  1. I think this game will come down to how GB gameplans the offense. GB offense matches up against the Steelers secondary very well. It is in favor of GB. GB's best shot to win this game is to put Rodgers in shotgun 4-5 Wr's and exploit the secondary of the Steelers and it will be successful. If GB decides they must run the ball, they will lose. Have Rodgers throw the ball 50 times if he has to. James Starks blitz pickup in a 4 WR set gainst the steelers pass rush might be the most important matchup of this game.
  2. That sounds about right. My biggest concern with Spiller is the fumbles. 5 fumbles is a lot. He needs to improve on this the most.
  3. I'm no fan of Lovie Smith or Jay Cutler. In regards to Cutler his demeanor and public persona is the single biggest issue and which deserves criticism. This was the perfect chance for the media and players to pile on. As to the injury its hard to comment on.
  4. There are some new reports that are saying that it is a sprain which I think is the same as a minor tear in the MCL. I'll say this, I sprained my back playing football once and there is no way I could play football let alone walk properly.
  5. As MSG is a flavor enhancer much like salt it will help boost flavors. I have never used pure MSG before but I do like using Maggi in most soups.
  6. Not on how well Starks runs the football but much of the Packers success might be on how Starks does in pass protection, reading and picking up the Blitz. Offensively, the Packers match up the best out of any of the teams in playoffs against the Steelers with their high octane, shotgun, spread em out type mentality. This puts a lot a pressure on the RB in pass protection. Not only is Rodgers hot right now but they also IMO have one of the best WR sets in the league. This strategy is also the biggest weakness of the Steelers D. You might see Rogers throw 50 times in this game. What I think you will see a lot from the Packers is a lot of 4 Wr sets with Starks or Jackson in the backfield and Rogers airing it out. If Rodgers can make the reads and Starks/Jackson execute the blocks against the Steelers excellent pass rush, the Packers will have open receivers all game and will be very successful. Lets look back in a few weeks and see if they use this spread em out strategy and if it worked.
  7. The way to beat the Steelers is DO NOT RUN THE FOOTBALL. Spread offense 4-5 wr sets and let Rodgers and their excellent WR's do their magic. The packers match up well to their defense and I believe they will be able to move the ball and could possibly win with this strategy.
  8. I've been saying this for the last few weeks. The Jets offense does not match up well to the Steelers D. YOU DO NOT RUN THE BALL ON THE STEELERS DEFENSE! Not surprised by the outcome since the Jets rely heavily on running the football and when you can't run the ball and don't have a quarterback that you can put the game entirely on his shoulders, its all over. Bye bye Rexy, go suck a toe!

  10. Great move by Nix, Gailey et al to get this done. This is the type of addition we needed this offseason. We might just look back on this day as one of the turning points. Dave Wannstedt is a quality coach. I hope he takes on many roles such as a consultant to Gailey, quality control etc. I like the idea of him labelled as the LB coach. This is the biggest issue with our defense right now and his sort of specialty in this area is great! Welcome to the Buffalo!
  11. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=63935 Its sickening this guy gets the press he does, even Jets agree!
  12. It was deja vu all over again, like the presser to introduce Tom Cable. No. The press conference when he announced he fired Donahoe as GM. Many years ago.
  13. Al Davis and Mr. Wilson have a lot in common. 1) They go back to the AFL and the merger. 2) They are meddling owners which only hurts the team. 3) They are old. 4) Their franchises have been in disarray for a number of years. The only thing they don't have in common is Al Davis likes to throw his ex-employees under the bus at press conferences. You never see Mr. Wilson do that, ERRR except for Tom Donahoe.
  14. Post them for sale at a highly trafficked audio forum in the classified section and stipulate for the sale that it is for pickup only. AVS forum, Audioholics and Home Theater Shack all have busy classified areas. Make sure to contribute to the forum by offering help or advice before posting stuff for sale.
  15. They did need somebody to stretch the sidelines. The Jets really crowded that drag route Welker loves to run.
  16. The Jets do not match up well offensively to the Steelers. Everything and I mean everything revolves around the power running game and play action. The Steelers are not a defense you run against. The Jets will have problems running the ball and the rest will fall apart offensively. You need to spread out the Steelers defense and I don't think Sanchez has the accuracy and the ability to make those reads. The Steelers defense is playing as well as the Jets defense. I like Big Ben and Steelers in this one.
  17. Not in the first round (I would like to go defense with that pick) but if the there is still a top 2 college TE going into the 2nd round I would consider going after him. Watching the majority of teams in playoffs shows how important a TE is on offense and creating mismatches. We have been lacking one for almost a decade - maybe even more.
  18. What I did notice is how similar McGahee and Lynch "dance" at the line of scrimmage.
  19. Chicago is the best defense you never see play. And of course they have Hester who can break one at any time on special teams.
  20. New England's playoff luster seems to be lacking since they got caught cheating during their superbowl runs? Coincidence? (Stirring the pot)
  21. Tom Brady looked pale, tired and congested like he was sick within the last 24 hrs or so. Atleast that is what it looked like to me. Of course if this was the case, they would never admit it before the game. According to the new rules that is a 15 yard penalty 100% of the time. Of course, the officiating was poor in this game.
  22. Tom Brady looked like he was playing with the flu or something.
  23. Jets are proving that you can win with an elite defense and average offense that coddles the quarterback position like a baby. That's about it.
  24. So what is Donte "holding together" in the secondary anyways. When he has been injured, his absence has gone unnoticed. Their secondary is not very good and vastly overrated part of this football team.
