Brady. He executes that offense to perfection. No other QB they have or get will be as good. I don't know about that. Yes, I think the league helped them get here, but I think the Pats are on their own in the SB. Look at the SB losses vs the Giants, Brady was called for intentional grounding in the 1st quarter, which ended up being a safety. No way that happens in the regular season.

The bolded part you got exactly right. Bruce Allen is Danny's 'yes' man and knows how to survive. My understanding is McCloughan was not a 'yes' man, and actually knew how to function as a GM. Doesn't matter, though. I've spoken with several fairly knowledgeable Redskins fans and none of them are happy with removing McCloughan as well as Danny and Bruce Allen assuming more power. IMO, the bright spot is Jay Gruden, as I think he has done a good job; we'll see if he is the next to be thrown under Snyder's bus. Acquiring Alex Smith is a good move, and probably the best they could have made. My understanding is RGIII was Danny's pick. Cousins was Mike Shanahan's pick.

The problems in Washington begin with, and are, Dan Snyder. McCloughan wanted to extend Cousins two years ago to avoid just this situation, but Snyder and Bruce Allen waffled and the deal never got done. The Redskins possibly looked to have turned the corner, but alas Danny can't stay out of his own way. As pointed out in this thread, McCloughan to Cleveland is a good move on the Browns part. They have a ton of picks, and the FO that will know what to do with them.

Please don't rain on my parade. What you say is true, that would be very disappointing.
