Wine Aerators do they work
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The wine industry is filled with a lot of crap, gimmicks and just plain old snake oil. All you need is a decanter. -

Official Shanahan Thread
BuffaloBillsForever replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mike Shanahan is looking a lot like that guy in Denver. An ego maniac making one bad decision after another. Shanahan won two suberbowls but both were off the coattails of Terrell Davis and John Elway. One thing not to overlook is Shanahan has a shaky record in drafting and in player personnel, most notably in his later years in Denver. I am happy with Nix and Gailey and stoked we saved money and our future on the 10 MILLION dollar man. The DeadSkins are the laughing stock of the league right now. -
We will find out how important Lee Evans is
BuffaloBillsForever replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have to see how these teams gameplan against first. I doubt Johnson sees significant double coverage in any of these last 3 games. I predict teams will be attacking fitz and being a bit more aggressive with the safeties. I guess we will start to see this week against Miami. -
Denver head coach candidates

Mularky's gimmicky offense + Tebow = The continued Denver trainwreck -
Nuff Said! I am liking his production.

Denver is one of the most passionate fan base in the NFL. They sort of remind me of the Buffalo fans. Strong move by the owner, but if you followed Denver at all this was coming sooner or later and sooner was the better option. Arguably one of the worst coaching tenures ever in the history of the NFL. It couldn't have happened to a bigger prick. I am happy for the Denver fans, they have wanted this to happen.

"tie goes to the offence"
BuffaloBillsForever replied to bowery4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you read the rules it doesn't specifically state of a "tie" but the logic behind the wording would go to the runner and that's the way umpires call it in the game. In all sports especially baseball there is subjectiveness in how the game is called. It is not a myth if umpires use this same logic when it comes to benefit of the doubt. -
This is what Sidney Rice does. He is a Plaxico Burress type receiver and a huge difference maker for the Vikings. I will try to find my post this week but mentioned that McKelvin wouldn't be able to handle him one on one even coming off injury. The single biggest injury to a NFL team this year. He changes their whole offense and IMO this season would have played out much different for the Vikings and they would be a playoff team.

"tie goes to the offence"
BuffaloBillsForever replied to bowery4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jerry, in yesterday's Cardinals-Seahawks game, a controversial play occurred when receiver Larry Fitzgerald and linebacker Julian Peterson each grabbed a pass at the same time. When Fitzgerald's knee hit the ground, both players appeared to have possession of the ball. Peterson wrestled the ball away from Fitzgerald about a second later and possession was awarded to the Seahawks. Does the rulebook say that in this situation, a tie goes to the receiver, or is this strictly an official's judgment as to who gets possession? --Dan Agnell, Sumerduck, Va. I'd like to quote the rule for you regarding "Simultaneous Catch." "If a pass is caught simultaneously by two eligible opposing players who both retain possession, the ball belongs to the passing team. It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and retains control, regardless of subsequent joined control of an opponent. If the ball is muffed after simultaneous touching by two such players, all the players of the passing team become eligible to catch the loose ball." http://www.chicagotr...t,0,67115.story The bold portion is what occurred today's game. -
The non-challange by Gailey?

You know what they say about people who make assumptions. The non-challange by Gailey?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is still bugging me. Was Gailey asked this question after the game? Has it been confirmed that he could not challenge this play or just decided not to challenge it? -

Have you read a copy of the rule book? -
The non-challange by Gailey?

Unless the whistle blew before the fumble which I don't think happened, then I so no reason why he could not challenge the play. Didn't it blow when McKelvin was returning the ball? -
The non-challange by Gailey?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The call on the touchdown was correct. Just like in baseball the "tie" goes to the offense. Its not the refs fault Gailey did not challenge that play on the fumble? I didn't see a good replay of it though. I am really curious if anyone got a good look at that play. -
There was a play in the first half were there might have been a fumble where McKelvin scooped it up and would have had a touchdown. While the play was call dead (it wouldn't have been a touchdown), the broadcast did a crappy job showing the reply. It seemed like an obvious challenge to me at a critical portion of the game.

Their shtick is getting old. Chuck Dickerson was also very negative and critical about the Bills but he was knowledgeable about the game itself and had the ability to properly break down the team and its players. Dickerson was at least credible. I am not saying this to be insulting but both have problems speaking coherently and stutter at times. Not something you would expect from radio hosts.

Quiz: Anyone remember Trent Edwards first interception of the pre-season in 2010? You get a bonus if you can find a video clip of the play.

Any videos of him running a curl route?

Three Vikings will be game time decision
BuffaloBillsForever replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I looks like Peterson will be playing. Not sure how we are going to contain him. Our initial tackling on contact is not very good in the run game. He is one of the hardest guys to bring down with his speed and strength. I expect him to have a monster game. -
My thoughts on Lee Evans is this. He is amongst the best WR in the game on the fly route so if a team is scared of him two players most notably a safetey will keep on eye on him. Other than that, Evans is an 2-3 on depth chart when it comes to overall route running. He is not very good on slant patterns and crosses and the biggest problem I have with him is how he runs the curl route. He NEVER runs to the ball if it is a little late but just waits for it. This is another area where he doesn't fight for the ball because if the CB gets there, he is to the house for a quick 6. There is value in having two players pay attention to him but his overall skill set is more adequate to a number 2. His salary is the problem and not necessarily his production.
