  1. probably caused by reading about DRew's release from Bills
  2. you're right - Tulane was nationally ranked and JP screwed it all up. not like Drew, who self-destructed and kept the hottest team in tne NFL out of the playoffs.
  3. here - happy now that someone wrote it down for you? http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/p...356/1007/SPORTS "Sure there is risk turning to Losman, but not as much as many may think. Because of Bledsoe's limited mobility, the crazy magicians Mularkey and coordinator Tom Clements could only use a portion of their thick playbook. They felt like Penn & Teller with a bent wand. Beyond that, Bledsoe's horrendous touch on short throws often hamstrung their play calling. Bledsoe's 53.7 percent completion percentage (36 of 67) on throws behind the line of scrimmage was alarming. Brady and Indianapolis' Peyton Manning hit more than 76 percent of their screen tosses. Essentially, Mularkey's offense will be a lot more diversified with Losman's equally strong arm and superior legs"
  4. Teflon Tom did not need to increase Drew's pay for that opportunity. Drew could have played for his $6 mil salary. Or TD could have played hardball like the Pats do and demanded that Drew take a paycut to stick around. Of course, Drew's failure to spend the off-season making the most of this second chance should have been a clear indicator of Drew's commitment.
  5. more interesting will be how many times does JP beat the blitz with a big play to force the defense out of blitz mode. shouldn't be too hard to beat Drew's total inability to deliver the big play.
  6. yeah - I guess Moulds is young - when compared to Jerry Rice. We'll see what the coaches allow JP to run, then make your comparison.
  7. when you have a 11 year vet "Hall of Fame" QB and the only time you throw more than 10 yards downfield is on gadget plays, then you are running a rookie offense designed to not make mistakes. In a year when the league opens up offenses and you are only 1 of 2 teams to not have a single 300 yard passing game, you are running a dumbed down offense. watch the games to see what kind of offense the Bills were forced to run with Drew.
  8. too bad it's one year too late With the writing on the wall about Drew's lack of production, Teflon Tom elected to "cut" Drew's pay from $6 mil to $8.75 and unnecesarily created over $4mil of dead cap money for 2005. I think his ego got in the way last year.
  9. Drew is in Portland. He doesn't come to Buffalo to prepare in the off-season when he is the QB. Why would he show up to get fired?
  10. wow - what a surprise. At least he didn't take a pay "cut" like Drew and increase his pay from $6 mil to $8.75 mil. Boy - Drew's deal is looking better every day.
  11. you're right. the team is built to win now. pretty damming evidence that they have ZERO confidence that the known commodity can produce with the current supporting cast. Hence they are forced to take drastic steps to move forward.
  12. It is pointless to have a backup QB who can't run the offense teh starter will be running. It's a joke that the offense had to be dumbed down so Drew wouldn't embasrass himself, but people are worried about the rookie mistakes from JP.
  13. we need Randy Moss. No lesser talent will do.
  14. where do you think all those Democratic voters come from?
  15. Garcia is done. He is never on the field since he is always injured. Not to mention his skill set fits a short rhythm passing attack which is not what MM is running in Buffalo.
  16. Bills were 9-7 in 2004 running a dumbed-down rookie level offense, and having to overcome rookie level mistakes. Highly douobtful they would even match that next year with our current Hall of Fame QB. If Drew was serious about competing for the starting QB job, he would be in Buffalo with JP - not Portland.
  17. Nice try - but he's not a free agent yet. Whether he becomes one will depend a great deal on how they view Simms. GRIESE WON'T BE EASY In Tampa, there's no doubt the Buccaneers want to keep quarterback Brian Griese on board, but with the club an astounding $15 million over the salary cap, it might prove impossible. The Bucs will certainly need Griese's blessing to restructure his deal since the former Michigan signal-caller has a cap value of more than $8 million this coming season and a roster bonus of $6 million due March 1.
  18. sure - Bills fans won't tolerate crappy QB play, no matter how big a "name" that crappy QB has.
  19. Simms will probably start for the Bucs this year. If the Bucs feel he is ready, they will probably cut Brain Griese who would be a good vet to backup JP.
  20. Miami is just one team that you have evaluated incorrectly. There are many more. Miami needs an OL before everything else, starting with a stud at LT. They have 2 extremely good Wr's in Chambers and booker, without Boston. They will probably draft a RB to go with Gordon. To say they will have no interest in JJ is just plain ignorant. The same will apply to many more teams as well. Bills will take a serious step bakcwards if they go with your stop-gap solutions at LT. MW will never be any good at LT because his footwork is too bad to handle speed rushers.
  21. Fat Pat will probably be let go and Edwards and Anderson allowed to fill the role. FAt Pat will want too much money for his age and likely production.
  22. The Bills will be no worse with JP than with Drew.
  23. garcia blows- why bring in a prima donna who is not that good anymore to screw with the team's chemistry look for Batch or Maddox or even Jay Fiedler not some over the hill prima donna who is delusional about his current ability to start in the NFL
  24. only 3 teams , huh pretty wishful thinking Current salary cap status is no indication that teams won't be able to free up money. Dolphins are desparate for OL, especially LT and have a new fron toffice that will not commit 75% of its cap space to defense. Roman Oben sucks and was a stop gap because nothing else was available last year - which is why TeflonTom better not let Jennings go without his replacement on the roster.
  25. good idea They can move Lawrence Smith over to play LT- He's really good Jennings is the best option at LT -
