  1. Alex Smith. True, he had a bad game against us, but he's had too many good games to ignore. He took KC to the playoffs last year. Not sold on Cousins at all and not worth the money he will ask. He will win some games, but chokes in bigger moments; such as week 17 last season vs Giants.
  2. Well, Tyrod's style of play worked the past two years; we averaged 25-30 points per game and Tyrod managed to stay healthy.
  3. Agree. You can't look in the recycle pile, which is where we got Dennison, to find them.
  4. Perhaps they should, instead of sweeping it under the rug. Perhaps they should pay attention to the breaks NE gets during game officiating. It is like NE is untouchable, a different set of rules for them that no one else gets, and this is not a new occurrence.
  5. Our offense was ranked (DVOA) 10th in 2016 and 9th in 2015. We're ranked 24th right now. I'd say that is a big drop.
  6. Yes, the huge drop in offensive performance from the past two years proves this.
  7. No, how often? I am not aware that Tyrod has a fan club, but I'm not a member. I'm a Bills fan who roots for the best QB (or any other position) option available to do well. I just find it frustrating that Tyrod's strengths are being capped by an inept OC and offensive system.
  8. We didn't win because the defense sucked the past two years. I seem to recall games where the opposing defense used a spy on Tyrod, as well as "trying to make him be a QB" because of his running threat. This tells me they do respect his ability; not as a true passer, but as a play maker in general. I'm not a Tyrod fan boy (really) but I think some of these criticisms focusing strictly on W-L records is a little unfair since they are not taking into account the entire team's performance, but rather simply and unfairly focusing only on Tyrod.
  9. Actually, this is not comforting given EJ's availability this season. A healthy EJ is a good EJ.
  10. You mean by long time in the league 5 years sitting the bench behind Flacco? Tyrod didn't start until 2015, and in the past two years, our offense was ranked (DVOA) 10th in 2016 and 9th in 2015. Tyrod is not the problem. I'm not saying he is comparable to Drew Brees, but given a system that is more friendly to Tyrod, the offense would be way more productive. The past two years show this. This year's Bills offense is the past two years Bills Defense.
  11. This may be one of the more effective tactics we can use. Playing a soft zone will get us destroyed; Pittsburgh showed that during last year's AFC championship game. If McD and Frazier can figure out how to better utilize our DLine and a fifth rusher/blitzer, it could be interesting.
  12. I actually feel bad for Tyrod. While not the greatest QB, he is far better than what this putrid offensive scheme allows him to be. If the offense played to his athletic, mobile strengths, I could see him being in the running to make another Pro Bowl.
  13. Doubt it. NE owns the Steelers. I can't recall the last time Pitt beat them.
  14. I don't get the reference...I assume there's something I don't know about Rex's reign of buffoonery
  15. Yeah, if you like circuses complete with fat, bearded women.
  16. Pats own the Steelers, so I doubt they're sweating it. Pats vs Philly, NO, or Rams is a different story. Those teams, and I'll include past Ravens teams, had a much better DLine than we have. That makes a big difference.
  17. I like (and agree with) your post, in general, but disagree with dumping Tyrod. What if NP is not ready by the end of next August? There is no insurance policy; we would have to go with a rookie QB and that is a huge risk.
  18. Haven't seen where Tyrod referred to Dennison as 'friend' but I'm also not sure how friendly they are toward each other. They could be pals, I don't know. I remember seeing Tweets from a few sports media writers that seemed to hint the QB change was something that Dennison convinced McD to do. Also, McD stated 'Tyrod is our QB' after the Saints loss, then on Wednesday, did a complete 180. Not saying that McD can't/doesn't change his mind, but doing an about face three days later doesn't seem like something McD would do on his own.
  19. No Gruden, the Ravens are not scary.
  20. Hard to see Houston coming from behind and winning this with just under 3 minutes to go. Here is Baltimore's remaining schedule: Lions at Steelers at Browns Colts Bengals Ravens can very well lose to Detroit, will lose to Pitt, and possibly lose to Cincy. After tonight, they're 6-5, and could finish 9-7 or 10-6.
  21. I can't agree with this flawed conclusion, and you're right, the logic does not make sense. Starting Peterman against SD was Dennison's idea because he probably thought Peterman could execute his antiquated offense better than Tyrod. And who ended up looking stupid for this? McDermott. If I'm McDermott, I'd be looking over Dennison's shoulder during preparations for NE and wouldn't trust him going forward.
  22. I'd like to see Peterman again, only next pre-season. Anytime before that means that either TT is injured or the particular game is not winnable; neither of which any of us should want to see. I reluctantly rolled with the idea of starting Peterman against SD, but that turned out to be a huge mistake in retrospect. So given that, I expect TT back as our starter in 2018 - we're not going to start a rookie QB we just drafted and I'd be surprised if Peterman beats out Tyrod next summer.
  23. Neither do we.
  24. Wright is ok and I think shows promise. He may just need a little more time. The DB I'm concerned about is Johnson (#24), he got abused often (run and pass) and probably shouldn't be on the field much.
  25. Pressure up the middle of the line, that blueprint has been shown to work by NYG, Balt, and DEN. DLinemen also need to get their hands up to deflect what passes they can, this worked for Baltimore a couple of years back in a playoff game.
