  1. Before you question poster's IQ levels, go and look at what comparable WRs have gotten in return during the past couple of seasons. You can debate the merits of trading him/keeping him, but we are lucky to have gotten a 4th in return.
  2. 7-9 Lynch stunk last year with Seattle, with the only exception being that once in a lifetime run in the playoffs. That overshadowed a largely unimpressive showing with his new team.
  3. No offense, but I don't think anyone is confusing the playing styles of Stevie and Boldin. Totally different players in my mind. Stevie is very shifty and would rather run out of bounds than seek contact, whereas DBs have a tendency to bounce off Boldin.
  4. Correct. It was also one of the most hilarious episodes ever.
  5. Not sure anyone claimed them to be going to Canton. He might not be Mangold, but Wood is a Pro Bowler within the next two years IMO. Levitre is solid, and really, the line's ability to succeed rests upon Bell's ability to grow upon last years steady improvement.
  6. I's add Byrd too, but Merriweather(sp) is a media darling.
  7. I like Tatupu, and w/ his injury history, he fits into the Bills plans. But he's a 4-3 backer. As for Morrison who the OP mentioned, I don't think we want the guy who Poz replaced.
  8. Yeah, he's pretty bad. Regularly butchers basic stuff like player names, sometimes the teams they play for, and even their numbers. You can bet this following exchange happens, "one of the most understated players in the league Kevin Williams of the Bills teaming up with Auburn draft pick Marcellus Dareus..."
  9. micro-fracture surgery dude, micro-fracture surgery...
  10. Very nice ritual. I've been on the West coast for only one game before and that was kinda weird. I think games at 9 would be even weirder/cooler. Props to the Matanuska, if I remember correctly that was in the news a while back concerning Palin's daughter's boyfriend.
  11. In 2009, Jauron benched him for what was basically the rest of the season after his fumble against Cleveland. He was playing the entire season in the 16 game years as well. Not sure what you're getting at there. You said he plays "only for the few weeks a year he's healthy." Last year was the least he's ever played in his entire career.
  12. OK, I'll bite... 2006 16 games 2007 16 games 2008 13 games 2009 12 games 2010 10 games Yes, 09-10 he has seen some time off, but his durability is a far cry from what you seem to be making of it. He'll be the teams #3 starting day.
  13. Perhaps him calling it a salary dump is a bit off, but it's a clear indication winning now isn't the priority. I guess we're only 1.5 years into the 3 year plan...
  14. Miami has a top 5 defense. Teams with top 5 defenses don't win 3-5 games. Their offense isn't nearly as bad as people are making them out to be. They are a 7-9 team. With this said, I expect the Bills to beat them twice.
  15. The Bill's do have (hypothetically) good depth at the position. Much of this is based on the limited exposure we saw of them last season. But forgive me for doubting their upside, aside from Stevie, there is no top-level talent in that group. Chan said as much when describing board favorite Roosevelt this past week. Nelson lacks speed, you'd have thought Easley would contribute this year but I'm not even counting on him making the team, and Jones could be good but who really knows? IMO, holding onto Lee is the prudent move, especially with all the talk regarding how Chan plans to integrate him more into the offense. If he is playing well and the Bills are winning, you keep him. If he is playing good and the Bill's are losing, the price for a WR on the contender could go up due to injuries. Then, you deal him.
  16. Very true, and a valid point. His contract will actually make him very attractive, and he has no leverage for a new one either. I'm just thinking his value on the open market doesn't equal the potential impact he has for the team. If we were to trade him it would be the ultimate cost-cutting move IMO.
  17. Trading Evans following a down season has drastically reduced his value. Look back at what Boldin, Marshall, and more recently Ochocinco were had for. In Marshall's case he was coming of a Pro Bowl season. The Bill's would be extremely lucky to get a 4th rounder for him. Is this value equal to his skill/impact. No. Keeping him just became that much easier.
  18. John, your optimism and observations are in line with a lot of the "what ifs" this year I see as well. However, I must disagree with your assessment regarding the OT spot. If you think having Pears switch over to the left and having Hairston start, well that optimism is misplaced my friend. EVerything else though, weirdly enough, I think it could actually happen. Perhaps it is the extra couple of cocktails tonight I've consumed, but if we manage to stop the run, we could challenge. But I seriously worry about Fitzy's ability to lead a playoff team.
  19. The Raiders. Straight up for Seymour. Al loves speed. They might even throw in a 3rd.
  20. Agreed. Easley is a goner if he doesn't come back soon and tear up camp. Don't see it happening. We don't have the luxury of keeping an oft-injured 'rookie' who has never played an NFL preseason snap.
  21. And in related news, Dre says the sky isn't blue. Always whining about something.
  22. Both are known to have attitude problems. Even a fat Mckinnie is better than what we have at tackle right now.
  23. I must admit, you're right on this. I don't put too much stock into preseason performance as it is widely known that teams usually only go with their vanilla packages. When the regular season starts, it's amazing how preseason all-stars revert back to mediocrity. I do think the performance of the defense is more indicative to regular season success. I am excited to see our revamped front 7 and whether or not we can stop the run with some consistency. If not, could be in for a long year.
