  1. Got me. Score you 1 Score me-0 That they do, that they do.
  2. agreed. no biggie. Wow. Sounds like you might not get much sleep tonight...
  3. Yeah, I think that I might have been too harsh with that word. I don't like labeling people that I've never met, either. My thing was that it was stupid for him to consent to having John Daly there given his background, and the allegations against Mallet.
  4. Cam, Locker, and Dalton came off as I would have expected them too. And then you have Mallet... He comes on, mumbles, is a bit "squirrly," seems a bit immature, a bit scripted/unsure on how to answer Gruden's questions... And then he talks football. Instantly, he goes from Jed Clampett to Joe Montana. You could tell it was a comfort zone for him. Whereas in other areas of life he is nervous/unsure, when discussing football x's & o's, he killed it. Very interesting I thought IMO.
  5. Amen. To laugh at a guy in his situation at that time, before he became a superstar, is just plain dumb. You're a moron. The only time Brady ever gets fired up (or as you say "Taunts") is during huge games at pivotal moments. God forbid a superstar showing emotion... Also, way to call out a guy for phantom injuries w/o any substantial evidence to back up your claims. Hate him cause he KILLS the Bills every year, not for some BS reason you think you know about.
  6. Sorry, but horrible argument. And if you want to play the "who's size and game does he remind us of" card, remember the inflated sack stats against weak competition are eerily reminiscent of Maybin. FWIW, I've heard more on Quinn being like Gholston than Miller being like Maybin. Perfectly articulated.
  7. Thoner has a boner for WSS WSS: Appreciate the insight even if I tend to disagree w/ much of what you say. Nonetheless, it's always good discourse with you on here. My take... 1) Agree on Peterson. Would be better on Eagles or press type of team. I remember Julio catching 4-5 on him real easily. Just a snapshot, I know, but for all the hype... 2) Wouldn't be mad w/ either Dareus or Fairley. Risk reward as you point out. 3) I think you're personal character attack on Bowers is unsubstantiated 4) We know we both disagree on Miller 5)I think we both think Cam or Gabbert could work w/ Chan at the helm 6)AJ Green is bust-proof 7) AM I CRAZY, BUT IS PRINCE A DARK-HORSE CANDIDATE AT 3? I think he'll be the best CB of this class. Scary, I know. 8) Cam/Watt both good trade down targets. Ha. I agree, thats funny.
  8. What exactly does "the best arm" even mean? Does he have a stronger arm than Mallet? He's also a career sub-60% passer. He also operated a offense geared towards his running. If one thinks Cam will take a beating with that style at the next level, CK will be roughed up much more w/ his wiry frame. Also, who cares about a QBs broad jump, cone drill or shuttle run? These mean nothing when evaluating possible success at the next level. Just my opinion.
  9. No, I agree. He looks a bit small there, I was just being a smart ass about their suits. Von Miller has a good tailor. VJax isn't your normal WR though. That's like putting nearly every LB in this years draft next to Cam and saying the same thing.
  10. I just see a guy who knows how to dress and has a good tailor and one who buys a suit off the rack... Also, VJax was suspended for juicing last year. Amazing what those things will do. But then again, you want the guy who hasn't played in a year AND you want to change his position.
  11. I thought you've said before he's make an awesome MLB?
  12. I think he'll be there at 10. But if that's who they like and they want to trade back and get him and he's gone, JJ Watt is a nice consolation prize. Especially for the 2nd rounder plus change they would pick up.
  13. You've been wrong in the Vezina discussion earlier in the thread and by omitting Miller's play in two ECF series. I'm sure they're selective oversights on your part, but when doing so, don't come back with the "Miller let's in soft goals" argument (especially when using Game 7 vs. Carolina when we had a JV defense in front of him as an instance of such play). Also, comparing Hasek's teams to now is just ludicrous. Different game, even with the officiating tightening things up the past few seasons.
  14. Exactly, so when he tells you to stay away from a QB, you listen.
  15. He's been behind a borderline HOFer and this past season, lost his job due to injury and an MVP caliber season by Mike Vick. Let's just say circumstances have not been in his favor.
  16. Nope. Tough to mix these up... National Hockey League (NHL) William M. Jennings Award An annual award "to the goaltender(s) having played a minimum of 25 games for the team with the fewest goals scored against it." Winners are selected on regular-season play. Overall winner receives $10,000, and runners-up get $6,000 and $4,000. The Jennings Trophy was presented in 1981-82 by the National Hockey League's Board of Governors to honour the late William M. Jennings, longtime governor and President of the New York Rangers and one of the great builders of hockey in the United States.
  17. No ifs, ands, or buts. Enroth could be riding a 10 game streak and Ruff will go back to Miller (as he should).
  18. Walk across any college campus from a SUNY to Harvard and you'll quickly see those smoking cigarettes are at little risk of becoming a social pariah. It's absolutely amazing how many kids still smoke.
  19. Me too, it would actually be awesome. We just better pray that FA happens and the Bills plan on looking at the defensive side of the ball there.
  20. I tend to agree. What exactly a breakout year will be in terms of stats is another matter. I would like to think, based on what you laid out above 700yds rushing, 50receptions 7-10tds is totally reachable. With that said, I think we'll have one 1000yd rusher on the team and that will be Fred Jackson. I honestly believe that Chan will not overuse Spiller unless he's just killing it his 2nd season. He's got Freddy to use for another year and has the luxury of not having to pound Spiller 20+ times a game, something that would lead to a shorter career for CJ. Spiller in a sense is being held back for Chan's year three push for the playoffs. Totally hypothetical, yet a distinct possibility.
  21. I know, he seems to be the poster child for "I'm rich and play in the NFL but I'll be broke in 5 years." Really sad actually.
  22. What's ridiculous about it. He's laid-off by his employer and can't afford something that is usually covered by his healthcare.
  23. 1) Nix also said 90% of everything said at this time of year is BS, so who knows about trading. 2) Trading back give them more ammo to trade back up. Or simply, they think Mallet, Ponder, or Locker is their guy. 3) Moot point if he is picked at three or gone by 10 4)Skip 5) Makes sense
  24. Didn't Rae Carruth have his pregnant girlfriend killed. He qualifies.
