  1. Edwards has a QB coach to teach him.
  2. why would you possibly want Tim Rattay - let alone locked up 4 years
  3. Good idea. Too bad the chances of even a 1st round WR stepping in immediately and being an impact player is pretty remote - especially if the guy is supposed to be the possession guy running the sharp patterms with good timing witht he QB. A pure speedster could produce some by just running fly patterns. However, the Bills alleged need is for someone to do the dirty work opposite Evans - and it is highly unlikely a rookie will perform at this task.
  4. You need the 2 to get his replacement since there no options left in free agency. Even using a 2nd rounder is playing QB roulette to rely on a rookie as your primary QB if Edwards gets hurt.
  5. so riddle me this how do we get a potential impact pass rusher if #11 in the draft is not high enough and hopefully we won't be picking this high again any time soon.
  6. it makes a lot more sense if their real target is Harvey
  7. maybe because there are no free agents available that would help. even better to waste more picks on trading for a backup worse than JP.
  8. Sorry to disappoint, but "Everybody" liking Nugent would be limited to just you.
  9. Merling is the target if a trade down into the mid-teens. However, he is more in the mold of Kelsay and Denney - not a pure pass rusher
  10. pretty simple the WRs are inferior talents. Jenkins is a better playmaker than any WR in the first round. So even though the Bills may need a WR, they should take the better talent at #11. IMO - that impact player would be Harvery, Rivers or Albert - more than a CB or WR.
  11. giving away Losman for anything less than a high #2 is just plain stupid and a waste of resources. they will create anoher huge hole in the roster which they will overspend to try to fill with a rookie QB. if this deal goes down, you can be sure that someone in the front office is on the treadmill to nowwhere wondering why the scenery does not change.
  12. they spent 2 1st rounders to move up for him
  13. Even if we draft a WR in round 1 and a TE in round 2, the starters on day 1 will be Evans and either Reed or PArrish and Robert Royal.
  14. Hios cousin's name is a big reason why DRC is being mentioned as a high 1st round pick
  15. that's why you don;t take one with only 1 year of college production who had to go the JUCO route to college. Not being able to qualify academically at MSU in this era of preferntial treatment for athletes says alot about his ability to process info
  16. and like Moulds, it will probably take him 3 years to figure out the pro game- if does at all. There are only so many fly patterns you can have a WR run before he actually has to learn the offense. A
  17. you can't have enough slow pluggers at LB Maybe a playmaker or 2 with superior speed would be a better investment
  18. what is his background that he only played 1 year. Why is no one asking the question why he went the JUCO route to MSU? For a position that normally takes 3 yeats to adjust to the Pro game, will he be hindered by some learning disablility that forced him into the JUCO program? Why was he a total non-factor in the year before his breakout? In a year with a lot of WRs bunched arouond the same quality, Thomas is an unnecessary risk at #11. He could be another WR with great raw skills which is all negated by his inability to quickly process information.
  19. how can a guy with such superior size and speed attributes not totally dominate at the college level? There is a huge risk that he does not have the ability to separate from NFL caliber CBs, since he struggled with that aspect of his game in college. You don't need to waste a #1 pick on a guy that can't get open, evenif he is tall.
  20. because more marginal players are better - especially if they are tall!!
  21. overrated as a #1 WR, but he will outproduce whoever the Bills draft as a WR in 2008. The scary thought is the Bills want a potential #1 in a weak draft class because they will let Evans walk.
  22. He's better than Coy Wire. Not hard to pile up a lot of tackles when you're playing with the pizza boy.
