  1. Considering no one person can cover Gronk, I'd rather have Gilmore stay on the outside. Gronk always "gets his" so I'd rather not waste him on trying to limit his effectiveness. I'd shadow Amendola with one of the two CBs, though.
  2. He might be #1 on my list of guys I love to hate, but damn, I'd love him on our team (QB situation all considered).
  3. You could throw the ball to Sammy on every single play and I'm quite certain we'd be in good shape.
  4. It most certainly was not. And "dehumanizing" these fans as a previous poster said, is a pretty liberal use of the term. When I think of dehumanization, I think of war or poverty, not a stupid Instagram post.
  5. Great article in the BN explaining how Gilmore has helped mentor Darby. They watch a lot of film together, something Gilmore explains no other vets did with him while he was a rookie. As for letting Gilmore walk, I don't think Rex is going to let the Revis/Cromartie departure fiasco happen all over again. Plus he's really freaking good.
  6. If Rex is really the player's coach we think he is, I believe they won't pull their normal crap in this game knowing what it means to him.
  7. Of course it is. Anytime we gamble on a live outcome there is luck involved. I'm just not buying into the skill aspect of the companies' argument. If it was so "skill-based" there wouldn't be professional gamblers spreading six figures on hundred of entries to get a 10% return.
  8. It takes thought, but it certainly does not take skill IMO. Watching more football to become more informed is no different than going to the track to watch your favorite horse breeze before the big race. With that said, gambling on the ponies is legit, so why isn't Fan Duel?
  9. Pretty spot on here. I don't think his contract was out of line, though. Rich Cimini's article proclaiming Fitz as the QB the Jets always wanted (wow), reminded me of how much we loved him when he played well here. Easily one of the easiest guys to root for. Tough as nails and a bit weird, really a great combination for Buffalo. I think Fitz likes to hang onto the ball a bit too long...hoping this is the week the D can get into the backfield consistently.
  10. I think a lot of people are sick of the superficial treatment those teams/era have typically received. I'm expecting a pretty cool narrative considering 30 for 30 has their sh%t straight.
  11. He'll get a heroes welcome at the 50, too. He's helped the Jets more than the Bills this season.
  12. I've always looked at Levy the coach as a manager type. Not a knock by any means, because it took a special type of coach to manage the talent and egos of those teams. Levy the GM set the team back 5-10 years. Arggg.
  13. If Sammy has a good game, bet your house there will be people here calling Revis washed up.
  14. I could give two craps where they were drafted. Gilmore's PI penalty was a damn heady play, imo.
  15. There was a play in the game that summarizes the reactions on the board between the Gilmore bashers and Darby lovers. It was a 3 & 4 conversion when Landry converted with a tough catch in pretty tight coverage (IMO, great throw and catch. Good coverage, too. These two are not mutually exclusive). My point is, if it was Gilmore, we'd hear a lot of "he needs to finish plays" or whatever. With Darby, i haven't even seen anyone bring it up. The double standard with the two is amazing.
  16. Based on your postings, I don't think you've "enjoyed" too many games.
  17. Ive only been to "fake" Dead shows but dozen of Phish shows. I find/found both way more civilized. I wouldn't compare the hyper-masculinity and debauchery of Bills games to the debauchery of a Phish show. Although Bills fans are way more generous w their food!!
  18. C'mon, kiss and tell. You're no fun.
  19. No. Have you? And if so, who was s/he? I saw Steph Curry play live once, though. Best performance I've ever seen in person. He's an offensive savant in my book.
  20. I love hockey, but to think there's more honor in the game than football is up for debate. For every stand-up guy, there's a Rafi Torres. There's a reason why the NHLs conduct policy is under as much or more scrutiny than the NFLs . There little precedent, and of course, those thrilling 5-min video explanations telling the masses why player X will get 5 games for his latest elbow into player Y's head. And fighting in the NHL is trending toward the least honorable thing as its staged and rarely fills a purpose.
