  1. I started in Pop Warner but was a bit late to the game as there were kids that had been playing together for a couple years already. I kept at it all the way through High School but my Senior year I just didn't want to do it anymore. Couldn't stand the politics and the favoritism that happened. Unless you kissed the Varsity coaches @$$ you couldn't get any sort of playing time. Didn't matter if you were a better athlete if one of the coaches sons or nephews or cousin was on the team. And initially he didn't like players that came up through Pop Warner, cause it wasn't "his system" and would go to the kids that played Modified instead. Which soon backfired because most of the talent was coming up through Pop Warner. They had more funding and better equipment in comparison to the Modified public school programs. Funny enough more than 30 years later, he is still coaching at the same High School despite only ever winning a division title back in the early 90s. Furtherest they ever got was regionals and he's had 1 player go to a D-1 school. Still worshipped as a god tho.
  2. I wouldn’t be massively upset if Harris was the pick at 30. As you say though, I’d rather they take a higher value position, even if it was more risk. That 5th year option is huge on those high value positions once Josh gets paid.
  3. Brees, Manning and Farve have beaten all 32 teams. Tarkenton and Montana beat all the teams that existed during their careers.
  4. Big difference? I wouldn't say it was THE big difference in the game. In the first 2 series TB didn't really do anything on the ground and the Chiefs inability to score meant they could stay with the running game. Seems to me the big difference in the games was the Bucs defense.
  5. Stop the press Doc and WEO are in agreement.
  6. Agree with a lot of this. To the bold, I almost think that' one task. If they Bills improve the interior OL the running game will be more efficient/effective. I don't want the Bills running more because I'd prefer the ball stayed in Joshs hand but if they ran more effectively when they did, it would help. Only thing I would add beyond the pass rush is I think they need another weapon in the pass game for Josh. And I'm thinking it needs to be TE.
  7. Here's a question, does running the ball more "balanced" beat the Chiefs? Or does getting Josh another weapon in the passing game do that? No doubt the Bills need to run the ball more effectively when they do run. Is that up front with the OL? Or is it the scheme?
  8. This is exactly it. Teams and fans need to stop thinking this Chiefs offense can be stopped. The fact is you can't and no one has, so stop expecting your defense to do it.
  9. This article says it all https://www.si.com/nfl/2021/01/25/buffalo-bills-not-aggressive-in-loss-to-kansas-city-chiefs

  11. I'm not sure it's that. He was perfectly ok with going for it on 4th down at midfield, so he trusted the offense in those situations. They new they had to keep the KC offense on the sidelines. And it wasn't necessarily not going for it it was also the play calling in the redzone. It just screamed of settling for FGs.
  12. I don't think it's nitpicking, it's a fact. Even just from a perspective of overall talent on the team, there just isn't a lot of home grown guys on the Bills current roster. Which is worrying. When's the last time the Bills drafted a difference making pass rusher?
  13. Yea, the graphic about home grown talent was posted a couple times but the Bills just do not have enough elite home grown talent. It's Allen/White and that's it.
  14. Having slept on it a bit, I think it's really 2 things. It was settling for FGs and hoping your defense would stop KCs offense and then the absolutely awful play calling in the red zone.
  15. I'm not sure this is the place to say it but I thought the Bills, with their season on the line crawled into a hole. This felt like Jacksonville. This was not the Bills who played all season.
  16. Was one of the worst games I've seen Mongo play... he was awful tonight and that's being kind.
  17. Yea, I agree. Lets the players who got you there win it! It felt like such a soft game plan and we played down to the Chiefs.
  18. That's exactly it. There was some really bad game from some players we hope can carry use. Feliciano had an absolutely awful game. I'm worried about his Oline after this game. The game plan in general just has me upset. We didn't even go down swinging!
  19. No argument there. But they had Stills as an option. They had Freeman as an option. And in the end, they settled for FGs over TDs with the game and their season on the line.
  20. Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy about what the Bills did this season. Saying that... it just felt like a really bad game plan.
  21. I feel like this is the place to say it cause I'm not sure where else to say it. I'm supposed to be happy about the season. And while I am, I'm also disappointed. This is not the game I wanted my Buffalo Bills to go out on. I thought the gameplan as a whole was not who they were all season. This was not the high powered offense I watched all season. They settled for FGs instead of TDs in an AFC Championship game. Yea I'm happy where this franchise is going but idk, I feel like this season it could have been more.
  22. I felt like today, of all days, was not the day to go for FGs against the Chiefs. I found the entire offensive game plan a bit odd but would love to get others thoughts.
  23. I hope so, and I hope they bring it to next season.
  24. An amazing season! That doesn't mean we can't feel let down by the game today. The coaches let us down today but we faced a better team this evening. Well done to the team and the players for al the accomplished. We on to next season.
  25. I know Sammy is much disliked around these parts but I think Sammy maybe gets you a couple big plays in this game if healthy. Bell, maybe not. A couple big plays could be the difference considering the Bills have won all their games this season that they had more or equal amounts of big plays as their opponent.
