  1. This is terrible. What's wrong with people? It's just a game and I hope Cody is as big as his stature, emotionally.
  2. This is not the case (Kraft overruled BB to Trade Jim G) per our Pats fan visitors. The Pats just extended Brady at the time of the trade, so Brady wasn't going anywhere. At this point, Kraft would be smart to keep BB and do what he wants. Brady is no where near the player he used to be.
  3. If Jordan Phillips wants Star L money, it is a no brainer to sign him. $10M/year for his production is not a bad deal for Buffalo. I suspect he'll want more; how much more is subject to speculation so I doubt anyone here would have a clue as to what the figure would be.
  4. Buffalo drafted up for Josh Allen and Tremaine Edmunds. The book isn't finished being written on them, but they should be fine.
  5. Could have had him instead of Ford, who they traded UP for
  6. 1 year/$15M won't get it done. Sounds like he wants a lot more, like 1 year/ $25-30M
  7. I think Josh will be better. I also expect McD and his staff to be better, a lot better. Yesterday was not good enough, on offense AND defense once they had a 16-0 lead and after half time. Third and eighteen, stop the Texans and there is a good chance the Bills win. Didn't do it. The defense on that play was flat out dumb. There is NO reason for a prevent defense formation; go with what got you to that point. I want to see that the Process applies to McD and his staff. I have my doubts as I haven't seen it this season.
  8. They were blown out by Philly 31-13. Couldn't stop the run and seemingly gave up somewhere in the second quarter.
  9. I think Beane and McD will want to keep Poyer and Hyde together, so Poyer will get re-signed and a nice pay raise. They won't create an unnecessary hole at safety.
  10. Seattle will win this game, making the Bills the only road team not to win during Wildcard weekend.
  11. Their defense is very good. I don't think BB wants a shell of his former self Tom Brady to stay as a game manager and make the offense weak. BB is all about attacking, on both sides of the ball.
  12. I'm not depressed about the loss, only disappointed. Not surprise, either TBH.
  13. More so with run blocking than pass blocking. Pass blocking is absolutely atrocious and not much (if any) better than last year.
  14. Honestly, I'm more bullish on Allen than I am on McDermott. Josh is a competitor and will learn, not sure I can say the same for McD and his staff.
  15. When do you pull the trigger? Training camp is the obvious answer; only problem is that occurs well after the draft. At the very least, they need to bring in and/or draft a RT; whether they want to give Ford more chances, or not. Ford's spot cannot be guaranteed next year.
  16. How much do the Pegulas understand about what they saw yesterday? If they're relying on Beane to translate the action for them, is Beane covering for McD and Daboll? Rhetorical questions for sure, but valid points, IMO.
  17. Yeah, Micah Hyde in particular...tired of apologizing for winning (X number of) games with the schedule they have. A lot of the defensive accolades where nullified at the 3rd and 18 that Houston converted.
  18. The problem is McD and Frazier don't attack enough on defense. They sit back, play zone, and sometimes soft zone/prevent, and expect that to win games; even with a poor offense. Odd philosophy to say the least.
  19. Better coaching? It boils down to that, IMO. Certainly not talent in Miami's case; an argument can be made for Tennessee.
  20. Lawson and Phillips should both be re-signed. Murphy shouldn't be too difficult to replace in FA. I certainly wouldn't advocate jettisoning individuals without at least a thought in mind to replace them. I'm sure Beane is well aware of this.
  21. Just as long as you're proud of the asterisks (*) your SB "victories" will contain, especially the earlier SB's. It's sad to think your dynasty was given birth to by an obscure tuck rule that was really a fumble. IMO, the league had it out for Al Davis, that is why you won that game.
  22. Why cut Murphy? He doesn't hold his edge and contain (usually pushed out of the play by the tackle), he is a liability in the run game because he is too far up field, picked on during screen and misdirection plays because of his lack of position discipline, and usually whiffs on QB sacks and RB tackles. Murphy apologists usually give the he got 5 QB sacks on the season, point to a token play, etc. Those pale in comparison to the plays, tackles, sacks he misses; leaves more on the field than he make. He did not play a great game. I really don't understand why some around here think Murphy is any good; he's not, he's terrible. Washington was right to let him go.
  23. That's right, thanks. I forgot about that and makes sense why he was mostly invisible today.
  24. Until McDermott gets as competitive as his platitudes, this team will not make it further than one and done in the playoffs...assuming they get back next year. Good summary, it reflects the disappointment most of us feel. We should have won.
