Why is this of any surprise?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Poz leaving is not a surprise to me and many. Cutting ties with any of the players of the Dick era really. -
I don't understand all the panic about the bills not making any big splashes in FA. For the people that expected them to have a lot of activity what did you really and more important realistically expect them to do?

Far from being new but I can't get enough of the band Minus The Bear.

Can't think of two polar opposite owners as much as these two. However, the Donahoe presser was a hoot! :w00t: -

My first experience with a tick was one attached in my groin area. There are a few things to keep in mind. Do not use tweezers or try to burn the tick off. Pull it out with your hands and disinfect the area of the bite with rubbing alchohol. A tick bite especially one that has expanded has been on probably for more than 24hrs. If the tick is attached even for a short period it will leave a mark on the skin and can last a while - this is normal. However what is not normal if a bullseye type rash appears around the bite. Just keep an eye on the area for any type of infection or strange rashes. A bullseye type rash is a sign of lyme disease and you would have to go to emergency. Lyme disease can be treated effectively if caught in the early stages Another thing to remember is examine the tick that bites you. There are different types of ticks. Dog ticks for instance do not carry lyme. Deer ticks however are the ones that can be infected with lyme disease (use google to search for images on ticks). I woke up last week and felt something on my arm. Turned on the light and it was a dog tick. To properly dispose of ticks I pick it up with a piece of tissue paper and flush them down the toilet.

did Jose Bautista discover fountain of youth?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Pete's topic in Off the Wall Archives
As a Toronto Blue Jays fan and as someone who has watched him over the last few years, his success came after Dwayne Murphy their hitting coach made adjustments to his swing. Short term success was hitting home runs like last year but wasn't hitting for average just power. Long term success has brought Bautista confidence and patience at the plate. The way he lays off pitches in a 0-2 count is something just amazing. What he is doing now did not happen overnight but was rather a long progression over the last few years. Bautista was tested for roids multiple times last year. Same testing will happen this year. Let's just face it, he is that good - best hitter in baseball. No conspiracy theory here. -
What's the best Pizza place in the city?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Bill Cowher's topic in Off the Wall Archives
You Polish Buffalonians might love this. Its really good! Pierogi Pizza Flat Crust Pizza Dough - Homemade or store purchased Sour cream or Creme fraiche 1 sliced white onion Bacon cut into cubes 1 Potato small dice Mix of shredded mozzarella and gruyere cheese Slice one white onion, throw a little butter in the pan and cook the onions until golden brown. This might take a while. What you want is GOLDEN BROWN! Set aside. Cook the cut bacon in a pan halfway. Partially crispy and until most of the fat has rendered away. Set aside. Get a pot full of salted water, bring to boil. Blanch diced potato in water until tender (fully cooked) and then place in a ice bath. Drain and pad dry potatoes once cooled. You can crisp the potatoes in the pan that has bacon fat if you want. Assembly: Spread sour cream or cream fraiche over the pizza dough. Spread the caramelized onions on top of that. Spread evenly the bacon and diced potatoes. Spread the cheese mixture over everthing evenly to taste. Place in oven (follow the instructions for your homemade or store purchased dough). The dough should be crisp and the top of the pizza should be a bit golden brown. Enjoy! -
What's the best Pizza place in the city?

Saying WNY pizza is not pizza is an elitist take. Pizza is simply a flat bread, cheese tomatoes and other toppings. How flat the bread is not important - only to ones tastes. Its still pizza! -
5) Donte Whitner - Serviceable player over the years but I would still consider a bust picked at #8. We had other needs that year. Picking a safety that high in the draft in general is not a good idea. 4) John McCargo - We traded up in the 1st round to get this guy. A total bust. He even has a hard time finding playing time on a young, losing team. 3) J.P. Losman - Just because of the importance of this position and the lack of success. We regressed with him in the huddle. 2) Mike Williams - Top 5 pick that was a total bust and our o-line has not been able to recover until the last few seasons (we still have a long way to go) 1) Aaron Maybin - Enough said! Honourable mention - James Hardy, Marshawn Lynch

Not sure my opinion matters as this is a Canadian perspective looking upon the Buffalo food scene, but just thinking about a cheese and pepperoni pizza from Bocce is making me salivate. We can't get pizza like that just north of the border. Love it! As for the wings, to get the most crispy and juicy wings is to not deep fry them but to steam or boil them for 10 minutes. Take them out, pad them TOTALLY dry with paper towels. Then put them in the oven at 450 degrees for 40-50 minutes, turning them over half way through. -
Any interest in trading for Flynn or Clausen?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Maddog69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No to Flynn, Clausen and I know your thinking this Maddog, no to Kevin Kolb. -

Kevin Kolb....What do you think?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kevin Kolb hasn't done anything in this league to warrant spending a 1st or even high second round pick on him. It would be equivalent to the Rob Johnson deal. Acquiring Kevin Kolb for anything other than where he was initially drafted is overpaying and overvaluing his stock. The GM would be D&D - dumb and desperate especially for a 1st round pick...lol. -
Best receiver in the game before he shot himself in the leg. BBF

Imported kobe beef, foie gras and fresh lobsters. Sahlen's hot dogs and french fries for the kids. -
Starks or Spiller
BuffaloBillsForever replied to The Cincinnati Kid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dumb question. Neither have done anything in their NFL career so far to warrant a comparison. Very little body of work which makes this question impossible to answer. -
Steelers or Packers ... who ya' got?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Troy Pol vs Starks is a mismatch especially if the blitz is disguised well. Starks or the other guy will need to do a good job against the LB's. You would hope Rodgers could read it and audible to a hot route (quick slant). GB runs the best 3 step drop quick slant in the game. Pittsburgh is going to need Pol in the secondary most of this game.
