  1. Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification.
  2. I do. It's way more expensive buying fresh produce weekly than eating cheap, mass produced products.
  3. Are you including a protein? A fat to cook the veggies in? Beans and rice will sustain you, but it's not a long-term diet. I'd agree that as an individual it's doable, but when you include a spouse, then children..it adds up quick. For better or worse, many Americans follow the wheel barrel approach i.e. a trip to BK for $2 is easier than a trip to the supermarket.
  4. I have a Shinola. Nice company from Detroit. I've never been a metal band guy, so they're a bit more subtle with the leather band. I think they're a nice looking piece without breaking the bank.
  5. Overall I'd tend to agree with this. But it's expensive to eat healthy.
  6. Imagine being a co-ed at a holiday party and have Mike Gilbert proposition you to his room? I think Clay Davis might say Scchittttttttttttttttt
  7. Yep. Kinda a no brainer. Philly didn't wait too long to announce the obvious, either.
  8. If he's cut, there's no reason to think he wouldn't get decent money to play on the outside. So I'd say no, strictly from a $$ perspective.
  9. Not even close as you note. AD is so freaking special. AD to the Celtics is a no-go until Kyrie opts out in the offseason so this is the only window the Lakers could offer a package that might tempt NO. If it goes to the offseason, I can't see the Lakers offering close to what Boston could do. I think he's gone. The Warriors are Steph's team and will always be. The Clippers are a serious contender if he stays in the West.
  10. http://www.spiegel.de/international/cristiano-ronaldo-kathryn-mayorga-the-woman-who-accuses-ronaldo-of-rape-a-1230634.html This was the Der Spiegel piece a few months back FWIW. It details the alleged incident.
  11. A bit off topic, but Mike Leach's greatest accomplishment at TT was locking up that ESPN guy's son in the shed.
  12. Not entirely. It sounded like Golic got a little butthurt that Greeny didn't tell him personally he was entertaining offers to do his own show and break-up their run.
  13. Statistically, I didn't realize how impressive his rookie year was. Conservatively speaking, even if it's a small jump Baker's gonna be a ~30TD ~4,000yd guy in his second year. If that's his floor, I'd be quite happy if I'm a Browns fan. I think he's easily got 40 TD 4,500YD potential given the way the league is trending.
  14. I was cautiously pessimistic going into the season, now I'm cautiously optimistic. Pretty jazzed for '19.
  15. In a category filled with some distinguished nominees, they managed to lap the field. But long live Booger. He shouldn't get the ax if there's any mix-up in the booth/sideline. Yes, and new metrics to rate these too, I believe.
  16. Correct. 5th-year option is an average of the top 10 prior year salaries. Outside of top 10, I believe an average of the next 15 salaries.
  17. Remember when he turned down a chance to interview for HC?
  18. I'd throw big money at Matt Paradis. Not sexy, but bolstering the o-line is my biggest hope for free agency and/or draft. Give me Jonah Williams at LT in the 1st and move Dawkins to the right. I'd be optimistic to say the least.
  19. It's not lost on players, either. I follow the NBA pretty closely, and many players have noted this is a typical reaction from front offices after pre-draft visits, interviews etc. It's obviously meant as a compliment, but it's not taken as one.
  20. I mean, he did weave in a "***** got a bad check/insufficient funds" reference in there, too. I'm damn well certain that the speech was pretty heavily influenced by skin color.
  21. I think you were right the first time. His haul would be insane. Mack brought in two 1st rounder plus change. The QB premium adds another 1st imo.
