  1. McGhee is a press corner who is uncomfortable playing zone in the cover-2. He is much better at man coverage -which makes him a better fit for coverage on the slot WR. Greer has better instincts in zone than McGhee. It is yet to be seen if Leodis can adapt to the zone scheme - even though he may have the best man cover skills.
  2. The Jets whole OL suffered from Kendall being run out of town. But Mangold was their best OL last year./ Ferguson, for being a top 5 pick, struggled alot.
  3. The NFL wants to chamge the CBA so teams can get money back for certain conduct detrmental to the league (see Pacman Jones, Chris Henry)
  4. If the 2 most important positions on the team are QB and LT - then a smart team will have quality backups in place so the team does not totally collapse if there is an injury. Losman is a quaolity backup at QB. They have no backup at LT - for which they would not have to change their whole offense so their Qb does not get killed. Chmabers is a turnstyle
  5. good thing they will be getting $78 mil for those Toronto games. too bad the agents read the papers too and are aware of the extra cash
  6. Chambers is not a quality backup because he does not have the athleticsm and footwork to handle the typical RDE without a lot of help from the TE and backs. Chambers on his own is like a turnstyle. If he is forced to play, the entire offense will become comatose again because of the need to keep extra players in to block for both Walker and Chambers.
  7. If there is any question at all about Peters health, the Bills are even more arrogant than orignally thought for not pursuing a legitimate option at LT.
  8. sure he deserves the money. but maybe the Bills feel differently- Afterall - he was an undeserving UDFA who owes his career to the Bills And they have Chamberws ready to step in. It's a good thing the Bills were planning ahead and have a backup plan in place to give them some leverage
  9. yeah- hard to understand when you throw more money at him than the #1 pick got why he would not hold out for a long time.
  10. well there you have it. how could there ever have been any doubt
  11. teams aren't spending to the cap now. by 2010, the cap will be so high nobody will be close to it, especailly owners looking to control player salaries.
  12. he probably has to serve a 4 year commitment before he can play in the NFL
  13. and yet they have a better record than the Bills over the last 10 years and have been to the playoffs more recently than Buffalo.
  14. what's the problem? The OL will last forever AND they will never get injured. No need to keep filling the pipeline with draft picks that can be used on CBs
  15. with all the WRs on the board, Hardy should not have even been on their board. The front office is looking pretty hypercritcal in stressing high character - then picking a turd with a questionable past who blows up before he is even signed. Looks like they should sigend Ernest Wilford or Bryant Johnson and drafted an OL in 2nd round.
  16. The cheaters miked their HGH pumped LBs in 2007 so they could get on the field input on the offensive playcalls. Why do think the rest of the league will finally be allowed to mike a defender in 2008?
  17. Is he bringing his gun to Buffalo? As much as most posters on this board exhibit blind homerism, Hardy is a time bomb waiting to explode. There were concerns raised about his off the field conduct before the draft. It has been less than a month after drafted and he hasn;t even signed a contract, yet the rumors of his questionable conduct and judgment have already been confirmed. It's only a matter of time before he gets involved in something serious.
  18. With Hardy on the team, I expect them to come out with guns blazing. just don't get in the line of fire
  19. you can't be insinuating that Bobby Bowden let the criminals run wild.?
  20. You guys take homerism to a new level. With his history of unstable, if not violent reactions to stressful situations, it is only a matter of time before that gun he is waving around, goes off and wounds or kills innocent bystanders. But as long as he is a Bill, we should turn a blind eye to this behavior and create endless excuses.
  21. absolutely he needs to leave a trail of dead and injured before he can be run out of town. Anything less than that is simply a "misunderstanding" --(just pray that those you aren't related to the dead or injured or your opinion might change)
  22. of courses all teaqms know the plays The difference is that the Cheaters knew WHEN the plays were used so they could exploit them immediately.
  23. yeah-if he is really productive, they'll sweep it under the carpet and give him the prima donna treatment to which he is accustomed. If he busts or kills someone, they will waste another high draft pick next year on an overrated WR instead of building the trenches.
