  1. Def in my top 10. A masterpiece so good, Costner gets a pass in my book for every other crappy film he's made.
  2. Just curious where you got this number from. Lucas Oil Stadium was built for 750mil and is good enough to host a Superbowl. You speak of the weather of the Great Lakes like it sits on a fault line in California with a volcano a mile a way. Chicago and Cleveland both appear to get by with open-aired stadiums.
  3. That's sad for some of these guys. I better get a good financial advisor after I win Mega Millions tonight. However, I don't have pity for LT or Travis considering how they lost theirs.
  4. Thank you for pointing this out. You're dead on. I said the same thing in another post. Disagreement is one thing, blatant refusal to accept other's opinions and constantly insulting others is quite another.
  5. Well, to start...you have Marvin Austin going in the 4th and Moffit going in the 6th. Move them up 2-3 rounds and it's more realistic. And Will Hill makes Pacman a better alternative to the character police.
  6. Really? Our defense was peaking and just shut down Eddie George. Considering Tenn. was the team that made it through the AFC that year, I think the Bills were a threat to make a run. JVille was good, but nothing special.
  7. I'd never of thought about it like that. Good point. But just imagine if they drafted for need and took Ngata 1st, and then traded up to get Whitner. Marv just had it backwards, and Whitner wouldn't want Ed Reed money. Instead we'd be resigning Ngata to a contract, getting Whitner signed reasonably w/o the past 6 months of vitriol, and, AJ Green would make perfect sense.
  8. Yeah, it's his way or the highway.
  9. I love it how you denigrate every poster's opinion on here whenever you disagree with something they say. Way to keep up the discourse. I find it even more funny, that you proceed to insult the poster as a "pro scout," then go on lay out your own scouting report with bolded font. Pot meet kettle.
  10. I never mentioned Suh as an alternative. I just was inferring taking skill positions as luxury picks for teams with serious needs along their lines is a dangerous game to play. FWIW, I really like Johnson, and as I mentioned above, I like Green too.
  11. Yeah, because he reminds so many people of Kyle Boller...
  12. I like AJ Green. But how many games has Calvin Johnson won Detroit?
  13. Agreed. I could be wrong, but I have a sneaking suspicion that if he weighed 241 people would be saying "the kid has adequate size, he's at 241 already so another 7-8lbs and he'll be fine..." It's a numbers/measurement game at this point of the year unfortunately. Clay Matthews weight wasn't the only reason he has translated into a star at the next level, his 10yd burst was his class's 2nd fastest after Percy Harvin.
  14. Good post. I think people get caught up a little too much with how much he weighs. Players' weights fluctuate constantly throughout the course of the season as well. The kid is legit, and has the resume to prove it (unlike another speed rusher on our team).
  15. I like him. Seems inconsistent, though. Price probably too high. No go.
  16. True, but I think it's important to differentiate between "running QBs" and "mobile" QBs. Rodgers and BR both are forced to scramble for their lives once on every series because their lines suck. I think they still both fit under the umbrella of pocket passer. As does Brady, Manning, Brees, Rivers, Schaub, Ryan, Flacco etc. I'm not sure if I agree there's a trend where running QBs will be the norm. McNabb played his best ball when he learned to be a pocket passer. Vick was lauded this year not for his running, but for becoming a better passer with vision and a reluctance to take off after going through his first read.
  17. That was my impression as well, but it's difficult to decipher what he's saying half the time. For those who believe Miller's too small, Clay Matthews was 240 coming out of college. I wouldn't get too hung up on that quite yet. He made a very subtle but important play I thought, when he was able to trip up Kaepernick, in space, short of the 1st down in the 3rd. Just showed me his ability to do things other then rush the passer. Kaepernick is blazing fast too.
  18. Yeah, he wanted no part of that. 9/10 on the unintentional humor scale.
  19. Very true. Troup had 34 or 35 reps at the combine on the bench, and was considered very strong. He, like most rookie interior linemen, had a difficult time adjusting to the intricacies of the game i.e. technique.
  20. I've watched a few of his games and seen many interviews. He sounds nothing like the bumbling idiot you make him out to be. As far as draft reports, isn't that what we all go on? I'm certainly going to respect their opinion more then yours when it comes down to the final evaluation of a player. No offense...
  21. These are pretty outlandish comments. Calling out his accuracy is one thing, but saying he lacks the physical/mental makeup to be a successful NFL QB is a bit much. The report on Locker is that his work ethic, mental makeup, and intangibles are his best selling points. That's impressive, especially when you take into account his physical attributes. You obviously don't like him, but to say if he was black he'd be undrafted is the stupidest thing I've heard on here in a while.
  22. I want DL at #3. But if it comes down to Green, Peterson, or Gabbert, I'm warming up to the idea of taking the QB. If your gonna go down, may as well go down in a ball of flames.
  23. When you read this comment it makes 100% sense. But if you really think about it, with the uncertainties of our FAs and inability to get anything out of our "deep" pool of corners, CB very might well be a position of need. It sucks, but it's true. This is what happens when your past 1st rd. picks don't develop at a reasonable rate and/or aren't retained when their contracts are up.
  24. Not happening. Baltimore has made it known he isn't going anywhere. Please let this not happen. He is one of the most detestable players in the league IMO.
