  1. Early 1980s (maybe 1982) at Rich Stadium, as a birthday gift. My dad took me to see the Bills vs Houston Oilers. Saw Earl Campbell play, and remember the entire stadium booing Joe Ferguson as he was introduced and ran onto the field.
  2. With regards to scheme, if Dennison is gone, that might not be an issue. But good point, McDermott will still be around and who knows the relationship Tyrod has with him.
  3. Oops...LA. Habit.
  4. What if it was Dennison that wanted to start Peterman in SD, and he talked McDermott into it? Tyrod is still better than Peterman at this point, but Tyrod has been really struggling as of late.
  5. That was Joe Flacco, who was giving himself up during a run. Kiko hit Flacco as he was sliding down. Cost Kiko $9K and no suspension. Good point and probably the right way to look at it.
  6. Exactly. I wouldn't be disappointed if we passed on WR and RB in the draft if we can get the QB we want and upgrade the OL and DL.
  7. http://www.rochesterfirst.com/sports/nfl/nfl-buffalo/gronk-hit-now-a-closed-issue-with-bills/876489024 Looks like the team is done talking about it, for better or worse. FTA: Orchard Park, NY - The Bills are ready to be done with the Rob Gronkowski hit. Sean McDermott and his players had their chance Wednesday to address the one-game suspension Gronkowski received for cheap shotting Tre'Davious White in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. McDermott flatly declined. "I'm not going there," he said.
  8. Hopefully Kyle retires. Glad he is a Bill, but doesn't seem like there is a lot left in the tank. Preston Brown should be back, at least for depth, assuming we get an upgrade...no? Humber is so-so. If he walks, so be it.
  9. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/atlanta-falcons/dontari-poe-9821/ Looks that way
  10. He's probably sitting on his plush throne, arms folded across his chest, and saying "It's good to be king"
  11. How does Eddie Yarbrough factor into future plans? Still depth or could he move to a starting role?
  12. Yeah, you could be right. It's amazing, though, how much better the OL looked last year, even with Tyrod.
  13. I'd like to keep Tyrod as insurance, also, but your post makes sense and why he will probably not be here next season. I'd look for someone like Bradford or Bridgewater to come in and next year.
  14. So does a good blocking scheme and offensive coaching staff
  15. I hear ya...holes they believe are worth creating. Next summer we'll see if they're right about it.
  16. Just don't bet a lot on the game. I hope the Steelers win, but don't expect it.
  17. I think McCoy stays. There are enough positions on this team that needs an upgrade, shouldn't have to needlessly create another.
  18. Well Hughes tries to do this...and gets unsportsmanlike flags.
  19. I get where you're coming from, but the players policing themselves will lead to the inmates running the asylum. At what point would "retribution" be served, and who would determine when enough is enough?
  20. I think it is possible we'll, at some point, have an offense that can compete with Brady, assuming the defense does its job. Obviously need a QB and a bunch of other pieces, but I'll give Beane and McDermott the benefit of the doubt. Agree that whatever offense we have, McDermott will not run the score up. You're probably not far off, 10 points is a big cushion for McD. Hope he sheds some of his conservatism since he should be seeing that it won't beat Belichick.
  21. This is where Tolbert would have come in handy. Exactly the type of carries he should be utilized on.
  22. McDermott is certainly conservative, but I don't know if he is quite that bad.
  23. Yep, last year with Anthony Lynn, who was able to get the most out of the offense. Unfortunately, we have Dennison who is too rigid, and conservative. If only we had last year's offensive coaching staff, with McD and this year's defense, we may have made the playoffs.
  24. McDermott has been conservative all year long. But there is no way this offense is going to score 30 points against a team with at least a decent defense.
  25. McDermott might want to go back and review a few of the games we lost where the defense played well enough to give them a shot to win, starting with the Carolina and Cincy games. That could make the decision easier.
