I remember wanting Keenan Allen in the first round.

And I got made fun of when he went in the 3rd.

The doubters think they won because a player was drafted late, like it validates their opinion. Some posters are nasty and have no side in the battle, they just see an opportunity to put someone down.

The scariest thing you can say to these people is “let’s check back in a few years”. This makes them gulp, especially with how short sighted and emotional they naturally are. They usually don’t respond after that.

  2. I’m against Coleman because I don’t think he will work out however I am very confident that the Bills have done serious due diligence on him and his character.

They have made two top notch draft picks after him which solidified in my mind that this is a top class organization regardless of how Coleman works out.

For those of you that aren’t thrilled about the Keon Coleman pick…remember one thing.  Word came out that he was the last receiver left on Allen’s wish list. Thats a big deal. Why would Beane not want to consult the face of his franchise when trying to get him more weapons?

This tells me that Allen’s wish list included Harrison, Nabers, Odunze, Coleman, and probably Thomas. Think of it this way…if worthy, pearsall, or legette were on that list, they would have taken them at 28, or at most 32 for legette. I’m sure Beane would have liked to have traded down another time, but he could have risked losing Coleman.

I wasn’t overly thrilled with Coleman being the guy, but while he might lack separation on tape, and a good 40 time, he also had amazing splits in the 40 and other drills. The drills are where the football comes out in these guys…you know, catching the ball. Haha. Anyways…when you look at the bigger picture with Coleman, it’s not a bad pick at all. The guy is really athletic, has great hands and body control…and most of all…Allen wanted him.

That’s great that Allen likes him but let’s not turn this into drafting Shabazz Napiers for LeBron.

Y’know, fans are pissed off about Keon Coleman but 99.9% of Bills fans pretty much adored Troy Franklin, but somehow Franklin is still available in RD3?

Great point. But the fallacy to your statement is that NFL careers are not decided on draft night.

Everyone that has taken a WR has taken another one over Franklin also. Will they all regret it too?

Everyone except Marvin Harrison and Rome Odunze.

Franklin will be a Desean Jackson level talent in the NFL.

The bigger issue is also the Coleman will not have the career of a Mitchell or McConkey either.

As I mentioned earlier, he's slow and doesn't separate. Two traits you just love to see in a WR.  But, hey, welcome to Buffalo.

Not thrilled at all here.  Not saying he can't be good, but when your claim to fame is winning jump balls, it's hard to get excited.

I will say that it's not all bad. He has elite body control.  He's a big guy that is physical and can get off press.  While he is not a good route runner, and he is slow for a WR, he uses his big frame well using his body to shield off defenders and high point the ball.  Elite hands and catches the ball well.

That said, I had several WRs rated ahead of him, some of whom are still on the board.  But hey......it's their guy and I expect him to make some great plays for us here and there.  I just don't feel he is a dominant player that teams will fear playing at least right away.

He seems like he’s built like a tank. WR more in the Shakir mold than a speedster.

Hoping we trade up for Franklin.

Getting Deebo Samuel would be a homerun for this team.  If they can keep the 33rd pick to draft DeJean and also get Deebo -- wowza!!

Yeah whenever I read fans talk about top players with stuff like “hard pass” and “meh” all I can think about were fans saying the same thing about Randy Moss when the Pats got him from Oakland. “They can have him!”

There’s a reason you buy low and sell high. It’s because the masses buy high and sell low.

if they had worthy, Legette, Mitchell, McConkey, Franklin, Coleman, etc all rated relatively the same, trade down, get more assets and take whom you like best of the remaining at 33, or further trade down to 36 and do the same. i think there's a >50% chance they trade down again tol the gih 30s 'cuz I think they like Franklin and think they can get him at around 40

There’s starting to be a run on receivers though. I mean Pearsall in the first round?

If you want Franklin then take him at 33.

It's also REALITY.  How can you possibly look at what has transpired between the Bills and the Chiefs going back to the 2017 draft and not feel the same?

    Hahahahahahahahha.

I plan on not living in the past.

  10. Wrap your mind around this:

Fans are losing their mind on trading down from 28 to 33.

Let that sink in. Then start ignoring these people.

Hahahaha this thread was all for nothing.  Beane said they never even tried to trade up and no one called them about seeing if they wanted to trade up either.

I was pretty certain that we wouldn't make a big trade up, and was very vocal about it.  But even I let the rumors get to me thinking well maybe they will even though it made no sense to me.

Gotta love the rumor mill of utter nonsense and BS this time of year haha

Yeah I watch this and I realize that the worst part of the job is dealing with fans and media who don’t know anything. The posts in this board last night and today are embarrassing.
