  1. I don't think being drafted too high has anything to do with it. If he said something like that, it's just him being immature. But everything Chan has said about him indicates he is coachable and a good worker, just someone lacking any innate football sense.
  2. True, but the same can be said for the millions of people who know their vote does matter but choose not to vote because they are too lazy.
  3. If you expect more from your 5-7 round draft picks than your 1-3, you might be a Bills fan. If you expect more from your UFA signings than your entire draft, you might be a Bills fan. Go Bills!!!
  4. I feel like Pryor would get the "JP Losman/Troy Vincent treatment" here. He seems to be a rather huge douche. Coming from being the man in a city and program that placed him on a pedestal, he'll be in for a huge awakening in whatever locker room he ends up in.
  5. Hard Knocks is an HBO show that is filmed during training camp with each episode being aired the week later. The show is produced with the highest production values and offers behind-the-scenes access that all fans crave. Some of my favorite things about the show include... 1. I like the "real time" feeling of the shows being aired quickly after their filming. What happened on Tuesday or Thursday is being edited and aired for the Sunday show. 2. HBO brings a rated R feeling to it that no other medium can offer. 3. Underdog storylines. They always follow a couple of guys on the roster bubble. This is why the aforementioned posts concerning Jasper would be interesting. 4. Great camera work. 5. Gives unprecedented access to players. You get access to guys and gain a better idea who the players are under the helmet. Stevie would shine in this role.
  6. I can say with the highest degree of certainty, I will never attend a CFL game in my life. No diss on Canada or the CFL, just couldn't cheat on the NFL even though she's being an arrogant, spoiled be-atch.
  7. 1)That's a bit much. No, we aren't media darlings and no, we aren't headline material. But nearly all football fans are cognizant of the Bills existence. 2) True. They would be #32 on the list or at least close to it. Funny thing is, HBO is so solid in its production of just about everything that they would probably make the Bills come out looking good with many new fans rooting for the underdog.
  8. Is this guy a combination of our draft pick and Spencer Johnson? Good optimism though. I'd be real excited if all these things came true.
  9. And I'm sure the list ends around there. I just tend to buy into the notion that running backs are more of a result of the system. Players w/ elite skills (as Spiller is supposed to have) can overcome some of the deficiencies of their oline and offensive scheme where touches are limited.
  10. Correct me if I' wrong, but you don't get 4.3 guys in the later rounds as you suggest. He has a unique skills-set. No, he didn't produce his first season, but something tells me that his physical traits will help him be a cornerstone of the offense for years to come.
  11. I'm replying to a broad section of Bills fans in general, not just you. But fans obsession with players who can contribute on special teams is sometimes humorous. It seems there's a mentality to keep players who are less-skilled at their position because they can contribute to special teams. This should apply to roster spot #53, but to no one else. Good teams have the best depth and skill at their positions, not guys who are lesser skilled but can play flanker well. How many playoff appearances did all those 1st placed special teams units get us?
  12. I'm surprised there's not more "what an a--hole, he should be practicing w/ his teammates" posts here. I'm impressed. It just shows how much we all would love to do the Gumball 3000!! Plus, I think this is a good indication of what athletes who are successful w/ their money can afford to do in their spare time off the field. I'm officially jealous.
  13. On another note, if you look at the other pics in the top right corner, Jeff Wright errr, Paul Hamilton shaved his mustache.
  14. I am a huge NBA fan. I enjoy college basketball a great deal too, but actually prefer the NBA to it. These playoffs have been outstanding thus far, and any finals matchup will have the potential to be a classic.
  15. Maybe, but still a better option at this point than the young guys IMO.
  16. Disagree on Roscoe. He was up their with Stevie as the teams top WR until he got injured. You can knock his injury history, but the way he played last season has got me excited to see what he'll do after a full year w/ Chan.
  17. You're right about Roscoe's injury history, but that still doesn't negate the fact he might have been our best WR last year until his injury. I understand your desire to go with the youth movement, but Lee and Roscoe are undoubtedly two out of the top three WRs on the team. Also, remember Easley hasn't played a snap in his entire life, Jones is unproven (he got injured too), and Nelson will never be more then a solid possession receiver (nothing wrong with that). You can't tell me with a straight face that he can be a better #2 then Lee. This is no way to improve the offense or give Fitz a chance to prosper.
  18. True. I'm thinking the fact he was working out here with Lee would be a good indication that they are pretty tight still. I guess the only reason why I'm thinking he would be an option is because with Fitz as the bona fide starter, we can't bring in a vet that is hungry to start. The last thing we need is a QB controversy. Losman is a backup, plain and simple. Perhaps Chan could make him into a decent one.
  19. Thanks you. People are trying to get too cute with the WRs. Top three receivers will be Stevie, Lee, and Roscoe. Take it to the bank. Anything else from the other guys will be awesome. Nelson will be 4th, and the 5th spot is for Easley, Jones, or Naman. Drops are a bit overrated when you've got 9 catches for your career. Naaman is a good story, but he isn't about to push the guys ahead of him out of the depth chart. Top WRs drop more passes because they get tons of balls thrown their way.
  20. I'm honestly cool with him trying out.
  21. He's due 3.275mil in 2011. He does have a 1.5 mil bonus, but his contract was very front-loaded. He'a cheap from here on out. So don't know why your saying "he wants too much money." He's not holding out, he's playing out the contract the team offered him. I agree about Stevie and Nelson moving forward, but I can't fathom why so many people are eager to replace Roscoe after the success he had last year before his injury. You can argue he was our best WR up until his injury. He got hurt against Chicago I believe and up until that time, he and Stevie's stats were pretty even. He will be a big part of the teams offense next year IMO. Unless someone blows Chan out of the water, Stevie, Lee, Roscoe, and Nelson will be the top 4 next year.
  22. No reason to hate. You bring up a lot of great points, many of which I have thought about as well. I remember when David Boston juiced up so much he put so much stress on his joints and his career was cut short. Steroids were involved there, but same premise I suppose. Here's to hoping he comes back better than ever!
  23. You mean the strip club in the basement of the high rise his condo is in? Condo Just the fact that you're actually thinking this was a PR move on Maybin's side is f**cked up. And what does it matter that other Bills players tweeted a piece from this sight. Are you naive enough to think players don't read the news??
  24. I wouldn't be surprised in the least. However, counting on the unknown is a dangerous proposition. Kelsay deserves a lot of the crap he gets, and some that he doesn't deserve. The Pittsburgh game is an example of how effective he can be when placed in a situation to get pressure on the QB, not defend TEs and RBs out of the backfield.
