  1. If we resign Byrd and only have the money for one, who do you resign...Levitre or Wood?
  2. They're on point with this. I've even got back into boxing because of their 24/7 series w/ Mayweather and Cotto. The most recent installment with Manny and Bradley is good stuff too.
  3. I agree, but HBO is just so damn good in everything they do that even the Dolphins will come out as interesting TV.
  4. Rivers had the talented team (plus the emergence of Vjax) that your speak of and did squat w/it as well. And do you really think it was talent that SD soured on, or the fact they had a top 5 QB draft pick waiting in the wings. Money was an issue too.
  5. Agreed. I hate the system argument sooo much. I hear it with Brady all the time too. Who isn't a system QB? You know who would be really good in a Bills uni? Drew Brees. Different system, but I bet the same results. Why? Cause the dude is a HOF QB.
  6. a) very true. Steelers fans are very omnipresent throughout the nation as are Green Bay Fans. Guess why? Both small markets, both with winning traditions. Buffalo can't use the small-market argument there. b) That's a bingo. Pittsburgh, as opposed to Buffalo, has successfully transformed from its past-manufacturing roots into a modern/viable economic entity. Its funny because a lot of what Pittsburgh did (strong emphasis on education/medical) is what Buffalo has pushed for/committed to in recent recent years. Hopefully the results are similar. Go Bills.
  7. Last time the Bills almost made the playoffs was when TD was GM. Marv made him look like Polian.
  8. What the hell does the fact that it is the Cowboys have to do with anything. Put your bias aside. It's a one year trade most likely given that Leodis is probably not going to be resigned. And it's the some old mindset that guys with ST value trump better positional players. Of course I don't want him if he can't pass a physical. But if healthy, he's a better option than Leodis. What other than the lack of pass rush can you use to defend Leodis' poor play these past few seasons? I'm curious, as I've supported him too in the past and then I realize just how bad he's been. And it's not like the lack of rush has hindered other secondary member's ability to make plays and record ints.
  9. How do you figure? Contract years have guys going balls to the wall so they get paid. There is a reason why McGee is still a favorite to start and Leodis was benched for the 2nd half of the season. There are many variables that went into the decision, I'm sure. But it is quite obvious he has no balls skills whatsoever.
  10. Jenkins was a pro bowler in 09 and an alternate in 2010. He has 8ints for his career. I have a few friends who area Cowboya fans who have always spoken highly of him. I have no grudge w Leodis and have gone out of my way to defend him here on many a thread. I think he lacks ball skills like no other CB I can remember. I don't know if a pass rush will fix this because Leods has actually done a good job of covering people it's just when the ball is in they air he doesn't make a play on it.
  11. I usually don't like discussing/proposing trades of players because rarely do they ever happen. Generally it's a player for draft picks. However with word out of Dallas being that the Cowboys will look to trade Jenkins perhaps the Bills and Cowboys would be interested in swapping their 2008 1st round picks. Jenkins is the better CB IMO but is currently injured. Leodis has all the physical skills one could ask for but seems to lack the fundamental trait of looking back for the spiral shaped object when its in the air. He does have ST value as well. Maybe it's a change of scenery type deal where both teams hope a new team can jumpstart the respective player's career.
  12. Not counting 2004, he's averaged 72rec - 800yds per season. Karma ain't too bad there. Guy is productive still.
  13. Care to elaborate? Many worse human beings have suited up in the Bills uni. I wouldn't give up a pick, but would be interested if he's released outright.
  14. I'd take a look at "the soldier" down in TB who might be released. Despite the talk about his injuries, Winslow has shown really good consistency the past few seasons. He will never be a 80rec 1000yd guy like he was in Cleveland, but his past three years w/ the Bucs he's 70rec for 750yds type of player. I'm all for building with the young guys, but if were not going to draft a quality TE to pair w/ Chandler, going this route isn't a bad idea.
  15. Ahhh, a classy post with spelling errors being mocked to boot. You could have just posted the bolded.
  16. Very true. It seems that this is only going to make the situation worse from the player's perspective. Those that recorded testimony under oath are going to be viewed as traitors by some. The evidence will be turned over so both sides can have some closure in this process, but Vilma is going to look like a huge dbag if what has been said thus far holds up.
  17. The language at a Bills game largely resembles the type of speech one can be sure to encounter in the modern American high school hallway. The dress of women at games is generally more conservative and subdued then it is at school as well. Bills games present great teachable moments for one's kids depending on the tolerance level you and your kids have regarding the "fun" that goes on during games.
  18. Nix and Whaley. I don't understand why Roth would even suggest this. Stupid IMO considering it's pretty clear there's a plan in place for Whaley to take over. Not to mention Nix has done a pretty good job.
  19. I was at my uncles in Alden because he had one of those spiffy satellites. Am I dreaming this, but wasn't the game blacked-out that day? I remember being at his house because the dish was able to pick up games that were blacked out. I was only 7 at the time so my memory is weak,
  20. Plax is ridiculously slow but his ball skills in tight situations are still second to none. His one-hander against us last year was enough to remind me of that. I just think we don't have the luxury of keeping him as a red-zone threat.
  21. Mario--KW--Dareus--Kelsay --------->Merriman, Anderson on obvious passing downs. Kelsay and Anderson probably split snaps. Troup and Spencer Johnson are primary DT backups. Dwan Edwards is cut. Barnett--Shep--Morrison/or FA camp cut ala Barnett '11 McGee Gilmore Williams is 3rd CB Byrd--Wilson
  22. And VY is the "much greater upgrade?" Pass. Love it for depth or a 3-4 game injury fill in. Not gonna wins SB.
  23. Fitz has built up way too much equity in the locker room for a QB controversy. He's got guys that'll go to battle for him. That is until he has three game losing streak with 9 picks during that span. Please no.
