    I'm putting the tin-foil hat on here and saying this is all mind-games by Rex/Whaley. A bit extreme IMO, but maybe that's why they brought in Cundiff. I doubt Carpenter views him as a real threat. Then again, not that it matters if we cut him...

    Didn't say that at all. His stories are very good, probably the one thing both sides of this debate can agree on. His non-stop banter with followers, followed by posting links to articles helps bring in readers.

    He does at times, that's for sure. But he also brings eyeballs to the BNs website. And with declining circulation/readership, his bosses are more likely to give him a raise than fire him.

    How did JW get played? You mean to tell me that these decisions aren't malleable? It's quite clear Cassel was in the mix until the very end. When Tyrod won the job, Cassel had a huge target on his back given his salary and the relatively minimal gap between all three QBs. You're assertions that he's shilling for the front office are ludicrous and misguided.

    The Whaley/TG tweet is another matter. I'm reacting to the Coller/TG spat. His reporting got called out based on the use of a word, I'm just saying it would've been prudent for WGR to invite him on for clarification.

    WGR could man up and invite him on the show to discuss his reporting. That's what he wanted. They refuse, probably because it would've squashed the narrative they were trying to push.

    I prefer the News coverage to anything. Except for Sully. I like Graham, Vic, Dunne. Really not a fan of Sal C. or Joe B. Don't hate Rodak like everyone else. Like Fairburn. National guys who seem to know our team: Ross Tucker, Kevin Connors, Polian, and Breer.

    BB, I want EJ to succeed so bad, but isn't that a bit of an oxymoron? The myth of the "EJ Long Ball" is starting to gain traction.
