  1. I know, it would be quite the spectacle. He still has a house here too.
  2. Am I crazy to think that JP wouldn't be a bad choice to bring back for one of the back-up spots? I mean, it's slim pickings for QB FAs this year and you've gotta think drafting a QB is still high on this teams priorities in the coming years. He's gotta realize by now he's a backup at best. By giving Fitz the job, you can't bring in vets that think they have a chance to unseat him in camp. Kind of a wierd position to be in.
  3. What are the 5+ positions he flopped at? Just curious, I thought it was only DE and OLB.
  4. That's a bit out of context, no? He wasn't anointed the the better QB by his play on the field, rather by some misguided judgement of the FO "going w/ their guy."
  5. So true, and you could even throw Losman's "good" season in 2006 to the debate. I can't actually believe I just said that, but it's true. F#@K we've been bad at QB for so long. People are actually debating bringing on a guy with 50mil on his contract. That is money that can hypothetically be spent elsewhere.
  6. No man, it's definitely a car being mentioned. Jenkins might have had a cool car in college, or got an advance from his agent and bought a car already. If this is the case, he's a moron and Hairston shouldn't aspire to be like him because modeling your spending habits after a guy who buys a car during a lockout w/o a signed contract is shady money management.
  7. Awesome and interesting hypothesis you lay out here. Thanks!
  8. Actually they ranked the "retro" helmets which had the Bills coming in at the 10 spot. The article goes on to say it will be the helmet the team uses in 2011. So technically we came in at #10 on the list.
  9. That's a perfect example of him glossing over facts when something sounds right. The other day he spent 30 min debating Jordan/Pippen vs Lebron/Wade in a 2 on 2 game. Fine, but then he says something about Jordan being 3 1/2 inches taller than Wade which is just factually incorrect. Nothing big, but he seems to do it quite a bit. If someone calls to correct him on this, he'll degrade him and call him trivial.
  10. I was somewhat surprised too, only because of the fact that there have ever been 3 black GMs throughout the NFL's history. And this is with Newsome and Reese holding their current positions with the Ravens and Giants. He was no doubt promoted based on merit, but it's a progressive hire nonetheless. And that's not a word you usually associate w/ the Bills.
  11. Once again you take a harmless opinion and turn it into a personal attack. Lovely, just lovely. About the WRs, Johnson, Fitzgerald, White, and Wayne are the only true elites. Calling Miles Austin or Pierre Garcon elite is stretching it a bit.
  12. Did you say it was back pain, anxiety, or glaucoma?
  13. That might be part of the problem. I think your stats are a bit off dude. No worries, he had 32TDS and 8INTs. Good arm, great leader, better production. The whole package. Also, he had a 70.7% completion rate in 2010.
  14. Read my post genius. I gave you two reasons why we lost those OT games. Good teams ready to take the next step don't make those mistakes, especially in OT. Keep telling yourself that we could've been 7-9 or 8-8 if not for "this play" or "that call." There's been a lot of that this past 10 years. 8-8 next season would be a huge accomplishment. There's no crime in a 4 game improvement.
  15. I agree recruiting to Stanford isn't as tough as many make it out to be, but to be fair, the admission requirements even for football players at Stanford are 10X more difficult then Oklahoma's. To me it's a no-brainer, but for the kid with a 850 on his SAT and the expectation to attend class, Oklahoma looks much more intriguing.
  16. Explain to me how we could've "easily" been 7-9 last year. We lost those close games for a reason. We couldn't close out good teams when the chips were down. Stevie's drop aside, the Baltimore and KC games are perfect examples of how bad we were, not how close we were to being good. Good teams strip the ball from stupid players, bad teams w/ avg. QB play throw floaters to the other team. If you expect 10-6 next season, you'll probably be unhappy. I just hope it doesn't make your posts any more one-sided and angry.
  17. Simply not true. We're freaking 62-98 over the past decade. Coming off 6-10 and 4-12 season and a major rebuilding phase actually in progress w/ young talent for once, there's nothing wrong w/ an 8-8 season. That is progress. Young players winning, not 7-9s w/ stop gap vets.
  18. BAM! This alone makes the offseason a resounding success.
  19. On another note, he's only 6'3 245, so the size-police might think he's too small to make a comeback. Either he was smaller back in the 90s, or he has kept in amazing shape.
  20. Oh, and there's this unpleasant reminder... No Wall of Fame
  21. 1. Maybin (no production) 2. McCargo (minuscule production, tried to trade him) 3. Losman (serious character miscalculation, hamstrung next years draft)For all the people moaning about not taking a QB, this is the perfect example of not taking one just to take one. 4. Williams (can't fault Modrak too much) 5. Hardy (perfect example of a high pick being wasted)
  22. If there's any women on the committee, Biscuit will never make it. He did some pretty deplorable things.
  23. I loved Modrak. I am pissed off. He was our only organizational mainstay, a real shining beacon of franchise stability...c'est la vie.
