  1. Most athletes aren't, unfortunately. Product of entitlement at a very young age. If you're told you're special enough, you'll begin to act like rules don't apply to you.
  2. I love Charles, am indifferent on Carter and dislike Smith. Good on Gordon saying those three shouldn't be the one's offering advice. He's guilty of some bad decision making, that's for sure. But at 23, coming from where he came from, not many people aren't. Hope he gets it right. Superstar talent.
  3. Hey now. I'm in the midst of my annual "watch every movie nominated for Best Picture" binge.
  4. How so? I was kinda hoping for him to strike out on his own and succeed away from Marrone. Either way, I'm rooting for the guy.
  5. If he wins this weekend, he'll probably be a HOFer if he strings together another 2-3 good seasons. Not out of the question at all.
  6. 1) Cute, but that's never happened. Be cool if it did... 2) You're a second class tenant in your own stadium. Something to be proud of... 3) I doubt it. Do you really think the significant other says "geez honey, I don't know about Buffalo. You don't know if they'll play in the city or in Orchard Park." Just because the Jets suck doesn't mean you have to get your panties in a bunch.
  7. Why is Gus Bradley doing this??? He's bringing in his ready made replacements when/if Khan gives him the ax.
  8. Dude, Ralph had a huge art collection with Monets in it. That alone would be 99.99999% of society's golden egg. Then factor in the huge operating profit he pocketed every year. Then factoring in his previous business holdings. These combined aren't pennies like you've suggested. Then factor in his biggest asset. His Taurus.
  9. I think the point about "having an owner w/ deep pockets" was more about having the means to go out and get top level asst. coaches. Guys that want a bit more money than the average OC/DC etc. And given the staff assembled, I don't think there's any room to argue w/ this point. Proof's in the pudding, but right now, Rex has done a damn fine job IMO. And to the OP's point, it doesn't hurt to have Terry when you want guys like Roman and Kromer.
  10. Because he makes the 32 +/- people he works for very, very rich.
  11. If there's one time to not act swiftly, it's this. He can't come out and say there will be punishment and then recant this two days later when new evidence is found. Can you imagine the uproar? It's pretty apparent something went down. They need to take their time and find out what it is and how to address it. I doubt this will happen before the big game. I also wouldn't be surprised when Goodell is ready to speak, he doesn't canvas some of the other influential owners for the necessary support if he takes harsh action against the Pats i.e. Bob Kraft.
  12. Duh. One gives you better draft position, the other doesn't...
  13. That is the most fu$&ed up way to handle the situation. Therefore, it's probably a safe bet.
  14. Usually the NFL is protected. Especially on NFL Live. Props to Brunell and Bettis though.
  15. I've stood corrected. Looks worse than I remember. Still want him on our team.
  16. That's fine with me. Jim swung his arms at a CBs knees and is a hero. Brady slides at a defenders nuts and is a dbag? Got it. Trust me, I know I'm in the minority on this, but the dude is a flat out competitor. I don't like the crying either, but the fact is most great QBs let into their guys all the time. I've seen Peyton scream at his guys, roll is eyes at his guys and ignore just as much as Brady. Doesn't mean I wouldn't want either one on this team. Well, maybe a little bit of a kicking motion... (I thought the NFL destroyed those tapes)
  17. There's no kicking motion. And he's not waiting til the last second like a base runner breaking up a double play. And to my knowledge, there's never been a player hurt from a sliding QB. Like I said before, we don't know what's being said on the field. I want my QB playing on "the line," just like every other defender out there is gonna lay him out when given the chance. And seriously, the fact he's trolling every defender out there is great. Guys lose their sh$% over Brady and he keeps rolling on.
