  1. So? What does that say about the guy who assembled the defensive line? Yeah, I agree. I think if you have to place emphasis on one, I'm going with the line -- that is where games are won and lost. We do need a couple of DE/edge next year for sure.
  2. This is why SF would be effective vs Balt (and NE). The D-line is the key to their defense; John Lynch intentionally made it the focal point and strength. McD makes the DBs the focal point of the defense, which IMO is no where near as effective.
  3. Agree. You probably want to blitz as little as possible to try and take everything behind the LOS away, and just rush four. I don't think we have the DE's to pull this off; this is the problem with a DB centric defensive approach.
  4. He's treating the game like a scrimmage at this point. RGIII is getting some much needed work.
  5. Kristal Koons, you mean? She (or at least her family) owns Chevy, Ford, and Toyota dealerships in the DC/Balt areas.
  6. Good chance. This time I think SF wins.
  7. Watch the Rams suck next year, the Chargers suck next year, and they both are in their fancy new LA diggs...where no one comes to see either team. That will serve the NFL right for pushing crappy football towns just because the potential for TV revenue is there. I want to see Goodell explain that away.
  8. If it takes the Ravens to beat the Pats and keep them out of the SB, I'm ok with that.
  9. Packers also lost to the Chargers (in LA) the other week; very strange and really shouldn't have happened. SF is a really good team and they showed it; I wouldn't read any more into it than that.
  10. I just wasn't expecting him to be this good. My thought is that he would struggle against NFL defenses. Lamar is a great athlete and John Harbaugh is a great coach - it has come together for Baltimore.
  11. A little short sighted, no? The Packers are 8-3, on top of the NFC north, and are much better than some thought they would be with a new coach and offensive system. Plus their defense is legit for the first time in years. It is odd that Green Bay struggles when playing in Calif. Wonder what happens if they play the Raiders in Oakland.
  12. Matt LaFleur and Sean McVay were coaches under Mike Shanahan in Washington, and LaFleur worked for McVay in LA; LaFleur seems to be doing fairly well
  13. Just look at Ed Oliver. He was a force at Houston, yet he had struggled this year until the last game or two. People who expect instant success from most of these rookies have unrealistic expectations.
  14. Watching Boomer and TJ recap yesterday's games is so much better than watching the obscure groups that used to perform during the Genesis halftime shows
  15. Yeah, Yolo pointed that out. College and NFL are two very different worlds, though. I don't think certain performance in college always translates to the NFL, or at the least it can take a while.
  16. Surprisingly, Lamar is a pretty good passer which surprises me.
  17. That's coaching which comes up with good schemes, which I attribute to John Harbaugh who is among the best in the NFL...Harbaugh, Carroll, and BB
  18. He's the same DB that drew the unsportsmanlike flag for swatting the ball away from the refs. If I'm John Harbaugh, I have a few words with him
  19. I doubt the Rams make the playoffs this year; too much competition in the NFC, especially West
  20. It works for now, but they will have to evolve into more of a passing team in the next couple of years.
  21. This is much worse than I thought it would be. Rams don't stand a chance.
  22. That is exactly what happened to the Rams.
  23. I would think you're safe unless the Ravens really lay an egg.
  24. As well as when everyone else leaves, Daboll remains upstairs.
  25. I think the Ravens win this. LA won't be able to stop all the Ravens run plays and the Ravens D has only been getting better; plus I don't think anyone fears a McVay/Goff offense any longer.
