  1. It was a difficult game for Josh as the pass plays called were for a lot of deep routes, notice that Brown only had 2 targets. The Colts played a very, very deep zone and kept everything in front of them. Brown, just couldn't get past them. They were daring the Bills to run OR throw the check down. Which, I thought Daboll would have adjusted to that and gone to the check down, but he didn't. He decided to go with the QB runs, hoping to shrink and soften the zone. I suppose the reason he did that is because the Bills run game just wasn't effective. I would have preferred they went to the short passing game. Screens, quick throws and dump offs. Death my a thousand paper cuts. We know Allen can do that.
  2. Yea I remember that one. Josh also checked out of a QB sneak when he saw the Colts defense adjust gaps.
  3. I thought the adjustment at half would have been to go to dink and dunk. The safeties were playing so deep and daring us to run. And we know we can’t run, so take the short stuff. Death by a thousand paper cuts. They kept running deep routes, which cause some of the late sacks.
  4. They played zone. That’s it, that’s what it was. They dared the Bills to run, with how high the safeties played. The Bills should have switched to the dink and dunk. I’m not sure why that wasn’t the adjustment.
  5. Yea I agree with that. It was a very competent QB on the other side of the ball. Still, something questionable about how the defense played. I guess the take away is, when asked to “win” the game, the Bills defense did it.
  6. Todays game plan certainly didn’t seem to be.
  7. If I had to guess, I think it was 100% this. They didn’t want the game to end on a replay call.
  8. I was pacing back and forth and celebrating that it was definitely a fumble. I still can’t believe it wasn’t called that.
  9. To counter that argument you are going to a division where essentially you'll be playing for the wildcard every year. It's the Chargers, their fan base in LA is awful and their owners are notorious for being difficult to work with. Hell, they fired Marty Schottenheimer after going 14-2! And while Herbert had one of the best QB rookie seasons ever, it's still only 1 season. No idea what will happen next season with more film on him. After Bakers rookie season lots of people were foaming at the mouth with what they saw in Cleveland with young talent on defense/offense and the QB. Two years later and two coaches later, Baker isn't that same QB he was his rookie season and that defense leaves a lot to be desired. With Watson you know what you have, he's been doing it for multiple seasons. So I can see the counter point and what Yolo is saying. The draft picks will come back to Houston and you have a proven franchise QB locked up in a wide open division.
  10. I'd say as far as where I thought this team would be preseason, I would consider this season a success. In a challenging situation and season, this Bills team went out there and won the division, convincingly. Josh Allen has developed into the QB we all wanted him to be. Saying all that, in season obviously my expectations shifted and I think they should at least win a playoff game for this season to be a success. This team has so much talent that the bar has shifted.
  11. McDermott/Beane playing 4D chess... Unlimited call ups for the post season from the practice squad. A nice way to stash players and call them up when/if you need them based on gameplans.
  12. This one is really interesting. If they go with one of the hot OCs it’ll feel like one of the more recent fads of pairing a good OC as Head Coach with a young QB. I just don’t think this works as much as people want to think it does. A head coach just doesn’t have time to mentor one player unless he picks good assistant coaches. But then it seems like when things start to falter a bit the HC takes over. I guess we will see.
  13. He was close contact when Norman tested positive. Gave him a ride home.
  14. Ravens have had the easiest run in of any of the playoff teams in the AFC and probably NFL. For me, I don’t get the being scared to play a team? It must be BBFS. Let’s say the Bills get what is considered favourable matchup, and they win. They’ll end up playing a better team in division round, so it’s not like they can avoid these teams. And that’s putting aside that when teams are in the playoffs, all bets are off anyways. So, what may be favourable based on the regular season, could completely change in the playoffs.
  15. Andy Major, Bills VP of Operations, just said in press conference 13,000 fans opted in.
  16. It’s in the Bills press release... “As a result of certain NFL Rules and other commitments, approximately 6,200 tickets will be available for purchase on Dec. 31“ So thats 572 tickets that won’t be sold but given to players families, the rest is getting sold.
  17. Looks like it’s closer to 6200 “As a result of certain NFL Rules and other commitments, approximately 6,200 tickets will be available for purchase on Dec. 31“
  18. I think Bills families get around 400 tickets, so I believe the number is closer to 6300
  19. But the ball never touched the ground. So how is that any different than a pitch or a handoff... intent? And they allow that kind of fumbled exchanges to happen on last plays of games.
  20. Who remembers all the talk about point differential at the beginning of the season?!?
  21. We win this weekend and clinch he AFC East, then next week we beat the Pats** and officially eliminate them from the playoffs.
