  1. That's the only reason I can think of as well giving lynch the bulk of carries by far in what is an overcrowded position. We will see when the trade deadline approaches and ends. Something needs to happen.
  2. Me neither. A love over rushing 64 yards and 79 in a single game this year. LOL Since Jackson has been featured, he has obviously outplayed him and the fact he runs the Wild-Cat and is damn good at it, I don't see anything special having Lynch on this team.
  3. Jackson just needs to be on the field. He is our most consistent and arguably best offensive player. His ability to run the wild-cat has been extremely successful. I would even add the option play with Spiller. Forget about Lynch, not needed.
  4. Every time I see portions of Saints games I see him making plays, just like his final season with the Bills. This kills me, because he should be playing in OUR secondary. What was his asking price? I can't see his price even being as much as Kelsay, yet the front office re-signed one of the most useless players to what I consider a pricey extension. One of the most bone headed decisions in recent Buffalo Bills history letting players like Greer go and letting dead weight stay around. What is he making? Greer makes plays. Sorry for the rant.
  5. Great thread. The only players I would keep on this roster after this year are (in no particular order) 1. Spiller 2. Jackson 3. Wood 4. Levitre 5. McKelvin 6. Williams 7. Byrd I can only think of 7. I do like Johnson and both Nelsons as well.
  6. Jackson is not only our most useful running back but our most useful offensive player as well when you factor in how excellent he runs the Wild-Cat. He should be getting 15-20 touches, period! With Spiller coming in to complement. Our running backs have no identity or rhythm. With 3 good backs, non are useful in they way they are being used in this scheme. What a shame. This does fall on the coaching staff. A move in the right direction would be to trade Lynch for a pick and ride the backs of Jackson and Spiller.
  7. What about dealing Evans and Lynch to a team like the Vikings or Greenbay for just a 1st round pick?
  8. OK, just a 2nd round and 4th round then.
  9. Of course we would love a 1st round pick but lets be realistic. I'd settle for a 2nd round and 4th round in 20ll plus another 2nd in 2012. We need to start stock piling draft picks. We are losing either way with Evans and really he is a non-factor on this team being a #1 WR. Getting some pics in return and for one of our current RB's plus the top 3 pick in the overall draft (looking like #1 at this point) would be a good start.
  10. I can't argue with you because I tend to agree. We would be dumping a huge salary in the process as well. Win-win.
  11. Seriously, it is such a waste. We have two work horse RB's in lynch and Jackson that can carry the load all by themselves, now getting in some cases less than 5 carries. 2 backs total, one to complement Spiller and run with it. Jackson is obviously the more balanced back since he can do everything Lynch can plus run the wildcat, but do we utilize this, no! I'd like to see Lynch traded, but some move has to be made here with this position to build for the future. WE DON'T NEED 3 STARTING RB'S WITH THE CURRENT STATE OF THIS TEAM!
  12. Just look at the second play of this game, with him in the backfield all alone with LT. This is our 24 million dollar man. What a joke! Kelsay is one of the worst players on a team with a plethora of really bad players.
  13. 1. Saftey 2. WR 3. NT 4. WR 5. CB 6. DE 7. LB Seriously this would be my list. 1. QB! (If not available) OL or LB 2. OL or LB 3.OL or LB 4. DE 5. NT 6. WR 7. RB
  14. When I heard this news on the Mitchell release, my first reaction was NOTHING. No reaction, no emotion. That is the impact he had with his tenure here. Don't really care if he would be still here, don't care that he is gone.
  15. Neither are what I consider "shutdown corners". Guys like Champ Bailey, Deon Sanders and Revis etc are such players. By definition "shutdown corners" are asked to play a lot of man to man coverage against the best WR on the opposing team and consistently on a week to week basis limit opposing WR's to very little catches and yards. In some cases with the elite CB's, opposing quarterbacks will tend to stay away from that CB the entire game. No quarterback is scared of our secondary which IMO gets overrated by many here.
  16. Indeed. The irony is the fail of this thread is almost as bad as the extension.
  17. Seriously. Is it April 1st over at One Bills Drive.
  18. So OBD just signed an extension to Kelsay. Seriously! What the heck, I don't get it. I thought they wanted to run a 34 defense and he does not fit the personnel. I would not even consider him a starter as a DE and certainly not a LB. WORST MOVE EVER! This does not give me any confidence in the new management.
  19. I don't see how you can clearly say Marshawn is the best back on this team and say he has been playing well. If what Marshawn has done these first 3 games are indications of a great running back then peoples standards are pretty low. I would take him for a 2nd and 3rd round pick in a heart beat.
  20. If there is one position in which you can pick up a productive player late(er) in the draft is RB. Like what was mentioned earlier, the Bills would be stupid to not listen to any offers. The only untouchables I would put a stamp on and build around is Spiller, Wood, McKelvin, Williams (Kyle) and Byrd.
  21. Its not as black and white as you might think. After last year, a rational look at the running back position would conclude he was not our best running back for a variety of reasons. I would conclude Marshawn is "similarly good" to Spiller and Jackson with Spiller having the highest talent ceiling and Jackson being the most consistent RB of the trio. The attributes Marshawn has that I don't see in the other running backs is that he is the hardest/toughest running back to tackle however his running style also comes with trade-offs. First off, Marshawn is not a patient runner who waits to attack the line of scrimmage. It is just attack the line, stutter to the left, right or backwards and use my strength to get a few a yards. Jackson on the other hand is patient, waits for the play to develop and attacks. Neither RB have a distinct advantage over one another when it comes to speed, our playing in the passing game out of the backfield. If we did not have a young stud in Spiller than I would look at Marshawns youth as more of advantage when analyzing this situation We don't need another young back to complement Spiller, we need the most consistent RB both on and off the field to complement Spiller. Jackson is solid. Marshawns youth as well as prowl bowl selections give better credentials as trade bait even though I would rate the talent level of Jackson and Lynch pretty much as equals, giving an advantage to Jackson considering the off the field shenanigans of Lynch. If you read the fan reaction and media in Green Bay, they are desperately crying out for a RB. Green Bay also realizes with their poor offensive line they can't rely solely on their passing game and Aaron Rodgers. He will get killed. Marshawn is the perfect fit and everyone realizes this. Dealing him to a team like Green Bay that is out of the conference is the perfect situation for the future of this football team. Hopefully we can get some picks, offensive lineman or linebacker and/or a combination of both. Nice posting with you 12 15 11 7 10 11 7 5 14. Cheers! and GO BILLS!
  22. As a young, rebuilding team, the Buffalo Bills do not need 3 potential #1 running backs. Like the saying "to many cooks in the kitchen". I think the brain trusts realizes this as well. Marshawn is the odd man out and since he didn't play much last year and was injured the Bills are showcasing him to teams basically promoting he still has the ability to be a #1 back. As weeks go by and teams like the Green Bay packers realize that defenses are noticing how one dimensional they are without a running attack, they will realize the value in picking up a player in the likes of Marshawn Lynch. 2nd and 3rd. 3rd and a player and I would be all over it. Everybody has to realize the Bills are building for the future. 3 RB's is a waste and offers no value to this team. I have confidence in Gailey et al it will be a done deal and he will traded within the upcoming week(s) before the deadline. Its the only move that makes sense. GO BILLS!
  23. You didn't miss much in the presser. Chan basically said the competition was close throughout training camp and now want to go into a new direction without Edwards. Another thing to note is Chan specifically said when asked they are interested in re-signing Levi Brown and have communicated with him but still want to take their time with the decision.
  24. Ignoring ESPN's mistake, I like this move.
