Dumb overly simplistic question of the day
Peace replied to RkFast's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Like sometimes there's perfectly good corn in my poop. "Largely ceremonial"...oh, and keeping North Korea from blasting into the south. -
Dumb overly simplistic question of the day

That answer in the link is funny. 30,000 "ceremonial" troops? That's a helluva ceremony! -
My care-ometer is registering a zero on this issue.

And yet the Rams let Warner go and he could barely find the field in NY. Even when he went to the hopeless Cardinals, it was just as an afterthought backup to Leinart. Warner didn't just get recognition and become a stud until just at the end of his career, when everyone looked at him and realized what he'd been doing.

What he said. Fitz is having one of the ten best seasons ever for a Bills QB and he didn't even enter the season as the starter. And his tackles and WRs are suspect. And he has no TE to speak of. The Bills won't pick in the draft until #5-6. Build around Fitz.

Entire essay: http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2010/12/19/a-holiday-message-from-ricky-gervais-why-im-an-atheist/ Who knew Gervais was so eloquent?

Sounds like he's human. That said, I would guess Bill really likes Kyle Williams now and early on including last year, he was one of Bill's regular whipping boys. Bill has said here that Bell is a pleasant surprise. He HATED Bell last year and this year has been noting his continuing progress, especially in the passing game. He'd probably agree that Bell would be an excellent guy to keep around as a backup and continue to develop. But really, can't we all agree that the running game suffers for failing to have tackles who can push? No one wants to cut Bell. He's earned a spot on the Bills. The question is whether the Bills can find someone better (or even better, Bell improves a lot in the off-season) and we should all hope the answer is yes.

Fitz's TDs are 9th all time currently. His completion % is right there around Kelly's career completion %. His QB rating is top 10 for guys who played more than 10 games in a season. His yards rushing for QB is only surpassed by Flutie in 1999. No rookie will do any of those things for years. Imagine how good Fitz would be with some tackles, a good TE, and a running game.

Tom and OC stroking each other's egos? This could need its own sub-forum.

Between LT, LB, and DE, I don't have a draft "order," I just want the best of those 3 available. If a crappy LB and stud LB is there, take the stud. The Bills have plenty of holes to fill.

This continues to surprise me. I realize you temper it with the compliments that follow but what the Fitz Bills are compared to the talent they lack and have had been for years is incredible. He makes the line (which let's face it is pretty bad) and WRs (also not stellar) quite good. And he makes the Bills offense "go." He should end the season with in the range of 3100-3300 yards passing. Give him 2 average games (for him) that he didn't start and that's a full season at about 3500-3700 yards. Only 1 Kelly season and Bledsoe's amazing 2002 Bills campaign rank higher in total yards. Even at 3200 or so, he'd be top 10 in Bills history. And he has no Thurman, Reed, Lofton, Hull, Wolford etc. He's working with Bell, Green, Roscoe Parrish... Fitz has been nothing short of flat out amazing. No rookie or journeyman QB can do what he's doing. BTW, here are the stats. With 2 games to go (and the 2 games he didn't play...and not really fair that in game 3 he barely got practice time), he's at #23 all time. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/single-season-passing.htm

Cost of the census doubled in ten years

Gene, I knew I'd agree with you eventually. -
Neither of those statements is true. I ship at least weekly to Korea, Japan, India, and China. Most of what I ship is 15-20 lb packages and gets there in 3-4 days. Less than $100 for a 25lb package.
-
I'm not second-guessing you in particular: Just noting the option. And last I checked, you can ship to Asia.

Isn't this kind of like starting a thread lauding Stevie Johnson after the Pittsburgh game? Tebow was bad last night.

Spending a highish draft pick on the best OT available would not make me upset one bit. How about one journeyman OT and one high pick? Although I'd also be AOK with a high pick spent on the best LB/DE on the board. I feel that starting QB is fixed. There is no need to pick a young QB unless the brain trust feels that the QB of the next decade is on the board. Fitz is one of the better QBs in the league, and he provers it behind a makeshift line and no running game and 7th round and undrafted WRs and no TE to speak of. No young QB could do what he's doing. None. Whitner is probably gone after this year. I feel a little bad for him--he's a solid player but he's always been disliked because the Bills picked him too high. That's not his fault. Still, the Bills will be fine without him. No comments on Spiller Bill? You must be too happy about the win. Again setting aside the fact that they Bills picked him and didn't need him, he is a guy with "flashes." A great punt return. A few bursting running plays. And also a lot of dancing in the backfield. The flashes make me hope that he can learn. At the same time, he doesn't get much to work with. Jackson is the better back and I will look to CJ's improvement next season. Moorman had a bad game but came through on that bomb of a punt when it mattered at the end. This team makes me hope that the 2011 season is not a lockout. I want to see the continued progression. They are on the right path.

The only clock I see shows time expired long before he gets to the end zone. And still he never sees 28 in the end zone behind him.
-
You're both wrong. The clock was at zero when he was at the 20 and he NEVER saw #28 behind him. Never. You score the TD. JAckson has 2 massive gaffes on his TD-scoring resume already. He was trying for 3.
-
Jackson tried to give it away again too showboating. He had no idea that Giant was coming behind him in the end zone. Wish he'd been bashed at the one yard line for doing that. Still a great comeback and I hate the Giants.

No doubt. Just commenting on that play. He's been great. -
For others travelling, it's really easy to ship your stuff ahead. Much more secure (and insurable) than checking bags. I've been doing this more and more when I travel.

The Contitutional conventions were held behind closed doors so debate could freely take place.

Oh, I thought you were from the US. Good to know they make dunderheads in other countries too.
