  1. My wife's 'favorite' play..."The one where they run the ball into the area where all the guys are."
  2. Barkley's breathtaking displays are taking the pressure off Manning. Such a great move by the front office not to panic and take a QB.
  3. To be fair, Josh Norman has that effect on almost everyone.
  4. From where I sat as a fan, Tony always had an inner sadness and skepticism that were pretty easy to see. It became more evident as the seasons of No Reservations proceeded. By the time Parts Unknown came about, it was front and center imo. It's pretty clear in watching his early seasons compared to his later stuff. Sad indeed.
  5. I was there that day. Four hours I'll never get back. His best throw of the day was a 25 yd seem route that would have went for 50+ yds and 6 had our old friend Robert Royal not dropped it. That was a bad day for the sport.
  6. I have no desire to can these guys now. That would be stupid. But its fair to criticize their decision to strip the offense and delay laying any foundation of talent on that side of the ball while throwing Allen into the furnace. They've effectively burnt a year of his rookie deal and possibly stunted a year of his development.
  7. Do you think this would apply to the NFL where many regimes only get 3 years or less?
  8. Well, what type of yogurt are we talking about?
  9. It is. Our last three HCs all believed in a run first, ball control office. They bet (and likely still do) their jobs that a strong D and ball control offense is the way to win in Buffalo.
  10. It should have been the case last year. Instead, we stripped things down and burned an entry level year off Allen's rookie deal.
  11. He's been sacked 2nd most, that's good, no?
  12. This. Being able to salvage a point forces teams to push for the extra goal. It works just fine. 3-2-1 in NHL seems so logical it actually makes sense they haven't adopted it given the people who run the league are morons. But ties wouldn't bother me because the shootout is stupid imo.
  13. When a team makes a substantial investment for a QB at the top of the draft, the onus to win begins that day. It's my opinion, surrounding that individual w the most talent is the obvious and only way to go. Taking another QB next year is asinine. But it's fair to say the front office neglected OL and WR bigggg time whether in this past draft or through free agency.
  14. Drove home from VT during most of the game. Picked up bits and pieces on the radio. Were Allen's incompletions a lot of drops, accuracy issues, etc? Curious what the numbers "say."
  15. Good point, because I would suspect the majority of those skeptical of an all female broadcast team would never stream a game via Amazon.
  16. He's a weird study, because I always think he plays well even when the stats aren't there to back it up. Love watching him every game. I know Talley always rates him high. Good enough for me.
  17. Did Amazon stream any preseason games that you know of?
  18. I won't put words in his mouth, but pretty sure he was speaking to their longevity in the field, Kramer's long-time affiliation w the league, and their overall competence in their respective media roles thus far.
  19. How does one get experience calling an NFL game w/o calling an NFL game?
  20. Ha! No need to crush you, I know what you're saying. It's important for a QB to have a little Fitz in him if you know what I mean. Tyrod could have used it.
  21. Wow, I'm not there yet. I never felt sick on 3rd downs with Tyrod. I remember that guy picking up plenty of 3rd downs with crazy runs and pocket escapes.
