  1. Exactly. The word out of Nashville was that one of the reasons why Fisher became so disenchanted with VY is because he had to literally cut the playbook in half due to his inability to run the more complex packages. The talent on that offense is very solid with or without Moss added to the mix and Kerry Collins still got the nod (lesser of two evils?) over VY. That says a lot.
  2. Because their head coach, while a HOF player and motivator in his own right, was incapable of halftime adjustments and gameplanning to beat his oppoenents. The stuff I've heard coming out of San Fran regarding his schemes make Jauron's teams look "Martz-esque"
  3. Some think he wasn't worth the hassel, but having him land in Miami would have stunk. Per Shefter twitter I should add.
  4. What does a good RT go for these days contract-wise? I'm thinking Elway knows he'll be too expensive because he'll be on Tebow's blindside now. Top 5 might be pushing it a bit
  5. I could be wrong, but isn't Stafford's injury shoulder related as in multiple dislocations?
  6. He was the coach of the last playoff-worthy team in Buffalo. Not bad all things considered. He was the first to realize the stupidity of the Marv braintrust and cut loose before the debacle Chan and Buddy are attempting to clean up now. Pretty smart if you ask me.
  7. He's totally right, but you don't throw the franchise under the bus when you are far and away the highest paid punter ever.
  8. True, but Sanchez and Big Ben were brought into teams with good defenses that made up for the learning curve. Both made it to the Conference Finals their first year. It can be done many ways.
  9. Do tell, do tell. You're really buying this argument? They get a sweet ass meal card that serves up glorious food from such gourmet providers as Sodexho. UMMMMMMM. But seriously, don't buy the woe is me argument these guys are spouting. They get many more perks than the avg student while being asked to play a game in return.
  10. Of course we want championships. People advocating DL are just smart enough to realize that winning championships isn't going to occur until this team hits on 2-3 drafts and rebuilds along the DL. They also realize that a project like Cam Newton does not transform the Bills overnight into a winner and that any QBs success will hinge on protection (OL help) and more offensive snaps (a result of stopping the run and getting off the field), hence the reason why upgrading the lines are most important.
  11. True, but correct me if I'm wrong, they addressed the OL big time with the FA center and drafting two OT early in 1st and 2nd. Not to mention taking Chris Long on the DL a few years back. See a pattern? Fortify lines and then get the QB.
  12. On paper that looks great, but can Merriman play outside OLB in a 4-3? Not sure about that. Where's Moats go? Remember how he looked in pass coverage during the preseason.
  13. Somewhat true. But they're not playing the most important position is all of pro-sports. Money is obviously important to him, and I don't believe for one second that he wasn't cognizant to what his father was doing. That's a red flag for me at QB. It took Vick 8 yrs and a stay in jail to realize that you can't simply get by on athletic talent, the quality the majority of Newton supporters are enthralled by.
  14. Valid points all around. Lee's inconsistency is maddening. I've stated this before, I really think Lee will put in the effort with Fitz this offseason to improve their chemistry. That's why Fitz to Stevie was so effective. I just think for the money, you keep him. That is until we draft AJ Green...
  15. Yeah, we've been following that approach for years. Works awesome. Whitner could be gone, but why Wilson?
  16. Why wouldn't he be available at #3? No one is confusing this kid for Andrew Luck at 1 and the Broncos have White Cam Newton. I can't believe people would entrust the success of the franchise to a person with Newton's checkered past. This pick has the power to either propel the team forward towards a string of playoff appearances, or if we miss, it will set us back years like the Mike Williams debacle. No way I put that pressure on Newton. Can he read defenses and more importantly, does he have the work ethic to succeed? IMO, no. I sense a high degree of arrogance on this kid. He's a beast, no doubt, just not the type of beast we need.
  17. True
  18. Wow. Those are two of the worst MD I've seen. I'll be at the liquor store.
  19. Do you mean Harris? Love him, but might be too much. Ayers would be awesome too, but we'd have to trade back into the 1st to get him.
  20. It's not your money. And it's not like the Bills would spend it elsewhere. Notice how Stevie only had 1td when Lee went out?
  21. Cause he killed it in training camp against other rookie and street free agents. It's where legends are made. Another thing about Batten that scares me is that I've read the Bills are training him to play the ILB spot. Thats what they did with Moats and many can remember how he looked in coverage during the preseason. So that would be DE in college, OLB during camp, and now ILB. Seriously though, if Poz is resigned, then you can have him, Moats, and Merriman as 3 out of 4 LBs hypothetically. A free agent (David Harris, a long shot, I know) would alleviate a major need and allow it to be used on the lines. Makes almost too much sense, I know.
  22. I will poop my pants and the drink champange....
  23. Yeah, it sucks, but today should be the last of the 'draft Luck' talk. If he comes out, he goes #1 no matter what. No team trades away it's first pick if it has a prospect the media has wet themselves over as much as him.
  24. I would love to see the expression of the Panthers war-room w/ this proposal. Sorry dude, it will take a lot more than this. Especially when another man's trash is another man's trash... Oh yeah, Bowers.
