Cody Ford fined over 28k for illegal blind side block
Happy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watch this short video from NFL football operations. There is no way Ford's block was anything close to the examples provided. The rule is more than just the blocker's path are toward or parallel to his end zone. -
Cody Ford fined over 28k for illegal blind side block
Happy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shouldn't have been a penalty or a fine. Look at the :12 second mark, the Houston defender is looking at Ford (he sees him) and is raising his arms in anticipation of contact with Ford. The refs, and the NFL, got it wrong; the league offices are not going to contradict the refs. It is only getting worse under Goodell, who never should have got his new contract two years ago. -
If Shaq wants more than $10M, I agree he's gone. Jordan Phillips is another guy who, if he overvalues himself, he's gone. I'd like to re-sign both if possible.
-
You realize that Murphy is scheduled to make just under $9M this year? Shaq is worth that, and at the least, is worth more than Murphy. Signing Shaq for $9M AAV and dumping Murphy sounds like the right move.

A Letter to Bills Mafia - Dion Dawkins
Happy replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, he should not delete his post; he has a right to express his opinion, even though you may disagree with it. I agree to a certain extent in that Dawkins shouldn't get paid elite LT money, because he is not elite. Dawkins is average to maybe slightly above average, that is how he should be paid. If Dawkins stays, fine, he's certainly not the biggest problem on the o-line. But he's not Jason Peters, either. -
A Letter to Bills Mafia - Dion Dawkins

We’re all having babies. Show me the baby. No, really, show me the baby. This was a nice piece and I like what Dion says about the team and how the guys all like each other, but I want to see this team in the Divisional round next year. It's not just player execution (though that was a big part of offensive problems) it's also coaching...McD and Daboll. The players may want to be playing a year from now, but do the coaches? Judging by last Sunday's game, I'm honestly not sure. I do agree that the bandwagon is full. I'd rather not have Patriot castoffs on board. -
They side with Brady, I really think most of the refs like Tawmy. BB is a curmudgeon that they tolerate.

I want the Chiefs to win and I think they will win. Baltimore will ultimately go to the SB, and win.

Process What does it mean? What are the benchmarks?

Tua declares for the draft; do you want Miami to take him?
Happy replied to krf139's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haskins situational awareness is severely lacking. Dude was taking selfies with fans when he needed to take another snap to end the game. Talent wise, he won't pan out; after all, he was Snyder's pick. -
Way too early 2020 season expectations

AFCE Champs...whatever that W-L record looks like -
I think McDermott's conservatism caught up to him in this game.
Happy replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great questions and I'd like to know the answers to them. Supposedly "The Process" will solve these conservative tendencies as they clearly contributed to the loss, unless he completely blames player execution which some of that is to blame. McD, his staff, and their philosophy weren't good enough to win. We'll find out next season if McD can change his stripes, though I have my doubts; at this point my thought is the best McD will be is an AFCC coach. -
McDermott and Beane End of Season press conferences 1/7
Happy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was wondering about this. Looking at spotrac, my thought is he wants Fletcher Cox money, $17.1M average; at the least Marcel Dareus money, $14M average. The problem I see is Star is at $10M average and Phillips knows he is much more productive than Star, who is a little overpaid for what he does by probably about $2M/year for a rotational "space eating" DT. -
Really liked what Beane had to say today
Happy replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really like Beane and the job he's doing. Hope to see him as GM of the year soon. My expectation is that Beane makes every reasonable attempt to bring back Lawson and Jordan Phillips at reasonable rates, though he won't overpay. If a deal can't be reached with one or both, I am expecting to see an upgrade at both positions. -
Is Tre White worth top corner money?
Happy replied to DuckyBoys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And San Francisco would agree with me because the front seven are their strength. -
The REAL reason Duke Didnt Catch The TD Pass
Happy replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At least one of them the defender was hanging on Duke's left arm, which was not called. Not saying Duke is a #1, because he's not, but he's better than most are giving him credit for. -
What kind of Bills fan are you?
Happy replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, I think we'll be fine with Josh. Ceiling is still very high. -

Well, he's built like a #1 and is the biggest WR we have. Good target to have in traffic. -
Is Tre White worth top corner money?
Happy replied to DuckyBoys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, not worth paying CB's top money, not in today's NFL where it is nearly impossible to play the position without getting a PI flag. The money is better spent on elite D-line players, both DE/edge and DT. -
The REAL reason Duke Didnt Catch The TD Pass
Happy replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From what i can see, Duke's problem is he has a hard time getting separation from the defender. Other than that, he seems to be sure handed and doesn't have a problem with drops. I think he's a #2 or 3 WR right now, not sure he'll get to #1 due to lack of speed. -
Nope. He's just a defensive play caller, McD constructed the defense. Frazier is also a very conservative coach, I think teams are looking for more aggressive and cutting edge coaches. Finally, his tenure in Minnesota wasn't anything spectacular at all; at his age, chances are he hasn't changed...why take the risk.

We can only hope Ford will at least make a solid G. Supposedly the draft is deep in WRs this year.
