  1. They certainly have a vision, and it seems like this year that will not be fully realized. The next two seasons should tell a lot about whether it is a good plan, or not. The start of this year seems to be a tease.
  2. I think next season, as well as the 2019 season will answer this question. How will the 2018 draft fare? We have a lot of high picks to work with. What type of changes will McD make after this season is done? What type of changes will he make after this blowout? Have to wait and see; but the positive is we won't have to wait too long to find out what the next couple of weeks bring. I thought I recall McDermott and Beane being well thought of in the NFL community as up an coming coach and GM pair. I suspect someone had Pegula's ear after the Wrecks swindle.
  3. Agree with this. What McDermott does going forward will say a lot about him. Castillo should be fired, and he was a crony from the Andy Reid years in Philly. Dennison should be gone as well, and very well could be. I don't think Rico was from the Andy Reid tree.
  4. No, not by a long shot.
  5. We were completely embarrassed at home, no doubt. So does McD take back the jars of dirt he gave the defense?
  6. I really thought the Jets game was an aberration, but after watching this disaster I have to wonder. McD has his work cut out for him and needs to prove his "process" works.
  7. McD is a little too conservative; he seems to be playing not to lose. He needs to get more of a killer instinct...be more aggressive on defense and not solely rely on turnovers. Open the run up by stretching the field vertically.
  8. At 5-4, McD is not going to make a change QB. However, he should be putting A LOT of pressure on Dennison and Castillo.
  9. Under A Lynn, he did MUCH better. Then we changed the coaching staff, which I think is hurting Tyrod more than you want to acknowledge. Look, I'm really not a Tyrod apologist, but the contrast in offensive play between last year and this year is noticeable. I do not think Tyrod is the long term solution, but is a good option as a bridge to the QB of the future.
  10. I seem to recall the offense scoring a whole lot more last year. What happened since then - we got a new OC and OLine coach. I think that is affecting Tyrod more than some are acknowledging.
  11. So garbage time when the Saints were cruising with a 34 point lead proves Peterman should start? I'm not against giving Peterman a look in practice to see if he has improved, though at 5-4 I doubt there will be a change at QB.
  12. Dennison. Has not shown an ability to learn from past underperformance and adapt.
  13. Good post. #2 - DT has become a glaring need for the upcoming draft. #3- Have to wonder what's going on with the tackling, which probably points to the DT position. #4- Tyrod seems to have regressed from last year. I suspect Dennison's scheme has a lot to do with this, and everything to do with the ineptitude on offense.
  14. Beane just picked up Benjamin for a 3rd and 7th; ask the Panther fans who won that trade. Not Beane's fault Benjamin wasn't utilized. Tolbert has a place on this roster - short yardage specialist. Not Beane's fault Tolbert is being used as a RB2. Dareus was taking up a lot of cap space and was not a solid contributor this year. Dareus played what, 40% of the snaps. Doubt he would have helped today. Beane's eyes are looking more toward the long term.
  15. We're another game closer to firing Dennison and Castillo, as well as cutting Ducasse.
  16. Have to somewhat disagree here. Tyrod doesn't call the plays or make the offensive game plan, nor does he block or architect the blocking scheme. He doesn't play defense so he's not missing tackles or refusing to blitz. But I hear you, Tyrod holds on to the ball way to long and does not throw his receivers open; that is whenever he does throw down field.
  17. Brees is too comfortable in the pocket. Need to get more pressure, maybe try blitzing
  18. Brees is too comfortable in the pocket. Need to get more pressure, maybe try blitzing
  19. So why did we pick up Benjamin again? Not being utilized
  20. Yeah, they don't work like uncreative OCs think they do
  21. All McCoy. Need to spread the ball around
  22. Now, can Dennison call a smart series?
  23. we're killing ourselves
