  1. With Earl Bennett and Jordy Nelson to get clsoe looks shortly thereafter.
  2. JP is worth more as a backup in 2008 to the Bills than a 3rd round pick- especially since they would have to waste other assets to find an inferior backup.
  3. with that logic, they should use the #11 on the best true Center in the draft since that is also a need.
  4. Hopefully the bills recognize the versatility of Albert. By drafting him they will provide immediate depth at the G and T spots, if not an immediate upgrade. The bonus is that they will probably be able to convert him to C and solve that problem permanently.
  5. you are correct but it will be Chris - not Jake. This prelim contract talk is to set a base line to try to get Chris long to agree to something less than full value for #1 slot since he may slide as far as #4 if he passes on the Dolphins deal. They would be absolutely retarded to draft anybody that they don't have signed to a contract before they make the pick
  6. worst thing they can do is draft an injury prone prima donna with a poor work ethic who expects everything to be handed to him and whines, cries or has a nervous breakdown if it's not. players like Willis and Mike Williams -
  7. what cold weather? less than 50 degrees? you do realize that Michigan played its last 2007 regular season game on Nov 22? This cold weather experience argument is pure non-sense.
  8. This is correct. The Bills should only trade Losman for a high 2nd or better. The Ravens pick at #8 is probably high enough to allow the Bills flexibility to draft a QB in that range who is good enough to be #2.. They will also need to bring in a vet as insurance and stability as #3. Trading JP for anything lower is counter productive to building the core of the team and success in 2008
  9. Part of it was installed on a local bocce court
  10. Options 3 & 4 should be eliminated from consideration. Bills need to fortify the OL, DL or LBs with playmakers at #11.
  11. Since Ozzie Newsome runs their draft and knows talent- he won't be wasting the #8 pick on an overrated QB when he can fix his OL
  12. none of those Wrs are worth risking a 1st round pick on Earl Bennett and Jordy Nelson will provide similar production in later rounds.
  13. Brodie Croyle can throw from his back as good as Ryan can. KC needs to fix its OL before drafting an overrated turd at QB.
  14. I really like your plan to trade JP or Crowell. This fits in with the Bills history of needlessly creating holes where there were none - with the added bonus of not being able to replace or adquately fill the hole in free agency OR the draft. great plan!!
  15. we also need a Center- maybe we should draft the best one in the draft at #11
  16. Baltimore can stay at #8 and take Ryan to stop his free fall.
  17. Brady Quinn is a better QB prospect than Ryan and he fell to #22 last year
  18. don't woryy - the Bills would craft the deal so we could return Shepard before camp no questions asked except "what happened to our pick #11?"
  19. You don't need tall WRs to score TDs. The biggest improvement in scoring TDs is for the Bills to actually throw the ball into the endzone- preferably from outside the redzone. Historically, the most TD passes are from the 20 -30 yard lines. The Billls do not need the best players at WR and TE. What they need are the best playmakers available at their draft slots. They should not pass on playmakers on defense or a stud OL to take a lesser player just because he is a tall WR.
  20. our depth started last year. We need impact playmakers to take their place
  21. you bet- the more marginal training camp fodder, the better. Bills should use those lower round picks to gain more 3rd picks where they can get players that may start some day.
  22. speaking of separation - none of these 1st round "studs" has shown the consistent ability to separate from college CBs. they should wait and take Earl Bennett or Jordy Nelson. use the 1st round pick on a legitimate impact player on D or OL
  23. shoveling snow doesn't count. how many games do you think he played in weather below 50 degrees?
  24. It will have a much greater effect on the less talented front offices - or those that need to get a consensus from 12 people to finalize a decision.
  25. no one knows because the outdoor college season ends at Thanksgiing just because it snows in Michigan in January does not mean that Thomas played any snow or cold weather games in Nov.
