  1. Hard to pin down. Could have come from Rex, a disgruntled scout/employee, or even Whaley or Russ Brandon. Glad this is not an issue right now as the front office is a much tighter ship.
  2. Not so much this year, but in 3 or so years, yes they can be a very good team. I say 'can' because Brian Flores and Chris Grier have to follow through with a strong FA and draft again next year and it takes a few years to fully develop the new team. I do think Flores is going to be a great coach and that worries me. If Adam Gase was not the HC, I would be a little more concerned about the Jets.
  3. Not the Cowboys...again. They already were a dynasty in the 1990s.
  4. For what? He's selling a jar of zinc, vitamin C, rice, and a few other non-drug ingredients to the chowdah heads in NE and a few dummies elsewhere. It's not illegal.
  5. "One for the road" isn't new and didn't come about by accident. I know, or at least knew, an older guy who will still pop one open for a local drive.
  6. It's definitely not the first time this kind of thing has been done. You don't need FDA approval to sell repackaged vitamins, just a good marketing plan.
  7. Eric Wood looks like he dropped even more weight. Seems like he's down to 200 lbs.
  8. Hey Wally, the Warden won't let ya out of the house? Eddie Haskell was my favorite character. RIP Ken.
  9. I mentioned as much. If Josh still has deep ball inaccuracies and the game doesn't slow down for him, then yeah, Josh won't help in winning.
  10. I vaguely remember him as I was as very young at the time, though recall he was a solid DE. RIP Gentle Ben.
  11. This is exactly why the Bills are not ready to go to a SB this year. It's about McDermott growing as a HC just as much as it is about Josh growing as a QB. I believe Josh is up to the task, McDermott.........we'll see.
  12. Ravens will win the AFCN. The Steelers defense will be solid, but they will not stop Lamar Jackson. Roethlisberger won't be the same QB as just a few years ago.
  13. If Daboll and the o-line can figure out an answer for the blitzes Baltimore will dial up, as well as their d-line pressure stunts, then I agree with beating Balt. Until then, the Ravens will win most, if not all, of the time. KC will be tough, but I think you have to get pressure on Mahomes. Easier said than done, but you can't beat him with coverage only.
  14. Have to agree with Jim Kelly; winning the division and beating NE is a 'must do' this year. I don't think we're ready to win the SB, or even get to it at this particular point. They have to prove they can easily win the division for one, and two, the Bills have to prove they can beat KC and Balt. This year should provide some indication of the two.
  15. Thanks. Another poster mentioned the Chargers signed a 20 year lease on the new stadium in LA. I'm guessing years of being ok to slightly above average wore SD fans down since the good weather and a geographically abundant state gives them more to do than watch football.
  16. I see you're still whining over passing on DK Metcalf. Just stop.
  17. He probably arrested you and you're just bitter you got caught doing who knows what.
  18. Now that you mention that, I do remember that episode. You are probably right about Zsa Zsa. Joe Namath made an appearance on an episode.
  19. No, it's not great. But he's hardly the first pro athlete who got a DUI. Ed can turn this around and move past it, if he wants to. He has to realize the mistake and make a concerted effort not to repeat it. I'm confident the Bills organization and Ed will be able to move past this. But again, it is up to Ed.
  20. Ah, yes, Kujo....that is what we called him because his name is too hard to spell; your spelling may be correct. IIRC, he did land with another team, but it was short lived. I think he was out of the league shortly there after because he was just not a good lineman. None of it had to do with Kujo being found naked in a field.
  21. And Star or Murphy haven't gotten any better. They're still the same over-paid, middling players that they have been.
  22. He's hardly the first pro athlete to get a DUI. The same questions posters are asking here (why not hire a limo, Uber, etc) are no different than when the last pro athlete got a DUI. Oliver is no different than any of those who got a DUI before him. I think it is just the belief that people have where it (DUI, crash, whatever) won't happen to them...until it does.
  23. Maybe the police got the serial number wrong, transposed a number or something
  24. Great idea Bills stadium ^^^^ Retractable roof ^^^^^^^^^
  25. You're absolutely right about GMs and coaches hiring those they are familiar with, which just supports my point that the Rooney Rule is just a box checking entity. Too many minority candidates get an interview based on the Rooney Rule then get passed over for the coaching position that the HC and GM know. Maybe the interview leads to some networking opportunities, but that is not the intent of the rule. Anyway, this new new proposed resolution takes that a step further and completely goes against the spirit of sports.
