  1. He's been borderline great for quite some time, but at his age and reported contract demands (12mil per), I can see the Bills passing. One has to question how much he's going to play too.
  2. Rumor has it Garcon will be following Peyton. And w/ Meachem I guess you can look at it one of two ways...a) he didn't put up numbers with Drew Brees in a historically prolific offense despite being a former 1st rd pick or b) was there a log-jam at WR that prevented him from putting up big numbers and realizing his potential. I tend to think it is more of the former rather than the latter. Cream tends to rise to the top, and it hasn't with him.
  3. I think you can make the argument Byrd was our best player on D last year.
  4. Not really. Alternate pro-bowl and All-Pro are not a matter of semantics. Big difference.
  5. Agreed. With the rule changes on kickoffs, this part of the team is actually more valuable. Gotta have guys who can, and more importantly, are willing to win those outside match ups on special teams.
  6. His press conf. was one of the most heartfelt I've ever heard from a Bills player. Very, very glad that he is staying in Buffalo.
  7. Anybody worried about the three alcohol related incidents he's had. The frst two are forgivable being a college student, the DUI a bit more serious. I'm not a "holier than thou" type of person but the three taken together do lead me to question his motives/judgement. Last thing we want is out top pick sitting out games because of DUIs.
  8. I'd trade my left you know what for two AFC Championship games in back-to-back seasons. You wouldn't? I don't care how they did it, but their approach to FA has been more successful than not.
  9. He's legit. Great deal by the Sabres.
  10. Just curious about which of those guys you think are better then Stevie? Can't be Meachem. Garcon? Manningham? Lloyd is a nice player but on the wrong side of 30 I believe. Definitely not Robinson. All of these guys, Lloyd aside, have benefited from being the 2nd and 3rd options on their respective teams.
  11. That would be incredibly poor draft management. Not to mention, incredibly stupid IMO. Buddy is on record saying that if there is a player they like when they are picking, they will select him.
  12. Yeah, go to his twitter page too. His anger issues are coming out as people are commenting on the pics.
  13. Agreed. Imagine being a DT and having your coaches tell you in the cafetaria at training camp that you're being switched to OLB. I can see him about to take a bite out of a drumstick and then sadly set it down realizing the coaches just asked him to play a position he's going to be covering the oppositions TEs. I hate to rag on the coaches, but what the hell were they thinking with this one?
  14. He was injured coming out of college if I remember correctly, so no. Plus his character concerns were already coming to forefront at that time too. So there's a big difference between the two. Comparing him to Megatron is foolish because we may never see a combo of size/skill/speed/etc like he has. I would be elated if he fell to the Bills but I just don't see that happening. I like Floyd, just not at 10.
  15. 6'1" in cleats is big enough for me. If he fell to the Bills at 10 it would be the steal of the draft.
  16. Whooooooaaaaa!! Zing! Not sure what your overreacting to but, yeah I never read the article. But then again, I never referenced the article. Just viewing the posts. And this is a horrible comparison with Whitner. Johnson has tangible results to back up his demands (whatever they might be). Whitner didn't. Teams will see a back-to-back 1000ys WR and a players who won his 1-on-1s with the best CB in the league. Whitner's value was hypothetical.
  17. Agreed. The concept of using the Franchise tag and THEN negotiating for a long-term deal seems to be lost on some.
  18. I'm just curious what you saw that you think he was our best CB last year? I thought he was wildly incosistent (as he should be as a rookie), but I didn't think he was that great. If healthy, I like McGee on the outside still. As far as McKelvin, I think he plays well in the slot. He's better with the shorter, shiftier guys than he is on the outside. Plus, since he's inside he'll guard slants and shorter passes where his ball skills aren't exploited as much.
  19. 1) yes 2) Riley Reiff 3) DE (we can go OT @ 10 cause we're backing up the Brinks truck for Mario!!!!)
  20. I agree. Is anyone here seriously sold on Thigpen?
  21. Troup has been a complete non-factor thus far in his pro career. This is quite obvious, but I'd really like to see what he can do this year now that he is "NFL strong" (something he wasn't in year 1 ) and healthy (something he wasn't last year). I know HOFers are anointed by us fans at every training camp, but he was very impressive before he dinged up his hand in drills.
