I also remember at the draft where Nix/Gailey said TJ was not a slot guy. We're very thin in a position that doesn't do much to strike fear into our opponents already.

Yeah I'm not kidding with its only one game. The hot starts of the past few years produced false expectations and heartbreak. You strike me as one of those people who thought the Bills were playoff bound last season despite evidence pointing to the contrary. The reality of the situation is we walked into a buzz saw today against a team taking a lot of crap. This was their Super Bowl to an extent. We obviously didn't match the intensity. It sucks no doubt, but next week will be a far better measuring stick to see what type of team we are.

I expect Kyle to dominate his match-up with Slauson/Ducasse, but Dareus will have his hands full with Mangold and Moore. Anything we get against D'Brick is house money. It'll come down to Mario who's going to get chipped a lot by the RBs which helps our crappy LBs by not having them to cover out of the backfield.

Yup. They've done it for a few years, we're just starting. Also... While David Harris is a stud, he isn't too fleet of foot. Neither is Pace or Scott. I really think Chan has an opportunity to go 2RB sets early and often to exploit this matchup. Soften them up with this, and then pound the rock when they start subbing these guys out.

LT was past his prime in SD, so I don't classify that as a good move. Plaxico was past his prime and coming out of jail. Alan Faneca was another high-profile, high-priced FA towards the end of his career brought in by Tannenbaum. Extending Mark Sanchez so his feelings weren't hurt by bringing in Tim Tebow was another head scratcher. Given how Rex has full autonomy over the defense, I put the blame squarely on the GMs shoulders for the offense.
