I would take OSI in a heartbeat if the price was right. That being not giving up a first round pick. There is no one on the Bills roster that can attack the QB quite like him. For sure an improvement over our other ends. The quote about our ends being geared towards the run and better than OSI in that regard is a joke.

This week is a nightmare. There are so many mismatches. We do not match up well with them AT ALL! My first thought is DeSean Jackson 1 on 1 with McKelvin. Jackson is a beast on the long ball. Every week we are exposed to this and now this week against the vaunted eagles passing game. Big Problem. Another problem is Gailey's much to happy pass attack. Eagles are stacked in the secondary. They will take advantage of Fit'z mistakes. Not to mention this is the first time facing a mobile quarterback. Does Edwards have it in him to implement a good scheme? This week might be the Cardinals game of a few years back?

This is the second week in a row where we have struggled running the football in short yardage situations. 2nd and 2, 3rd and 1 you GIVE THE ^&&&&&^%%$$$ ball to Brad Smith. You have to take advantage of those situations. Geez he's only 100% in getting a first down in those situations. His high success rate with the Jets in those situations was the same. I can only point to bad in game coaching decisions in this case. Oh yeah there is that other waterbug (Spiller) that is rendered useless going into week 5.

1) Fitz was very inaccurate today. He just wasn't off a little, surprised he didn't throw any pics. Mostly why we struggled on offense today. 2) Defense - McKelvin is a problem. One on one coverage team after team exposing him. George Edwards scheme is giving up a ton of yards in the passing game. Our safeties are struggling to defend big tight ends. Another week were we can't stop the screen pass against the RB. This is a HUGE problem. 3) Refs - One of the worst officiated games I have ever watched. I don't need to rehash why. Certainly shifted the momentum of the game in their favor. Still our defense imploded. Our biggest undoing. 4) Not utilizing Brad Smith in short yardage situations - there were a lot of 2nd or 3 and less than 2 situations. We struggled especially on 2 and short running the football. Not to use Brad Smith a single time in this situations is just bad coaching - sorry Gailey. Yes the refs were awful but the Bills played poorly today.

Brad Smith Trick Play of The Week
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Keuka's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Big run out of the wildcat. -
He does a portion of the post-game after Bulldog and Schoop on WGR55. He's only on for a short time - I think it is an hour or so. Anyhow, I find him a pleasure to listen to. He has become my favorite radio host that talks about the bills. He is easy on the ears and more importantly he knows football and loves the city of Buffalo. Coach Sal needs more airtime and perhaps a show of his own. Sign below if you agree. Perhaps the people at WGR will see this. BuffaloBillsForever

Jets season on the brink
BuffaloBillsForever replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jets biggest loss by far in the off season is Brad Smith. He was so valuable on their special teams and came in and made huge plays to make up for their inept offense. He literally won them a few games last year. Yes and with the help of the defense too. -
I disagree with the OP. Brad Smith is VERY valuable to this team and will continue to be so. Brad Smith in the wildcat is our best shot at getting first downs in short yardage situations. It is so valuable to have a guy that can move the chains like that.

Marvin Lewis would be my choice for the worst head coach in the league. His poor time management, strategy and undisciplined teams are a part of the reason why the Bengals are the Bungles. I'm not worried about what he has to say. To equate how bad I think he is as a head football coach, I would take Dick Jauron over him.

I hate myself for starting this thread....

It was the scheme. They were only sending 3 and 4 pass rushers. On third and 8+ they were only sending 3. -
This is a fantasy ending to the "streak". You can't conjure up a dream better than this! At the end Belichick couldn't do anything about it!!!! GO BILLS!

Evans Out for B'more
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So Lee will be going into week 4 with 2 catches. Now if he plays in week 5 watch him put up 150yards with a couple long TD catches...then fizzle out with no production the next few games... That's our Lee! -
It would be certainly deserving.

Brad Smith getting more reps at WR
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would have rather heard him getting reps in practice as the new punt returner. -
Bills fans don't realize how deadly Brad Smith is in the return game. It's too bad about the new kickoff rule. It severely handicaps his ability on kickoffs. To be honest, I would rather have seen Smith over Roscoe as the punt returner at the start of the year . Roscoe always made me nervous with his ball handling anyways. IMO Brad Smith is the choice to go from here and IMO I think would be an improvement over Parrish.

Stevie Johnson on WGR
BuffaloBillsForever replied to DaveinElma's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chalk another one up to the "Lee Evans Myth". I caught that on WGR on the drive home. To bad his phone cut off twice during that segment. -
Yes, yes he certainly did!
-
Jankowski kicked the ball 7-9 yards in the endzone every kickoff. There wasn't one returnable. Janakowski actually has not had one kickoff returned all year. Crazy stat. As for Smith being tentative, it's actually him being a patient runner. He reminds of Jackson but with break away speed. He has been given limited opportunity, mostly being put in on 2 or 3 and short and he has achieved a first down 100% of the time in those situations.

I know it sounds crazy to take the ball out of Fitz's hand because he has been a baller, but I think it would be a good offensive strategy to triple the amount of the wild-cat plays with some unusual formations in the back field with Jackson, Spiller and Brad Smith. Adding a option play for this game with Smith and Spiller I think could prove to be successful. The possibilities are endless though to try to confuse their defense. Running a lot of wild-cat, if successful will kill a lot clock in hopes to minimize the Pats offense.
