    IDK, but it would seem there would be some serious dead money implications. Not saying that's stopped Beane over the past year... And truth be told, none of their "wheeling and dealing" or draft capital will matter if Allen isn't good. If he's legit, lets roll. If he's not, they get fired. Just the reality of the NFL.

    Objectively speaking, SVP is not one of those guys yelling at each other. Massive layoffs were in part due to rising (one can argue ESPN overpaid) broadcast rights and changing TV viewership habits. Not Scott Van Pelt.

    Nowhere. Purely the GMs decision. But in a profession where the hit rate of uncovering elite talent is low, its a worthy discussion imo to discuss when chances to get said elite talent aren't taken. I know there's multiple counters to this line of thinking, but its a fun discussion.

    I'm all for draft capital, but most teams draft poorly.

    Fair enough. I will say, DE/OLB is one of the few positions I'd upgrade at anytime regardless of where the rebuild/roster is at. From a Bills perspective, paying Mack makes way more sense than a OBJ or other skill position.

    True. But ours was so f'ing anemic I just wanna dream. In a day w/o any positives, I'm just pretending Mack coulda been ours. Sad, I know.

    You're correct. But two things I'd add for perspective. A) Gregggggg Williams is a douche and schemed for the game and B) Miles Garrett might be the best DE in the league.
