  1. You're useless talking to. I could care less how much other players on the roster weigh. I never alluded to them. You seem to make every comment/argument personal so I'm not going to debate you on a person's weight. You should probably relax. I don't know what theory I have perpetuated but I'm glad you have had something to "debunk."
  2. Freaking Maybin. He's not right. As for Tyrann, he's a 20yr old guy and Finnegan is 28, I just think he'll naturally fill out and make up the weight. I'm just making the comparison of their nastiness. Weight wasn't something I figured on debating.
  3. Yup, not debating his cover ability because I don't really know anything of it. I only watch LSU maybe twice a year. The size argument doesn't hold weight w/ me because he's such a young guy.
  4. Yeah, because everybody plays at their 19yr old weight 8 years into their NFL career...
  5. The size part doesn't scare me too much because corners have traditionally been a bit on the shorter side. McGee is only 5'9" too. I don't know how big Finnegan is, but that's who he reminds me of. Tough, physical guy not afraid to get into guys faces.
  6. I think Vince will have a good enough game to probably solidify his spot as the backup. Nothing more and nothing less. He will not be the starter unless Fitz is hurt or we are 0-6 to start the season.
  7. Now that it's agreed these two guys need to be resigned, anybody have any numbers in mind? Personally I think we might be looking at Weddle type of money for Byrd which I'm fine with. I'd like to see a Stevie type deal. 5yrs 35mil No idea for Levitre. He's not getting Nicks, Grubbs, Mankins type of cash but he won't be cheap either.
  8. Do you remember that time he beat the Bills after Moats knocked out Favre? Seriously, I remember thinking I'd rather have the HOFer Favre in the game instead of Jackson. Picked on Leodis all game.
  9. McGee has practiced already which makes him ineligible for the PUP list. Unfortunately not an option at this point.
  10. You hit the nail on the head. He's hurt. It's sad because he's be a consummate pro here in Buffalo, but his time might be over. By cutting him the team is freeing up money for the Byrd and Levitre signings.
  11. You forgot to add...is hurt all the time and never plays a full season. Also, McGee can't be placed on the PUP list because he's practiced already. That's not an option so if the coaching staff doesn't think he can contribute very, very, soon, there's a good chance he's going to be cut.
  12. I couldn't agree more. CB is the weakness on our defense hands down. Now this doesn't mean we don't have talent back there, it just means it is super raw and very untested. There's going to be some major growing pains. Also, I think it's Brooks that takes Williams place by week 5...Williams will be in the nickel or dime.
  13. Love the offense, but could see Martin sticking around for ST duties taking Dickinson's spot in the process. I see Sanders getting sent to the practice squad opening up a spot--perhaps on D. We differ on D. Can't see both Edwards and Johnson not making it. Troup may be a goner and Heard has been hurt so he's probably up in the air as well.
  14. Number 8 is most important. I'd like to see Vince step up and secure his job as our #2. Also would like some of the younger DL step up, especially Carrington.
  15. Robinson isn't anything very special, but Austin is very good when he's healthy. Coupled with Witten and Dez Bryant, who should be ready to break out this year, Romo has plenty of talent to work with. Now, about that offensive line... I tend to be a Romo supporter because it seems like he's running for his life quite often. Plus, props to him for having to put up with the circus of TO, Jerry Jones, and Dallas in general. I'd take Rivers over Romo though.
  16. I certainly don't see the Jets running on us like the past few seasons. That alone will make it Sanchez vs. the Bills pass rush which is good for us. Shut down Keller, and its game over IMO. My only concern is our CBs holding up, but then again outside of a banged up Santonio, they have no WRs. Best case scenario is the Bills are up 30ish-10ish in the 4th quarter and Tebow comes in and leads a TD drive to add fuel to the media circus fire that will be erupting the next day.
  17. Mike: I should have taken the Bill's job Chan: Suckkerrrr!!!
  18. He's absolutely hilarious. He's done similar bits w/ NCAA teams. Great stuff.
  19. I'm glad this thread has proven that we can agree on one thing. Andy Levitre is our best OL right now. Sign him long term ASAP before his pro bowls hike up his price. I believe Levitre will be able to be signed to a team-friendly deal unlike some of the other huge Guard deals that have been signed in recent years.
  20. Fingers crossed, trust me. Just can't envision him getting 8-10 sacks. I'm on record saying that him getting 5 sacks would be an amazing contribution.
  21. Agreed. The kid was simply not good enough to be an NFL player. He seemed to be too nice, always laughing. Didn't seem to have a mean bone or any of the killer instinct one needs to succeed at that level. Do people really think this move is going to come back and bite us in the ass?
  22. If he plays only 25-30 plays like Chan has stated, I highly doubt he makes the impact you suggest. At this point in his career, Merriman is not the difference between a top 5 or top 10 defense. I would point to our very, very inexperienced CBs as having the ability to make our defense leap into the top 15.
