  1. That's a great point, and one of the reason's why I don't think Wood is the problem. Did he play poorly at time last season? By his own admission, yes. But the evolution of the tackle position is putting out some freaking crazy athletes at a spot that used to be a "fat guy" position.
  2. Where does this come from? It's pure speculation, correct? Wood himself said he played at his heaviest/strongest this past off-season. He also admitted he sucked at times in addition to inferring there was mixed signals coming from the coaching staff. I expect a rebound year not only from him, but Cordy (who also kinda sucked this past year, too). So...like any other game last season. Right?
  3. The guy wanted to get paid, so he didn't rush back from injury to jeopardize his future. Call me new school, but I don't blame him one bit. What I do question his is judgement in choosing Jville. These players know that Dougie might be their coach in a year, right? Props to Gus Bradley, guy can recruit.
  4. It's also good business in case it's difficult to re-sign Cordy. Good leverage for the Bills. Not ideal, but still helps.
  5. Ahhhhh, the Marrone angle. I'd put JVille at the top.
  6. I feel sorry for the man if those are his three most serious suitors.
  7. I could see the Bills getting Akeem Ayers for a moderate contract. Throw in a lot of performance bonuses and watch Rex replace 6 of Jerry's sacks.
  8. Yeah, and I still think he's going to be a camp cut after we sign another FA QB.
  9. Dear Jerry, Good luck in FA. Be careful what you wish for. The opportunity to line up next to 3 pro-bowlers is truly unique. Double-teams every single play suck. You will feel increased pressure to produce. If you don't, the fans and media will turn on you quick. You will become the centerpiece of the defense you go to. Here, you get to play in the shadows. And you really seem to like to play with the guys on that line. I'm bummed. But I won't fault a guy for trying to get paid. I just think you'd be more likely to see out your entire contract in Buffalo than elsewhere. P.S. If you're leaving because Doug forgot to put you back in. Fair enough.
  10. 1) Gas up private jet. 2) Fly McCoy and significant other to FL 3) Terry tells McCoy tales of his Pittsburgh life 4) Bond is formed 5) Terry leads McCoy into another room where Rex and Doug are sitting 6) Doug waxes philosophical, Rex does his "thing' 7) McCoy admits he likes what he is hearing 8) Doug takes McCoy into adjacent room where JO sits 9) McCoy gets some more guaranteed $ 10) He leads league in rushing. 11) During season we hear the "at first I hated the idea of coming to Buffalo, but now I love it."
  11. Would you rather have Hughes at $12 mil and a $5 mil CB or Revis at $12 mil and a $5 mil DE? Purely hypothetical.
  12. Not a fan of the helmets either, but there's something about those face-masks though.
  13. I'm not huge fans, but if you had to listen to some of the morons that call in after losses I don't know if I could take it. Now the most logical response to this is, "well it's their job." True, but there's a breaking point for humans to have to listen to shear stupidity. I think these guys are exposed to it far greater than the normal fan. This is not an excuse, just my opinion. Personally, I think Matthew Coller has a long-term future at the station. He's tuned in pretty good to the NHL and what not. I don't mind the morning guys. I don't understand the love for Sal. I get it, he works long hours...The best the station had was Andrew Filiponi who took off for greener pastures in Pittsburgh. Don't know what kind of offer they could have made him to stay, but it was pretty evident he was more talented than the two guys he was producing for (Schoop & Bulldog).
  14. I can't decide whether I love those blue face-masks or hate them. I wouldn't mind seeing them for a game or two to help me decide.
