  1. Defensively. He and Frazier go into a soft zone/prevent D, which prevents you from winning. This prevent D theory has been proven a bad choice for many years so not sure why McD thinks it will work for him.
  2. This is what I don't like about McDermott, his tendency to go conservative even with a small lead. That is not how you win big games. He has to change his approach and not take his foot off the gas pedal.
  3. The D also failed to stop the Texans on 3rd and 18. Had they stopped Houston, the game was likely over and Buffalo would have won. The offense was anemic all season long, you cannot expect that to change, even for a playoff game.
  4. Happy Birthday, Terry. I hope the price of natty gas starts to appreciate.
  5. Nobody should have expected the offense to win that game, they didn't do so all season. The defense was supposed to win that game, and they failed to do so.
  6. It's not just you, there are plenty of others. We have to beat winning teams in the regular season before we get too excited about winning the post-season. Know how many playoff teams we beat this past season? Zero (0). All our victories were from teams that did not make the playoffs. That has to change.
  7. Let's just start by winning the AFCE, which includes beating NE, even without Brady. SB talk is waaayyy premature.
  8. It's way too early to come to this conclusion. I'm sure the higher ups in college and NFL may have this thought come across their mind, but I doubt they're ready to cancel their seasons. Surprising this is coming from Kirk.
  9. I do not agree with assigning grades to posters and I believe everyone should be free to voice their opinion, regardless of how unpopular it may be. This is a message board and contains some facts and a lot of opinions, which it should. I absolutely do not agree with some of the group think that goes on, meaning mindlessly standing behind an opinion or belief that is 'popular,' whether it be Ralph, Beane, McD, whoever.
  10. Everyone else pointed that part out; Ralph was not a good owner from the point of firing Bill Polian on. I wanted to point out that what he helped start wouldn't have happened without Ralph; a bigger picture post, if you will.
  11. Bigger picture, Ralph (along with the rest of the original owners) founded the AFL and helped merge with the old NFL to become what is now the current NFL. He gave Al Davis a loan so the Raiders could survive, so without Ralph it could be argued that the current NFL may not have come into existence. I'm not a big fan of many of the current owners as too many are rich, greedy odd balls; the founding owners had a vision and built something great, that the current owners are destroying. So thank you Ralph for founding a team in a blue collar western NY town, keeping it there, and being instrumental to starting (arguably) the most successful professional sports league that has ever existed.
  12. Not sure why we're so excited about this. He hardly plays (stays healthy). When he does play, EJ is good, but that isn't enough.
  13. Very sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family.
  14. Depth and special teams. I wouldn't count on him to have any type of impact as a starter.
  15. If one of them was a bat found in South China and the other was a Chinese man who ate the bat, then yes. You decide which is which.
  16. Ross is kind of an odd duck, but I don't think he's Dan Snyder bad. Snyder has forced multiple disasters, Ross doesn't have that kind of track record...as far as I know.
  17. I would guess the virus will be under control by early summer. If it last until September, the NFL season will be the least of the nation's worries.
  18. I don't buy it. Chris Grier and Brian Flores are not that stupid and they know they need those picks for other positions.
  19. No. This video was created before all that happened.
  20. I don't see Josh not working out, he won't be a bust. He may not win as many SBs as Elway, but Josh will play enough like him that moving up to draft Josh will be worth it.
  21. This is an old video. I remember seeing it about two years ago. Glad Poyer came to Buffalo and is staying a while longer.
  22. Daboll insisted on running Gore around the tackles and to the outside. He wasn't fast enough to do that, and would have stood a better chance running between the tackles. Daboll is a clueless play caller.
  23. 300 yard passing games don't necessarily matter. I wouldn't use that as any type of benchmark.
