  1. Ha I was thinking the exact same thing. I just don't like the percentages of a LB that high. Plus you can draft James Laurinitis in the 2nd.
  2. +1. If you do something really stupid, or are blackout drunk/danger to others around, by all means get booted. But some "unruly" behavior is what makes the NFL or any pro-sporting event worth the price of admission. Use it as a teachable moment. If you don't mind the swearing, its actually a great time to show him how not to act.
  3. I agree with a lot you say, but... Floyd might be one of the bigger risers of late. A lot of "experts" have him rated equal to Blackmon. And I really disagree with your thought that he might not see enough targets if he were to be drafted. David Nelson had no problem finding a niche, and I would expect a supreme talent like Floyd to have a large impact from day 1. As for Keuchly, he's really nothing like Matthews. Totally diff. positional types and athletes. Anyhow, both are good players. I just see Floyd as a pro-bowl type talent. I've said all along he reminds me a lot of Moulds. He put up numbers with some pretty lousy QB play at ND. He seems to do everything well. I wouldn't be surprised if he had 60+ rec his rookie year.
  4. Does he smoke copious amounts of ganja? I think he's more like Mike Williams. Anyhow, in the 2nd he's much less of a risk than Rogers was at 3(?) in that draft. I personally don't like him and would prefer a burner but WTF do I know.
  5. You seem to have put in a lot of thought to what it means to "own" a player. I suppose it's a pretty relative term considering the competition that Revis has consistently shut down. I don't know what it means to "own" a player, but I think we can agree he's played very well against the best CB in the league. And for that, he should be applauded.
  6. I'm cool with any one of those four. Does anyone know if Kuechly can play OLB it just seem unlikely we'd take that route with Shep penciled in as the MLB. Also, FWIW, I think Floyd has a 65+ catch season if he's on the Bills. Reminds me a lot of Moulds.
  7. Exactly my thoughts as well. I suppose we have enough ammo to trade back into the 2nd if we wanted too but here goes the never ending stream of speculation trading up always leads to haha.
  8. There's no crime in having two really good WRs. I don't understand your reasoning here. The Bills aren't selecting a guy in the 2nd Rd with the hopes that he can be a #1, 2, or 3 on the depth chart. Their taking a guy they hope can be a star. I'm sure the Falcons wouldn't have been mad if Julio Jones outperformed Roddy White last year.
  9. I agree with your reasoning but just don't see the Bills moving up from 10. I expect the Bills to plug some holes (potentially starting ones) ala Nick Barnett once cap casualties starting hitting the market. The team is still in very good shape cap wise to pick up some nice veterans during camp.
  10. Well, I don't know about a TE but you're certainly right about where LTs can be had. There's no denying this with the Bill's drafting of the position over the years. Furthermore, it speaks volumes in regards to how Buddy and Co. value the position. By their estimation, taking Hairston in the 4th was very high. Personally, I like the approach as long as they do draft for depth and competition at the position.
  11. And we should be thanking Clabo he didn't take the money because he was horrible. Pears > Clabo.
  12. I like Mcnutt a lot. Reminds me a bit of Amani Toomer. Doesn't have that blazing speed but he just makes plays all over the field.
  13. I would agree that most ex-coaches are solid. Steve Young is good, Irvin not so much. Rose lost a lot of credibility w me over the whole Michigan Duke documentary thing. I've never seen someone act so hood but look so Madison Ave.
  14. Any Given Sunday, so-so movie GREAT Pacino speech at the end. Can't go wrong with Hoosiers, or the speech at the end of The Outlaw Josey Wales where Clint goes nuts.
  15. Like who? Just curious. As evidenced by ESPN, most ex-athletes make for horrible analysts. Now this isn't always the case, it just happens to be quite a common theme in today's programming.
  16. Not at all. It's sarcasm. You're not getting it obviously. Rome is my favorite by far. He's the only national voice to constantly stick up for, and perpetuate the "good" about Buffalo and it's sports teams. As he always says, the NFL is a better place when the Bills do well. Keep hating.
  17. He's by far the best writer at the news. Overbearing sometimes? Yes. Does every newspaper have one of these types? Yes.
  18. I agree. He's one of the few guys that had 4 very productive years going deep, being a possession-type guy, pretty much everything asked of him with some pretty average QB play to boot. I hate to make predictions, but I see Eric Moulds in this guy.
  19. Ding Ding Ding! He was lost as a LB last year. I don't blame him or don't think he can't turn into a serviceable one, but he's exactly what you said he was--an undersized DE. He rushes the QB plain and simple. Hopefully Wanny recognizes this and plays to his strengths, unlike last year where we made him play multiple positions he never played in college.
