AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
Forward Progress replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bishop's speed is only a blessing if he knows where to go with it. I hope he's been an A+ student of the game since he last took meaningful snaps. -
I heard in a podcast this morning that the Saints have lined up 3 or 4 candidates for second interviews (in-person) next week. Joe Brady is one of the contenders with an interview next week. It's not a done-deal yet, but Brady is clearly still in the mix for the Saints job.

AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
Forward Progress replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have a guys' weekend every year where eight of us meet up in a NFL/NHL city to watch football and hockey and have a good time exploring a new city. I had the pleasure of meeting the real KC fanbase about 10 years ago (before the Mahomes era). Out of 15-20 NFL cities that I have experienced, the KC tailgate was the most welcoming and enjoyable experience that I had. I am happy to vouch for you that the real long-term fans in KC are great people. The entitled bandwagon-jumping folks that call themselves fans today are giving your real fanbase a bad name. -
Dude…. This is the most obvious sarcasm ever written in the internet. Duolingo needs to add sarcasm to its list of languages to learn. The previous poster has the same opinion as you that Allen is as tough as nails. There needs to be a sarcasm font too to help avoid these misunderstandings.

This is the answer I got as well. I think it's right.

Marcell Dareus Arrested in Alabama on DV Charges
Forward Progress replied to HurlyBurly51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember being very happy that Denver took Von Miller and left the real prize, Darius, for us. I guess this is why I haven’t been selected as an NFL GM. 🤷♂️ -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Coach of the Year
Forward Progress replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
The coach of the year award doesn't go to the best coach... it goes to the coach of the team that most exceeded pre-season expectations. Daboll won it in 2022, now he's on the hot seat Vrabel won it in 2021, fired at the end of last season Matt Nagy won it in 2018, fired two years later Are these coaches better than Andy Reid, who won it once in 2002 with the Eagles or McDermott who has not won? Absolutely not!! If you are the coach of a team with playoff expectations (even if the expectations are because of your coaching), you won't win this award. Just like the NFL MVP, coach of the year is another narrative award. -
This is the way that threads should be bumped…. well done!!!!

This plus Houston (rival for the number 1 seed) and Minnesota (draft pick)

What are your thoughts on the Steelers QB situation?
Forward Progress replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Steelers now have the best back-up QB in the league. When the first QB gets hurt in the league next year, the Steelers may have the chance to trade one of these guys for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. If this scenario plays out, they can turn a cheap free-agent signing into draft capital to support a re-build. Sounds like a good plan to me. -
Replay Review Approved for Game Clock Expiration before Snap
Forward Progress replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
In video review, are they still allowing the ~1s of grace or the time up when the clock hits 0? I hope they make it black and white. There are enough rules built on the judgement of the official... the play clock shouldn't be one of them.- 41 replies

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - I Just Love the Bills
Forward Progress replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Your Rockpile Review is my favorite read each week. It provides the perfect balance of passionate fan with level-headed perspective that I really enjoy. As much as every playoff loss hurts, these are the glory years to be a Bills fan. In a strange way it was easier to be a fan of a team with no expectations, where every win is a pleasant surprise. Learning to enjoy the down days of a perennial contender takes a different mindset. I'm ready to fast-forward through the off-season and start 2024. GO BILLS!!! -

Kansas City at Buffalo in the Divisional Round!

Bernard needs to come out for the first play on defense like this!!! -
Good!! We suck against weak teams!
-
This was me. I thought Bernard would be picked on all year long. He has made more big plays this year than Tremaine did in all of his years here.

69 ALWAYS wins!!!

YOLO is in the house!!!!! You've been missed!

They were all shining when DaQuon Jones was playing well. Once DaQuon went down, our entire D-line went down with it. The big guys up front never get enough credit for the roll they play in freeing up others to make plays.
-
I completely agree. All of the talking heads are taking notice of Tre and Milano (rightfully so), but DaQuan Jones loss will hurt much more.
