  1. I would guess our search begins and ends at One Bills Drive.
  2. ??? Are you confusing Buddy Nix hiring him as his replacement.
  3. One can argue Whaley should've had a contingency plan in place (not Kolby Listenbee) when the last OC turned the #2 WR position into a 6th o-lineman. Who in their right mind would wanna stay around for more of that? Our WR group is comically thin. Humor me. And remember, columns are opinions.
  4. True that. And when he's one of your higher priced players, that's exactly what you want.
  5. I love Shady. I defended him when many called him a mercenary. The guy balls hard every time he straps on the pads. Some might call him a "me guy" but I can't think of a better label for an RB. He's just not a name that jumps into my mind when someone talks "Bills Leadership."
  6. I'd add AW to the list, but your point remains the same. Not much there to right the ship when the crap hits the fan.
  7. No wonder why we suck. I'll grant you KW, but man its a stretch calling those other guys leaders.
  8. On the contrary, its more of an unwillingness to adapt. When a player achieves success under a scheme that requires less thinking, they begin to think "why do I have to do this, the other way worked just fine." I understand this mentality...work smarter, not harder. However, even if it were more complex, I'm usually against the monday morning qb'ing when a coach leaves. One of the few times I'd prefer the pre-packaged cliche answers.
  9. He did. I'm just searching for that some piece of middle ground to make sure blame goes to all
  10. You're reaching. Of course we don't know what is said behind closed doors. But Whaley "gave" Rex his QB, "gave" him IK, "gave" him Ragland/Shaq. Meh. The standard operating procedure from OBD has been to spin the narrative in Doug's favor going back to the Nix era.
  11. Unfortunately, he made it easy on the Pegulas. Lots of stuff me and you could see from our living rooms. Thats a bad look. I just subscribe to the fact there's more at play.
  12. Just the person trying to capitalize on those losses for their own good? One Buffalo my ass. The front office is everyman for themselves. First thing today about the Bills that made me chuckle!!
  13. You're probably right. But Bill Belichick isn't on the market and he doesn't grow on trees. It's like saying if Brady was on this team, we'd probably win 12. I'm just saying, w/o the addition of a GOAT coach or a GOAT QB, is this a 11-12 win roster? I strongly believe this is what Whaley had led Pegula to believe.
  14. On the defensive side of the ball, I see a unit more suited to a 3-4, while the other half should be playing a 4-3. I've always maintained Whaley is a hell of a scout, but when it comes to a wider vision, I have my questions.
  15. I don't dislike Whaley, I think the jury is still out on his body of work...But if I'm a head coach candidate, would I really want to work with the guy? I'd see an inner-circle of Pegula, Doug and Russ and think when the crap hits the fan, I'll be the one left w/o a chair.
  16. Rex f'ed up the D. To this there is no doubt. But if Whaley is suggesting to the Pegulas--which I'm sure he is--that this is an 11 win roster, our ownership might be more stupid than some think.
  17. And Schefter reported Bills to start EJ. Yeah, that makes no sense. Doug still thinks EJ can be the guy?
  18. Is starting an unprepared QB a smart long-term move for the franchise?
  19. He has a propensity to be a knucklehead, but he's handled the situation with class. Refuses to blame. Doesn't lash out at the JV media.
  20. You cherry picking Big Ben's stats to favorably compare Tyrod to him?
  21. I urge many here to watch the CB play around the NFL. It's piss poor. Our's have played well considering they're often in the wrong position given Rob Ryan is an idiot.
  22. I think he's pretty decent with the exception of the lack of a Doobie Clause in MD's contract. I don't think I'd want Whaley negotiating the minutia of an NFL contract, so he's probably here to stay.
