  1. because he likes QBs that commit drive-killing and game losing turnovers!!
  2. but, it wasn't his fault
  3. Bills gameplanning and playcalling couldn't be any more conservative than it was this year as they tried to protect Beldsoe from himself.
  4. Vernon Carey is worse than any OL onthe Bills roster. Talk about a bust. Dolphins traded up to get him in 1st round and he wasn't even active for most games. no thanks
  5. too bad Wannstadt is gone, or he would have seriously considered such a trade
  6. and he pissed and moaned about having to do it too. 220293[/snapback] and he wasn't very good at it
  7. Ft Lauderdale SunSentinel reported this morning that Alex VanPelt has interviewed with the Dolphins for a spot on their offensive staff.
  8. Miami will need to move some of its overpriced defensive talent in order to upgrade the O-line and RB. (Jason Taylor would be nice) Surtain and Madison will probably be available, but they have huge exsiting contracts. McMichael could be available as well, but he is a totally useless as a blocker - so he may not fit the Bills priority of running the football.
  9. can't see Parcells passing up a future Hall of Famer with Drew's tremendous production in big games.
  10. yeah-that's probably why the Colts signed him. a team with no clue about offensive talent (no pun intended)
  11. JP may have some growing pains, but how will his mistakes be any different from the piss poor play by Drew in those games you listed above? At least with JP, the coaches will be able to run their entire offenes instead of dumbing it down to protect Drew from himself.
  12. too bad Dave Wannstadt is gone from the Dolphins. He loves big name players who are over the hill.
  13. Sorry- but at a minimum, Drew also gets direct credit for the Ravens and Steelers losses.
  14. If JP had started the first 4 games last year, the Bills would not have been 0-4. Drew makes as many stupid decisions as any rookie QB.
  15. I would have demanded Drew cut his pay to $3.5 mil, thus generating real saving $4.5 mil, both in cash and cap space. If he refused, I would have cut him and signed Brian Griese and possibly another cheap vet to compete. I also would have traded next year's 3rd for Drew Henson. Bledsoe hamstrung the entire offense due to inability to make decisions with the football. The offense was dumbed down to a rookie level to minimize the chances of Drew melting down. For a guy whose only real asset is his big arm, they sure didn't throw more than 10 yards downfield very much except on flea flickers.
  16. why would Denny Green want Drew at all? Josh McCown is more productive than Drew right now.
  17. Drew certainly committed hinself to improving during the offseason while playing for the Bills. Too bad he was working on fly fishing techniques in Montana instead of improving his blitz recognition, his mechanics and footwork while bonding with his teammates in Buffalo. But why would a Hall of Fame QB need to work on the little things?
  18. yeah - he signed with a team that knows nothing about QB talent - the Colts
  19. Teflon Tom's decision to cut Drew's pay to $8.75 mil last year is sure looking good right now. Not to mention, TD could have done nothing and had Drew play under his old contract and had ZERO dead money for 2005. If Drew leaves, TD should definitely bring in another washed up big name QB with deteriorating skills
  20. Even with rookie mistakes, how is starting Losman taking a step back? The offense has already been scaled back to rookie level to protect our hall of Fame QB from taking sacks and turning the ball over. The braintrust was so scared of Drew, they didn't even try to have him throw more than 10 yards downfield except out of gadget plays. With the enforcement of rules to open up the offenses, all but 2 teams in the league had their QB put up at least 1 300 yard game. But not Drew.
  21. Drew will only take a "paycut" if his salary goes up by $2.75 mil, like last year. With Drew, it's always been about the money and his ego. Highly doubtful Drew
  22. I believe Drew only goes to Montana for his summer holiday. He is probably in his Portland home for the off-season. Nothing like having your team leader making a full time commitment to his team's city.
  23. Can't see Teflon Tom pulling the plug after cutting Drew's pay down to $8.75 mil last yearwhen he had all the leverage.
  24. but he does produce better than Drew does. The Bills braintrust is scared by Drew and won't let him throw the ball because too many bad things happen when Drew looks downfield.
  25. Drew should jump on any restructure plan offered by Teflon Tom. Last year, Teflon Tom "cut" Drew's salary from $6 mil salary down to $8.75. With pay cuts like that, can't see why Drew is complaining. His performance against Pitts sure warranted the big money.
