  1. I agree with the OP that the AFC is setting up as the dominant conference. An interesting consequence of this is that AFC teams will have the toughest schedules, so the worst records in football are likely to come from the AFC as well. This year’s Jets and Jaguars are a perfect example of this. If this trend continues, then the first overall picks will stay in the AFC until some balance is restored.
  2. Feels like a QB controversy is brewing. 😎
  3. The TD pass to Kumorow was clearly a turnover worthy throw. 😏
  4. I missed that and had to back and read them. We really have to start teaching sarcasm in our schools - the education system is letting us down. 😀
  5. I love this satirical response from Buffalo Fanatics: https://thebuffalofanatics.com/sean-mcdermott-breaks-difficult-news-to-team-football-god-nick-wright-doesnt-billieve/ It's a quick read and really made me laugh.
  6. I was curious to see what the High IQ guy had to say, with the Bills winning over so many skeptics with the last two wins. Surely, as a Bills fan, he must be coming around and enjoying this great ride. Instead he hasn't had a single post since Nov. 29. I guess the old adage still holds... If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
  7. Great write-up @Shaw66!! In addition to everything you said above, I also loved the last Bills' possession that consumed the final 7:11 with 14 plays and 4 gut-punching 1st downs to close out the game. When Pittsburgh was desperate for another possession and a chance for a miracle, the Bills would not let that happen.
  8. ... as we spend 7 hrs at work reading Bills' content on Victory Monday. 😎
  9. I made the same move. The Stillers defense is about to get roasted.
  10. Wallace had a tough matchup with Aiyuk last night and it's fair to say that Aiyuk got the better of Wallace. Football is a game of match-ups and this is the only match-up I could see that favored the 49'ers. Dane Jackson looked good in his two appearances this year and I'd like to see him elevated to the active roster to get a few more snaps to find out if he's ready for a bigger role. I think he's done enough get a promotion from the practice squad. McDermott has instilled a culture where young players need to earn their way onto the roster to keep them "hungry and humble." As fans, we get impatient when we think that better players are held down on the depth chart (e.g. Boettger), but if holding back on promotions to starters reinforces the culture where playing time is earned, not given, then we can try to be a little more patient as this is a big part of the Bills becoming a contender.
  11. I was scrolling through the PatsFans.com thread that was following the Bills/SF game and one of the posters was complaining about this call that Allen got. Did he really not notice the favorable calls that Brady got for the last 20 years?
  12. When I played hockey, most players used grey or black face masks because they were easier to see through than the white masks. I’m not sure if it’s as important in football, since the opening is much larger.
  13. C’mon Hap... if we aren’t firing someone after each loss and narrow victory, we aren’t even trying. 😎
  14. With the 49er run game, the 4-3 defence would be a better fit than the 4-2-5. We haven’t put a lot of 4-3 on film this year, so SF would take a few possessions to adjust if we defend this way.
  15. Nathan Peterman was damn good at avoiding punts too!!! His passes never hit the ground. 😎
  16. I love this take @Virgil - I think you’re absolutely right. Is it too much to suggest that the absence of Kraft Productions providing sideline footage has weakened the Pats ability to anticipate their opponents moves? The drop off in play from the AFC Championship game to this years team goes beyond just the decline in on-field talent. (This is mere speculation from a proud member of the Tin Foil Hat Associaton).
  17. I grew up playing hockey, as every good Canadian boy should. I didn't start watching football until I was in University when I would watch it with my room mates. I was completely hooked on the sport by the time I graduated, but hadn't really picked a team yet. After graduation, I was broke and didn't want to pay for cable. The Bills were the only team that I could watch for free every week, so I became addicted to this team. I guess you could say the Bills were the only team I could afford.
  18. I think the NFL needs a team where all personnel decisions and in-game play calls are made by discussion board democracy. There is no team in the NFL, run by mere individuals, that could match the aggregated intelligence of the discussion board community.
  19. Is there any reason right now to believe that the Jets don't pick 1st again in 2022?
  20. Are the Moorman days back?
  21. The Bills are #1 in the AFC East!!!
  22. I was starting to forget how much I hate the flaming thumbtacks. I remember now.
  23. I'm in Canada, so this won't work for most of you without a VPN, but I watch NFL GamePass on DAZN. I can either pay $20 Cdn/mon or $150/yr. I get the full year as DAZN also provides Champions League Soccer, so I use it year-round.
  24. I'll post it again, since this is such a big thread and you'll never find it any other way... Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961, which exempts the NFL from antitrust laws for its broadcasting rights. The act prohibits NFL broadcasts on Friday nights and on Saturdays "beginning on the second Friday in September and ending on the second Saturday in December."
