  1. Rob Stone calling the game?? Weird. He's the head of Fox's soccer coverage.
  2. "Jimmy G" !?! The announcer is pretty brutal with that crap.
  3. Nah. Only seven people have won the career Grand Slam. The French is by far the most difficult to win given the amount of clay court specialists on tour. The fact that guys like Federer and Agassi closed out their slams on clay just proves how amazing and tough the feat is. Nadal or no Nadal, super hard to win.
  4. You are correct. A hotel room and a laptop would be your best bet.
  5. I remember when Jeter launched the Players Tribune. A lot of people thought it wasn't a smart concept and it would be a "bust." I've read quite a few stories on it that are fantastic. Pretty cool site.
  6. Holy crap. Some made this seem like a 4th grader wrote it. Not a bad effort.
  7. Out of those 15 nfl coaches and personnel people, how many have a McCown, Hoyer, Sanchez, Manuel, Fitzpatrick, Insert journeyman's name here quarterback line-up under center? If this is the case, I suppose those rankings are objective, but nonetheless biased and relative to one's current QB situation. I actually watched Carr play a half dozen times last year. He had 2-3 "good" games with one of these unfortunately coming against the Bills. His 49ers game against a dysfunctional team was very good. He couldn't miss. But he had 3 games out of his final 9 with a passer rating above a 75. Hardly finishing strong. He also had a boatload of 1 TD 170 YD games. I know we're QB starved here, but his play didn't get me excited. If he excels this year, I'll gladly eat crow.
  8. Shhhhhhh. The type of acquisition be damned, if it ain't a draft pick, the GM ain't doing his job!!!
  9. Whaley's built a championship-level roster outside of the QB position. The QB position is the most difficult to play in all of professional sports. As a result of this, it's easily the most difficult position to find within the sport. Late round flyers are swell, but given their minuscule rate of success, and the huge number of holes Whaley was tasked with filling, I can't fault the guy.
  10. Carr sucks and frankly, Bridgewater leaves a lot to be desired. EJ showed similar flashes his rookie year. If these guys continue their progression off merely adequate rookie seasons, you'll have poor-man Tannehills. I understand your position, but there's no clear cut alternative, thus we remain in "QB Purgatory."
  11. Ha, and if IIRC, it took a while before many on here came to grips he wasn't a bust!! On an unrelated note, our picks in rounds 1-3 were Dareus, A.Willaims and K.Sheppard. Figuring that Sheppard was flipped for Hughes straight up. Holy crap!! Not a bad day at the office.
  12. At least the writer acknowledged the Bills rating is bunk.
  13. I plan on reaching for the Bills Defense when other skilled players are still available. I like the reaction of my friends. I'm positive they love having me the league. #championship
  14. Yeah, and Leodis best year was in Pettine's scheme, too. This is a big blow given the injuries that inevitably hamper secondaries throughout the year. I always got pissed when we "wasted" picks on CBs. The reality is, you can't have enough solid CBs in today's NFL.
  15. Separating RG3 from Snyder is the first step in his career rehabilitation. The owner empowered a rookie from day 1. Stupid.
  16. Fred always falls forward. Most underrated/under-appreciated trait in a running back.
  17. I laughed when Rodak said it would take a "phone call to Iowa and a bag of cash" to lure Orton back to the team. After I finished laughing, I started wondering how much cash it might take...
  18. No way he's a 1-2 year rental from a purely financial standpoint. Makes no sense. I think there's some truth to him having something to prove, but who doesn't? I think a lot of people have ran with the storyline that his production is in decline because he doesn't churn out 1700 yd seasons year after year.
  19. Ahhhhhh, nothing like a little name calling to get your point across that you think he's a subpar RB.
  20. Kind of sad. He sounds like a 13 year old in the article on ESPN. He also bought a Bentley on his rookie contract...
