  1. I forgot about Edge of Tomorrow. Really enjoyable.
  2. Great cameo by Cruise. I’d argue that the Mission Impossible movies have been really good that few years, too.
  3. Smart guy! Akorn makes a good Kamado usually wayyy cheaper than it's competitors. It's comparable to a Green Egg but I'm sure I'd get some push-back on that.
  4. Onondaga Lake. No fishes there.
  5. I watched First Man last week. Thought it was very solid. Armstrong was badass. The moon landing sequence was rally well done.
  6. Oh, hello Twitterland. Didn't see you there....
  7. I grew up in a charcoal family. Higher heat, better sear. I think a Weber charcoal grill is amazing.
  8. I like every preparation described above. Summer I lean towards grill, winter time sees more cast iron. No right/wrong way, just don't cook it past medium. ? Side note, I've hit a bit of a lucky run at Wegman's lately. I swear some guy in the processing facility is sticking to his manager or stoned off his rocker at work. Three times in the past 6 months or so I've gotten ~Prime in the Choice family packs. First time it was four strips for $24. This last time was from a 4-pack of filet I cut up to make a steak n' the grass sub. I almost feel guilty.
  9. He's actually good, too. I've heard him do a lot of radio hits over the past year or so and he's kind of a natural at it.
  10. Always tough to project a young player's future production when going from a protected situation to something like the Sabres. I'd argue his production would still go up. He'd see tougher minutes (but more minutes), but would presumably supplement any dropoff in 5 v 5 scoring by some PP time. I love a young kid with all 5 v 5 production.
  11. It would be an amazing deal for the Sabres. TB's beat writer for The Athletic said the Lightning would never do it, so I'm not too keen on the deal happening.
  12. I suppose it's good asset management by Morey. Even though his contract is ludicrous, RW is younger and better at this point than CP3. And when you factor in Paul's remaining term, RW is more valuable over the next couple of seasons. I just can't see him playing second fiddle to Harden.
  13. Well said. It also wouldn't surprise me if they flip Paul for more assets at this point. Presti has played a couple of bad hands just about as well as anyone could expect. Impressive. The NBA is so fun.
  14. Probably Liam to screw w his bother.
  15. Unseeded American took out the #1 seed earlier today. Coco vs Halep later today. Thank god for the women.
  16. Oasis Wonderwall. Blew me away then and still does in the right setting.
  17. +1. The bylaws of VAR call for it to be implemented for "clear and obvious" errors by the officials. I'd argue it was used to good effect during the Men's WC in Russia last summer. However, as some leagues and the most recent use in the women's WC have shown, it's become both a crutch for poor officiating and a way for officials to enforce the rulebook to the proverbial 'T.' Things like incidental contact, clutching & grabbing, and close Offside are now routinely reviewed. Hardly "clear and obvious" situations. Some media members have even been told that officials are instructed to let close Offside situations go uncalled because they now have the benefit of replay. Again, hardly "clear and obvious."
  18. Same here. They got a little rowdy in their first game against Thailand. A lot of people didn’t like them celebrating up 10-0. Out came the pedestals and a small minority wanted them to lose from then on out.
  19. Yeah, wine markups anywhere are among the worst. Most places that sell by the glass will buy in a quantity where that first pour equates to their cost for the whole bottle. That sucks.
  20. I think it’s code for “maybe he won’t sue our team doctor now.” Weird to say the least.
  21. Sign me up. Looks fun, don't know if it looks "good." Emmerich scares me as a director. Wife and I have a "one for you, one for me" movie going policy. This will definitely be a "one for me."
  22. Yes, those are the prizes for the 1st place team. Nobody in US Soccer would tell you in public or private the USMNT have a chance of winning, so the $38M figure is really a moot point. Realistically, the men's team earns between $8M-$12M dependent if they progress out of the group stage. A percentage of this is what would be distributed to the roster after they are eliminated.
  23. The FIFA allocated prize money has nothing to do with what US Soccer choses to pay the respective teams. It is simply what the tournament awards teams who win.
