Dolphins Reveal Plans for Attendance at Games This Year
Happy replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Should be interesting to see what type of attendance plan stadiums adopt. If only half the stadiums are allowed to be filled, for distancing rules for example, you have to wonder how many of the concessions would want to open. The concessioners have to pay to operate in the stadium, and with reduced spectators = reduced revenue, not sure it is worth it for them to operate in a stadium on game day. -
I don't remember that. What did Jimbo say, if you don't mind?

RIP Coach Shula. An all time great and pioneer, you will be missed. I couldn't stand him in the 90's, probably because his team was always prepared and played the Bills (and every other team for that matter) tough.

It seems like the Zach Moss pick is a very good one, and it was a position of need, but these interviews with the player's former coaches aren't going to be negative. The coach is not going to say Moss is weak at this and that, should do this better, etc. The interviews are always complimentary. Moss should bring power on tough yard situations and am glad he was our third round pick.

What is the one spot on the roster that still has a hole?
Happy replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Offensive Coordinator. Daboll needs to be better, especially in the play calling department. Josh should get better on execution as he is gaining experience and the game is slowing down for him. That leaves Daboll as not trying to outsmart the defense by changing a tactic that is working; keep attacking a vulnerability until the other team proves they can stop it, not before. -
Same as always, put names of all players associated with the Bills in a bag and the coaching staff draws to see who makes the roster. Here's the catch - it has to be done by process; McD chooses first, Daboll on defense and Frazier on offense. That is not a typo. The OC chooses defense, and vice versa, to avoid favorites.

Who will be the next Bills player to go on the wall?
Happy replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Aaron Schobel and Kyle Williams. Both are deserving and spent their entire careers as Bills. -

Not much different than what they did with Brady last year; NE is back to counting on a strong defense to win games for them like in the early Brady years. Brady was in decline last year and they were very beatable. If we can't beat NE with Stidham, then I don't know if we ever will. I'm pretty sure Brett Favre talked to Josh about that. It seemed to resonate as Josh learned to slide, instead of taking hits, as the season went on.

Happy 22nd Birthday Tremaine Edmunds

As long as McD is HC, agree that Edmunds will be MLB on this defense. -
DiMarco is 31 and his contract is done after the 2020 season. Probably is gone after this year.

He would be on some defenses. -
DiMarco was voted Captain on special teams, I think that is why he is still around. Not sure why he sees the field at all on offense. I'm not against using a FB, just against using DiMarco as a fullback. He hasn't done anything worth talking about on offense. Daboll should look at how SF uses Kyle Jusczyk if he wants a FB.
-
By Kyle, you mean Kyle Williams, I assume? Maybe they stunted more under Jim Schwartz or Wrex. I don't recall them doing much stunting at all last year. Even in season's past, Leslie Frazier is not the type to be aggressive up front. I'm wondering if that would be any different if McD, himself, was the DC. I don't recall what Carolina did as far as the line goes. Anyway, Leslie is fairly conservative regarding what he does with the line.
-
No. Why would I be? We are typically vanilla up front. Frazier gets creative with his disguised coverages in the back field.
-
If Frazier would actually call stunts. Maybe now he will be more inclined to do so with Epenesa and Jefferson at the edges, at least we can hope.
-
So did your friend sue Scott Steiner? Unprovoked assault is both a criminal and civil case.
-
I think it's fine to roster a fullback, just use them properly. Look at what SF has done with Kyle Jusczyk, who is an effective weapon. The way Daboll has managed the fullback position has been a travesty.

Bills 2020 Motto per McDermott "Find a Way"
Happy replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He sure comes up with some good platitudes, these need to be transferred into winning key games (vs Pats, playoff caliber teams in the regular season, playoff caliber teams in the playoffs). -
Yeah, not a new idea. Been discussed for a couple of weeks.
