  1. Who's the hire? Feels like the QB class this year...a bit thin. It's retread city out there.
  2. Hughes was very good last year. Perhaps the only guy to earn his pay on that side the ball. He started off amazing this year, but his play has dropped no doubt. Curious to as why. Have we seen his ceiling? Is Rex limiting him? Who knows. But yes, theres little doubt at this point his scheme is not working with the current personnel.
  3. 25% is crazy. At least they're good, I guess. Rob Ryan is a buffoon. Jerry strikes me as someone who probably called his BS. Maybe after two seasons of seeing the D signals come in late, confusing the hell out of everyone, he decided to say something.
  4. He had them at like 7-3 or something. How did he do that?? F'ing impressive all things considered. I liked Pettine. I suppose the lure of a HC position sometimes outweighs all the negatives surrounding a particular job has to offer. Gotta strike while the iron is hot probably applies much more to the fake industry of pro football. Can't blame him in hindsight.
  5. Yeah, our offense sucks. If he wants to go implement a run heavy scheme, I suppose it'll be one less team that's a threat to win it all.
  6. It was a wonderful post a while back by someone I usually disagreed with. I can't think of the name right now. But, damn was he right. Said Marrone was a survivor. Cold, cruel and calculated. Used these traits to make up for other shortcomings. Self-preservation was key. I didn't ever really rate Marrone, but it made me think about him differently. Tough to think some of the guys currently might be in the same boat. There's only going to be more leaks going forward as everyone begins to dig in. It's be interesting for sure.
  7. Thats interesting. Wonder if he'd let Jimbo patrol the sidelines like he so often like to. Unintentionally hilarious.
  8. I love Harbaugh. I'd love watching him piss in Belichicks coffee but actually be able to back it up.
  9. Yeah, no Bill Cowher for me. The Whaley recommendation was coaching fraternity nepotism at its finest.
  10. Yup. CB across NFL is generally pretty damn poor. You could add RB to that conversation, too.
  11. Very true Gunner, but most GMs suck. I'm a fan of always having more swings at the piñata
  12. Maybe, maybe not. I don't want a "Patriots Guy" or a "Ravens Guy." I'm not sold on our "Steelers Guy." If we do clean house, I want a new vision. One thing I agree about with Schopp is, the Bills need to stop acting like we are the Patriots or the Seahawks. We need to start thinking outside the box, act like the underdog for once.
  13. DeCosta is popular because people think Newsome is the best in the business. Doesn't mean he'll have success on his own. The Belichick Tree kinda sucks.
  14. Technically we also had Trent Edwards if you categorize him as a QB. I'd be willing to forgive this oversight on your part given his career and body of work. There's some truth to this, but again, it's always easier to criticize after the fact. I believe a QB should be selected every draft, not only for the hope of developing him but also for future trade currency. RE: The 2004 draft class, I'm quite certain its been documented the Bills were willing to move up to Pitt's spot and grab Big Ben but Pitt told us to F off. If Pittsburgh trades out of the spot, it's unlikely this thread is ever started and you don't want Russ's scalp over a variety of heresy and alleged personnel tinkering.
  15. I'm glad you pointed out the media guy still has his job. When I think of the Bills ineptitude, I think of Scott Berchtold.
  16. Poops McGee? I wasn't a fan of his man management skills.
  17. Shady might be a mercenary to some, but that dude balls hard every time he steps between the lines. And he's ridiculously good.
  18. He is, indeed. A mad genius. I thought of a 3yr deal because of this. But objectively speaking, Jed York f'ed it up big time by siding with Balke over Harbaugh. They're two coaches removed and a world away from what they were 5 years ago.
  19. You're probably right, regarding Harbaugh. But I'd offer him 4-yrs for 60 mil and see how strong his commitment to UM is. Funny money might make him think about it. And frankly, I could care less if it makes us look desperate. We are desperate.
