  1. A nice model for the US. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/21/world/europe/21britain.html?partner=rss&emc=rss
  2. Looking at the investment landscape, gold still looks pretty solid. A helluva lot better than anything in dollars.
  3. Halladay's no-no, the story of the post-season, is about the only way to the WS the way the Phillies aren't hitting.
  4. Winner winner chicken dinner. Phillies haven't hit for jack this entire post-season or regular season or last post-season. Unless the starters keep pitching shut-outs, they could bomb right out.
  5. I know it. So do you. Lee >>> Yankees hitters.
  6. That's what I'm saying. Do you think that somehow the Yankees were about to take down Cliff Lee nee Steinbrenner?
  7. It was a loss either way. If the bullpen hadn't blown up, LEe finishes the game. And even though his pitch count was 122, there's no way he was coming out if it was 2-0. The Yankees have dead bats and poor pitching. The Phillies have dead bats and great pitching. Texas has to be the hottest team right now.
  8. So you think Lee passed his Yankees tryout?
  9. I am anti-incumbent 8 days a week. But I also wouldn't vote for a straight lunatic.
  10. You don't count. You're an expansion fan.
  11. Sarah's not someone I could ever vote for but she's sticking it to the Republican Party, challenging them yesterday to "man up" and break from the establishment. Part of me loves her brassy rhetoric.
  12. O'Donnell is a real kook...not sure how anyone could vote for her.
  13. I wanted Gaither this off-season. I know he's an injury question mark but at such a huge need position, I can't see a lot of downside. If he can't play, the Bills are no worse off. If he can, they have a really good player and certainly one better than any current Bills tackle.
  14. Wishing I lived in New York for a change. I didn't need to hear him speak.
  15. Yankees fans? <crickets>
  16. The gold is all in his mind, just like my 40 billion.
  17. Don't you need to go back to insulting Bill in NYC over the posts he's been making for years?
  18. Right. 5 years ago when by your own admission, you became a Yankees fan!
  19. For all your insulting Cowherd talking out his butt, you are doing it yourself. Hockey ratings are not in decline: http://www.baseball-almanac.com/ws/wstv.shtml Soccer ratings for the World Cup this year set sport records. Major League Soccer ratings are flat while attendance is up. http://www.blnz.com/news/2010/04/22/appears_expand_Montreal_3367.html MLB, however: In decline. (Also NBA.)
  20. Yeah, baseball on TV is flat out AMAZING! Even the World Series ratings are on a long decline. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/ws/wstv.shtml Saying things like "you think [Colin Cowherd]'s spot on" when I said I never listened exposes the usual approach of a baseball fan. Defend, deny, and then make things up. You have a nice little game in baseball. It's fun in the playoffs. America is moving on from it. That's all we're talking about. It's not the end of the world and you'll be OK. You're sore about the Yankees losing all right. Seeing Andy Petite starting to show his age and fail hurts. You can admit it.
  21. Baseball playoffs are fun. And I watch soccer too. Doesn't mean that soccer, hockey, and baseball are not lesser sports. The "baseball is a thriving amazing pristine American past time" crowd has blinders on. Baseball is a slow and dying sport. Still has its fun moments.
  22. Incoming!
  23. Satan drinks babies blood.
  24. The Bills have so many needs that I hope they approach this draft with the list of their needs and see how they line up with the players available. If there's a top QB or DE in picks 1-3 but no OL worth that slot, I have no problem using our top 3 pick for that and saving the top of round 2 for a top OL. One nice thing about a top QB pick is that he won't likely play in 2011 (assuming there is a 2012 season), so the Bills should have a top 10 pick in the 2012 draft too. They can probably find a stud lineman or LB with that pick. I am all for an OT pick but based on the early draft reads, there's no top LT in this draft. As for the insult throwing, carry on.
