  1. Not making anything up, ricko. Look at the gif of the catch below and tell me you can for certain say the ball hit the ground. Looks to me that James had possession of it during the entire process. As far as your Gronk scenario, not applicable. It would probably not be questioned, or if it was, never overturned.
  2. Pretty cut and dry looking at the picture with "Ball comes loose", huh? I'll go ahead and make my own picture with "Ball stays secure" and call that cut and dry. Bottom line is there was no way the replay officials could determine if the ball hit the ground. Looking at the replay many times, the receiver shifted the ball from his left hand, over to his right hand and rests on his fingers. The slight spin of the ball indicates this transfer took place, IMO. If it hit the ground, I think you would see more of a bobble, which this was not.
  3. Both Blandino and Mike Periera are siding with the NFL officiating on this play. Just look at their twitter feeds. BUT the receiver does not become a runner until he completes the process of the catch. TOTALLY DIFFERENT 1,724 replies2,129 retweets3,831 likes Reply 1.7K Retweet 2.1K Like 3.8K
  4. No way Cooks had control of the ball at the end of the catch. It hit the ground as he rolled over it. If this was a catch, then the Steelers should have won yesterday; even if the ball touched the ground, which there is no conclusive evidence that it did. A little consistency on the part of the NFL officiating would be nice.
  5. Looking at the video clip several times, it looks like the ball shifted from his left hand controlling it to resting on top of his right hand, where his fingers would be underneath the ball. I think the slight spin would indicate such a transfer. From what I can see, that was a catch and certainly not at all clear the ball hit the ground. The replay officials obviously saw this, so it is perplexing how they came to a conclusion that would cause the overrule.
  6. I doubt the Steelers drop another game this year. They're at the Texans and finish with the Browns at home. I think they keep the #2 seed. Our offense has been a recurring problem this year. I hope we can put something together to finish strong.
  7. The Jags do have a good D and Bortles has outperformed somehow this year. But the Steelers have a good D, which will give Bortles problems. You also cannot deny that Pitt has a very good offense, and should have Antonio Brown back by post season. As of right now, the game will be played in Pittsburgh in January; advantage Pitt. Agree that defense wins championships, which should concern you regarding NE. Teams with at least a decent offense can put up points against them, as we saw today and last week vs Miami.
  8. You sure about this? I think you're giving the Jags A LOT of credit. IMO, a rematch is more likely than not.
  9. SF beat TEN on a last second FG
  10. Sf Wins.
  11. The problem with playing NE is you have to build a minimum 14 point lead toward the end of the game to have a shot at winning
  12. There was time to take a shot at the EZ. If it didn't work, they would have kicked the FG
  13. What a bunch of BS. This league sucks. Just give it to them, Ralph was right
  14. If they overturn this...
  15. TD !!! Yes... Good night Cheaters
  16. effn Gronk. What a good trained baboon
  17. You're right. Finish them off Pitt
  18. And here it comes. Hold on Pitt
  19. Nice, Brady sacked again
  20. TEN up vs SF 20-16. C'mon SF
  21. Of course...a meaningful game like that
  22. ha-ha. Maybe his friends didn't want to share
  23. Looks like we're nationally televised next week
